A long, long time ago (or in the late 1980s), Iron Mike Tyson ruled boxing. He was one of the most feared men in the world and grown men were known to cower in his presence. Then came the rape conviction, the ear-biting incident, and other not-so-lovely incidents, and Mike Tyson is no longer a household name. It is quite unfortunate, because this man is one of the best boxers in this century, but his name will forever be tarnished. Let’s hope life gets better for him as he ages and today should be a special one for him. Happy 42nd birthday, Iron Mike! I hope he’s celebrating in style (and in the nicest, most legal way possible). Other June 30 celebrants:

Holy Halle, how did I forget to post your pictures this weekend? Shame on me! Our photogs got these lovely pics of Halle a few days ago when she was visiting a friend in the Hollywood Hills. Yes, those gladiator sandals are on the official list of things to wear in the summer, so get used to them. Ms. Halle is definitely one who can get away with wearing those suckers, but they’re surely not for everyone. A website recently named Halle one of its favorite cougars because she’s 10 years older than her babydaddy/boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry. Women have always dated younger men before, but Hollywood seems to be finally taking notice. I guess it takes hottie celebs like Halle and Demi Moore to make the cougar term mainstream. Cougar or not, she’s definitely making being in her 40s as sexy as possible. Check out more pics of Halle below.

This Pussycat Doll was one of the first folks to be photographed with her Barack Obama pin on and I’m sure she’s very excited about the upcoming elections. Not exactly something you’d imagine a Pussycat Doll doing, but hey, Nicole Scherzinger will surprise you. Hopefully someone surprised her with a big old cake today because it’s her birthday! Christina Aguilera goes out of the house without her signature red lipstick on and the paps just went wild. Actually, I have no idea why they went wild over her yesterday at the Ivy, but I was told it was quite a scene. Celebs know to stay away from the Ivy if they want a little privacy, so I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that Christina expected the pap attention. After making her way through the crowd, the new mommy went to Barney’s in Beverly Hills to blow off some steam, or to peruse through all the fabulous shoes. Fun times. I’m actually digging CA without all that lipstick on. She’s a naturally beautiful girl and doesn’t really need all that make-up, but some folks can’t leave the house without a little bit on. And I guess just by what happened at the Ivy yesterday and the intense pap attention, I can understand why she (and other celebs) would want to put even just a little bit of make-up on. This has got to be one of the most famous movie scenes (and one of my favorites) of all time. Well, at least for my generation. John Cusack on Say Anything was just lovely. It’s almost 20 years old (it came out in 1989), but the residuals from that movie is exponential. ‘Til this day, John Cusack still melts my thirty-something heart. And it’s his birthday today.
