Urth To Jessica

I just got a few more pics of Jessica Alba and Cash Warren from this weekend. These were taken on Sunday, as Jess and fiance Cash had breakfast at Urth Cafe in West Hollywood. Jessica had Mexican food the day before, so she probably wanted something a bit healthier, hence the restaurant choice. I just read a story about Jessica doing a very sweet thing for a young girl with a life-threatening disease. She took the little girl on a 90-minute shopping spree. It was organized by The Kids Wish Network, which grants wishes to kids who have potentially fatal diseases. Jessica helped the little girl pick out a track suit and a rain coat. I hope the little girl got more than that. Anyway, it was very generous of Jessica and at least she had a chance to play mommy for an hour or so. Hope she enjoyed it, ‘coz she’ll be popping soon.

Hangin’ Tough

Hey, there are actually some folks who are very happy about this news. The New Kids on the Block announced they were reuniting in January and some folks wondered if it was just a hoax. Not so. And for fans of the old boy band, I have some good news for you. The original cast of NKOTB – Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight – will be appearing on the Today Show on April 4. The group sold more than 50 million albums in the late ’80s/early ’90s and officially called it quits in 1994. The ex-boy band will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their mega-hit album, Hangin’ Tough. And yes, I had the album.

Jessica Simpson Hospitalized

Jessica Simpson was reportedly hospitalized this weekend for a kidney infection. She was taken to Cedar Sinai Medical Center on Friday after suffering from a fever. She has since been released and her rep tells People.com that she’s doing fine. Boyfriend Tony Romo was not with her – he was in South Carolina at a golf invitational. We’re glad to hear Ms. Jess is doing fine. There are new rumors that Jessica married Tony secretly, but I doubt that has any validity. I think her mom, Tina, joked about Jess being married to a photographer and it got out of hand. See how easy it is to start a rumor?

Jessica’s Taco Craving

Our photogs caught up with Jessica Alba and fiance Cash Warren getting some Mexican food this weekend in North Hollywood. The couple headed over to Campos Tacos right before they went furniture shopping. Nothing better than a good carne asada burrito before you try out couches. This is the most visible I’ve seen of Jessica’s baby bump. I wonder if she’s having fun being preggy, eating whatever she wants. I hope she ate everything at Campos. Jessica’s last movie, The Eye, didn’t do too well in the box office, but she did win a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice award this weekend. Hey, if the kids love you, then you’re okay. Still no view of a smile, though. Oh, well.

Johnny’s A Magnum Baby

This is such cool news. The UK’s Daily Star newspaper is reporting that Johnny Depp is close to signing a $10 million contract to be the new face of Trojan Condoms. That’s right, the Pirates of the Carribean star could be peddling rubbers. Good times! And the best news of all – he’ll be doing commercials for their Magnum line. Happy days! I wonder if the Trojan people had to make sure he was the right person for the Magnum line, if you know what I mean. If I worked at Trojan, I’d totally volunteer to make sure. Johnny’s still a hottie after all these years. He’s aging extremely well. I guess France is treating him well. Johnny’s a huge advocate for safe-sex, so this union would not be surprising. He’s currently busy filming Public Enemies (a Depression-era film with him playing outlaw John Dillinger), but let’s hope he’ll make time to sign that contract.
