The Irish Are Really Understanding

The Irish airport cops, that is. We reported a few weeks ago that The Tudors star, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, was arrested at the Dublin airport on his way to London for being drunk and disorderly. It seems that Jonathan has apologized to the airport security folks and they dropped the charges. His people also told Associated Press that he will be donating to an unspecified charity to make up for his wrong doing. Rhys Meyers was arrested on November 18 and his mother passed just three days later. Our condolences go out to him regarding his mum. Hopefully he’ll find a nice charity he can regularly donate to as a way to remember her, instead of just appeasing fans regarding his almost-arrest. So Jonathan, when you do read this (coz’ he’s an avid reader, I’d like to think), just take our words of wisdom because they are meant to protect you. If you drink at an airport, make sure you’re with your buddies. They always know how to deflect attention from you when you’re drunk. That’s what friends are for.
