That Was Fast

Yes, the union that brought Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds together has fallen apart. Actually, there really wasn’t a legal union/marriage to begin with. The couple had a ceremony on New Year’s Day at a private island near Bora Bora, but it wasn’t legally binding here in the U.S. Only citizens of said island can marry there legally. Eddie and Tracey were supposed to come back to the U.S. and marry here again. Two weeks later, no wedding has materialized, and now this news of them splitting up. What the hell happened? Tracey, as some of you may know, is R&B producer/singer Babyface Edmond’s ex-wife. She’s a successful business woman in her own right, so I honestly don’t think it’s about money. Or maybe it’s Eddie’s lack of moolah that did it? I mean, he does have an ex-wife he’s still paying alimony and child support to, as well as his baby with Spice Girl Mel B. Oh, who knows. I’m sure more details will follow soon. Or one of them will end up at the Oprah show in a couple of weeks with an exclusive interview. Geez, does anyone value the meaning of marriage anymore these days? Tsk. Tsk.
