How long were these two together? Did they live together? If they were common-law, he may not be as “generous” as he sounds – he may be buttering her up now to avoid a lawsuit down the road. Better to part with $9-million now than to go through a divorce and air their dirty laundry in court. Smart move, Simon. Too bad everyone couldn’t do it this way.
