Jailed Hubby Worried About Amy

So now he’s worried. Amy Winehouse’s jailed husband, Blake Fielder Civil, is speaking out about his worries over his wife’s health. He told News of The World recently that everyday he fears his prison chaplain is going to tell him that his wife has died. Blake is in the pen for allegations that he tried to fix a trial. He sounds like a total winner. Blake has confessed that he and Amy used to have a $1,000 a day drug habit. He’s clean now that he’s in jail, but honestly, I doubt he’d be clean if he was out of jail. Blake also told NOTW how much he hates Amy’s dad and thinks he’s shady because he’s on Amy’s payroll. Dude, Amy’s totally the UK’s Britney. Family members on payroll, shady ex and current husbands, etc. Poor Amy - she’s also not going to the Grammy Awards, her father told a British newspaper. Amy is nominated in six categories and it’s a shame she won’t be able to pick up any awards (I expect her to win at least one), nor perform at the telecast. It’s just as well, though. She’s still in rehab and it’s a good sign she’s stayed in there longer than a day. I’m a total Amy fan and I hope she pulls through.
New Couple Alert?

Okay, I really doubt this is the case, but Paris Hilton and Elisha Cuthbert (below) were seen making out at Manhattan club Tenjune last night, according to Usmagazine.com. The two co-starred in House of Wax a couple of years ago and I guess they were happy to see each other again. They arrived seperately at the club, but witnesses said the two hooked up and started making out. I don’t know - this isn’t really that surprising. Paris has made out with a lot of girls before, I’m sure. It’s not a surprise that she likes the attention and what better way to get it last night than to kiss an old co-star who happens to be a chick. Paris also likes dancing on table tops but that doesn’t make her a stripper. Thus, kissing a girl doesn’t make her bisexual, either. We can all fall soundly asleep tonight now that that’s cleared up.
Eva’s Mom And Daughter Time

These pictures were probaby taken just before her Over My Dead Body premiere last night, but they’re definitely worth a glance. Eva Longoria was out and about with her mom yesterday and the two had a special spa day at the Ken Paves Salon in Beverly Hills. Ken Paves, hairstylist to the stars, is a good friend of Eva’s. She and her mom were all smiles and its a well known fact that Eva’s very close to her family. Corpus Christi-born Eva is every bit a down home Texas girl. She was a huge San Antonio Spurs fan even before she met her husband, Tony Parker. She recently got a tattoo of his playing number (9). The Desperate Housewives star and her basketball playing husband had to deal with some ugly rumors at the end of last year claiming Tony cheated on her with a French model. Tony retaliated by suing another photo agency, X-17, for reporting the false claim. I haven’t heard any updates on the lawsuit, but I’ll definitely give y’all more details when they come. A Date With Mini-Me

Dr. Evil was nowhere to be found, but our photogs did find Mini-Me handling his macking business today. Verne Troyer was out at the Ivy with a pretty blonde, for what looked like a nice lunch date. Go handle, Verne! For those who are interested, as I was, Verne is just under three feet tall. Yes, I googled him. I also found out that he was cast in the movie Heath Ledger was filming before he died, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The movie has been put on hold, from reports I’ve read. Verne could probably win an Oscar in the future and folks would still call him Mini-Me. I don’t know if that’s a good thing, but being part of a successful film series like Austin Powers is not something to be ashamed of. Welcome To The Jungle

Welcome to Lipstick Jungle, Brooke Shield’s new show on NBC. Our NY compatriots caught up with the actress on the set of her new series. Lipstick Jungle is supposed to be taking over the Thursday night ER slot. The show is being compared to another new series, ABC’s Cashmere Mafia with Lucy Lui. Interestingly enough, both have ties to Sex And The City. Besides the premise (both shows, like SATC, depict a group of successful women/friends living in NYC), both Lipstick and Cashmere have ex Sex And The City staffers on board. Candace Bushnell, who wrote the book that spawned SATC, has also penned the novel which Lipstick Jungle is based on, and acts as executive producer for the show. Cashmere Mafia, on the other hand, is also created by SATC creator, Darren Starr. Well, now that we have that cleared up, why don’t you just check out the two shows and let me know which one’s better. Thanks.
