Does Hogan Really Know Best?

It has to be a horrible holiday season for our favorite wrestling family, the Hogans. Seriously, how much more stuff do they have to go through? Nick Hogan, the Hulkster’s son, got into a horrible accident in August that seriously injured a buddy of his. His friend will probably now need to have assisted care the rest of his life. As if the guilt of that isn’t enough, Clearwater Police Department records show he was driving 100 mph at the time of crash. Not so good news there, buddy. This info is released as news of his parents divorcing was just leaked last week. Oye. Poor Brooke. She’s the one suffering through all this - dealing with all of her family’s drama. Actually, let me retract that. That poor boy who now has to get assisted care for the rest of his life is the victim. We’ll give you more updates on the Hogans when we have more news.
J Love Got More Than Leftovers On Thanksgiving

Forget turkey soup and mashed potato snack cakes from Thanskgiving leftovers for Jennifer Love Hewitt, coz’ homegirl got an engagement ring instead. The Ghost Whisperer star got a special antique ring from her boyfriend of two years, Ross McCall. Remember Jennifer when she was in Party of Five? She was supposed to be a guest star on the show and she practically took over the damn series. Besides her CBS show, she’s been pretty low-key on the tabloid scene, which has probably been good for her relationship. I wonder if she’s going to wear a Hanes bra under her wedding dress. The questions we ponder upon. Alas, congrats to J. Love and Ross!
High School’s Paying A Lot More These Days

It seems as if all the extra credit Zac Efron’s been doing has paid off. He’s confirmed to reprise his role for High School Musical 3 (much to the enjoyment of his adoring young fans) and he’s getting a hefty paycheck for it. Mr. Efron has reportedly agreed to complete the HSM trilogy for $3 million dollars. That’s not a bad chunk of change for the 20 year old, who’ll be co-starring once again with real life girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens. Doesn’t Zac look like a younger version of Jared Leto? Maybe they should do a new version of My So Called Life and cast him as the brooding Jordan Catalano. Just a suggestion, although we’d need writers for such a TV series, so we really need to get those striking folks back to work! But back to our boy, Zac. If he plays his cards right and does not dabble too hard on the unwanted lures of celebrity-dom, he could have a very long career. We’ll just a keep an eye out on him.
Marie Claire Cover Girl And Glowing

One of our favorite pregnant celebs, Christina Aguilera, is gracing the cover of Marie Claire for its January 2008 issue. The magazine will be available in newstands on December 11 and Xtina looks quite fetching on the cover (with just a leather jacket creatively covering her being). She also apparently opens up about being preggy and when the baby was probably concieved. Just from the tiny excerpts I’ve read from the issue, it looks to be a very intimate conversation with the singer. Christina is said to be due in early 2008 and no one doubts that she’ll be singing tons of lullabies to her newborn. Check your newstands for the new issue.
No Cookies For Marie & Mel B.

I’m not the type to say I told you so, or to even brag about my great psychic abilities, but I’ll do it this one time. As predicted by yours truly yesterday, Helio Castroneves (and Indy 500 star) won the Dancing With The Stars title. Wow! Helio and all his glory will probably be joining the DWTS tour soon, if he’s not busy driving and all that. He’ll also probably get a fat cell phone company endorsement from his namesake (this is not actually confirmed, but it would be nice wouldn’t it?). As for the losers, er, the runner-ups - we believe that Marie Osmond and Mel B. will be just fine. Marie’s career got reignited with her appearance on DWTS and Mel B. is getting ready to tour with her Spice Girls buddies. Yep, they’ll be fine. So, congrats to our man Helio. And on a side note ladies, Helio just broke off his engagement with his fiancee. We’re sorry to hear that, but hopefully the DWTS trophy can keep him warm at night.
