Garner Gets Order Against Stalker

TMZ reports that actress Jennifer Garner has obtained a court order against a man who has been stalking her since 2002. Stephen Burky, who is currently under a 5150 psychiatric hold, has been ordered to have absolutely no contact with the star. Garner, who is pregnant with her second child, has stated she fears for herself, husband, Ben Affleck and daughter Violet. Her declaration says “Mr. Burky has been stalking and harassing me,” sending “packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts and following me around the country”…and adds that in the last year “his obsessive and harassing behavior has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening.”


Garner’s security guard Dennis Bridwell fears ”Mr. Burky now represents a clear threat to Ms. Garner’s life.” A hearing tomorrow could make the order permanent. Hopefully, this guy will either get some help or be locked up where he can’t harm anyone.
