Britney To Face The Music
Britney Spears’ hit & run and driving without a license trial is headed to court next month and her lawyer, J. Michael Flanagan is pretty peeved about it. Superior Court Judge James A. Steele rejected Flanagan’s attempts Thursday to either get the charges dismissed or the reduced. Flanagan went on to say “the matter is going before a jury due to unfavorable “special treatment” by prosecutors and a judge.” Flanagan alleges that City Prosecutor Michael Amerian is trying to “use the matter to boost his own profile because he running to become City Attorney.” Wow. Everyone does seem to wants piece of Britney these days.

Thanks JFX for the specifics.
I figured someone was trying to get ahead by making this infraction bigger, more public, and complex.
I have other suspicions.
It’s going to backfire on the judge and prosecutor. They won’t have carte blanch on dinner reservations, as Kaplan began to, anytime soon.

I also thought the hit and run was dropped but she is still having to deal with the drivers license thing.
