Soon To Be Daddy?

This is interesting news. It seems our favorite American Idol runner-up is going to be a daddy. According to TMZ.com, Clay’s best friend and producer, Jaymes Foster, is going to be the mommy. The site claims that Clay and Jaymes are very good friends and Clay stays at Jaymes’ home when he’s in Los Angeles. Jaymes is the sister of music mogul, David Foster, and has produced a couple of Clay’s CDs. The two are not dating, in case you were wondering. Jaymes was reportedly artificially inseminated (yes, Clay’s the donor). He will have a part in raising the child, the site reports. Clay’s people haven’t confirmed the news, but a big congratulations to Clay and Jaymes anyway. Way to add on to Hollywood baby-mania.
What A Surprise

Ashlee Simpson is pregnant. Yes, I know it’s shocking to hear, but she is. Ashlee and new hubby Pete Wentz finally confirmed what we’ve known all along - that she’s knocked up. Pete confirmed the news on his website, friendsorenemies.com. The couple got married on May 17 and just returned from a Caribbean honeymoon. Here’s what the couple had to say on the site, which actually makes a lot of sense as to why they waited to announced their news: “While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child.This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.” Congrats to the couple! I’m sure Aunt Jessica would gladly babysit anytime.

I don’t know why I picked out a picture of George Clooney halfway out of a car. Maybe I’m just trying to paint a picture on how he’s probably feeling right now…like he’s…um…halfway out of a car? Yeah, that doesn’t make sense at all. Anyway, People.com is reporting that George Clooney has split up with girlfriend Sarah Larson. The two were together for a year. They originally met four years ago in Vegas when she was a cocktail waitress at The Whiskey Bar. The pair met up again last year and sparks flew. George took Sarah to this year’s Academy Awards, among other star-studded events. There has been speculation about the two being engaged, but George shot down those rumors. Keep in mind that George’s reps hasn’t confirmed this yet, but that could be coming any moment now. I guess George will forever be a bachelor. Whoever gets him down the aisle is going to be a very special woman, or a very powerful witch. Either way, George Clooney is single once again.
Adoption Finalized

This is great news for the material momma. A Malawian court ruled that Madonna could adopt David, whom she met in an orphanage in 2006. The High Court judge issued the ruling privately in chambers in Lilongwe in the company of lawyers. Madonna and Guy Ritchie were not present. Madonna and Guy had been caring for David, who turns 3 this November, in London. David’s mother died during childbirth and his biological father placed him in an orphanage because he didn’t think he could raise David alone. He didn’t object to the adoption. Congratulations to Madonna and family. I’m sure this little adorable boy is going to have an amazing life with his superstar mom.
Pete Thinks He’s Funny

And apparently Ashlee does, too. Newlyweds Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson stopped by their friends’ Memorial Day barbecue a couple of days ago and Pete couldn’t help taking something home with him. The ribs were great, but he decided to take home a paper plate instead. And what’s a paper plate without his very own humorous designs. Gee, Pete Wentz is hilarious, y’all. That’s what Britney would say. Hey, just as long as he amuses his wife, that’s all that matters. Right? Right. And Ash does seem amused by her new hubby. That’s what I call blind love.
