Dead Man Floating?

For years, the historic Hollywood Roosevelt hotel has been rumored to be haunted by various dead stars who stayed there over the years. But the hotel’s pool, site of celeb hangout Tropicana Bar, may now have one of its own—and some famous names may have swum there with him. Page Six has reported that early on the morning of October 13, a business exec from Long Island was found dead at the bottom of the pool. They continue to say that the hotel warned all its employees not to say anything to anyone about the unfortunate incident. The hotel management allegedly decided the pool did not need to be drained because “there was enough chlorine in it to kill the bacteria.” Since then, numerous celebrities have swum in the pool, including Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson, Eve, Seth Rogan and Stacy Keibler. A hotel spokesperson calls the stories about the undrained pool and silencing of staff “urban legends.” Maybe so, but management should hope they haven’t acquired a new ghostly apparition, clad in swim trunks and dripping water all over the carpeted hallways.
