Sheikh Hired “Brain Power Guru” For Jackson

Somehow, any story involving Michael Jackson starts out weird and gets weirder. On Monday, Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad al-Khalifa of Bahrain sued Jackson for $7 million for breach of contract after the singer failed to deliver an album. Then Tuesday, Jackson’s lawyer announced he was too ill to fly to London for the trial. Today the NY Daily News reports that the sheikh spent $350,000 to bring “mind-mapping and motivational guru” Tony Buzan to Bahrain for a week at the singer’s request—and on the sheikh’s tab. The pricey guru was supposed to get Jackson’s creative juices flowing. Obviously, it didn’t work or Jackson would have finished the album and wouldn’t be getting sued in the first place.
