Heath’s Dad Returns To NYC
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
Heath Ledger’s dad, Kim, returned to New York City and our photogs caught up with him today. Kim flew in from Los Angeles, where the family held a small memorial for the late actor last weekend. The L.A. memorial was attended by Heath’s close friends and family, including his ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts. It’s been reported that Heath’s body is supposed to go back to Perth, Australia, their hometown, where he will be buried. Heath Ledger died exactly a week ago in his Manhattan apartment. Exact cause for his death has not been confirmed. I reported earlier that there is someone impersonating Kim Ledger and trying to con celebrities out of material goods. I hope the NY police finds that guy soon and prosecutes him. There was no word why Kim returned to NY, but it’s noted that he might have some unfinished business to take care of for his late son. Even though a week has passed, Heath’s passing still makes me sad. RIP, Heath.
Sam Knows Best?
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
Or at least he’d like to think so. TMZ is reporting that Sam Lutfi, Brit’s very dependable shadow, contacted their very own Harvey Levin to complain about stories showing Sam in a not-so-postive light on their website. First Barbara Walters and now Harvey Levin. At least he likes to keep in touch with the media. Sam, apparently, is not very happy that Brit’s parents “barged in” at Britney’s house last night. Okay, first of all, as annoying as some family members can be, they’re probably the only people in the world who can barge into someone’s home. And that goes for everyone on earth and not just Britney. Sam is not a member of her family, yet he still sticks around like white on rice. TMZ is reporting that both Lynne and Jamie Spears are not very fond of Sam, but unfortunately Britney still keeps him around. I have no idea what magic potion he had Britney drink, but it seems to have taken its effect. She’s still under his weird spell and I’m hoping her mom has some Louisiana cure-all to fix it!
Kingston And Daddy
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
One half of Hollywood’s coolest parents, Gavin Rossdale, was caught taking his two year old son Kingston home today. Gavin and wife Gwen Stefani just announced today that they’re expecting a second child. Good times! I guess the family’s back home in Los Angeles. Gavin, who used to be from the English band Bush, has currently struck out on his own and is working on a solo album. Gwen has been quoted as saying it’s Gavin’s turn to go out and work on his music, as he had been playing Mr. Mom while she was promoting her last album. That’s what I like to hear - teamwork! I have a couple more pictures of Gavin with Kingston and the nanny in tow below. Have at them.
Following In Diddy’s Footsteps
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
Okay, actually she’s following in daddy’s footsteps, or at least taking his middle name and making it hers. It’s not enough that Miley is Hannah Montana. She had to go find other monikers to confuse me with. Anyway, Miley Cyrus changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus. For those not in the know, her daddy is ex country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus. And here’s something else to confuse me - her birth name is actually not Miley Cyrus to begin with. Her parents named her Destiny Hope Cyrus at birth. Okay. I guess I would call myself Hannah Montana, too, with that name. Kidding. So, welcome to the world Miley Ray. Please don’t change your name every two years like other celebs do. It’s really annoying.
Mom In Town For Brit’s Next Court Date?
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
Britney Spears was out with her mom and Sam Lutfi today, after going through a very dramatic scene together last night. Brit’s mom Lynne Spears actually had a planned visit and didn’t just surprisingly show up at Britney’s house out of the blue. Could Lynn be in town to support Britney for her next court date? The troubled pop star is due back in court on February 4 when she’s scheduled to talk to the judge about getting visitation rights back to see her kids. Britney has not seen Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, for over three weeks. Brit was supposed to appear before a judge last week to contest her visitation rights, but she only got as far as the metal detectors at the courthouse before she changed her mind and left. I’m hoping Lynne sticks around at least until next week to accompany Brit to her courtdate. She needs her mom right now.
