Is Britney Feeling Smothered By Dad?

112408BS6

TMZ is reporting that Britney Spears is itching for more freedom from her daddy Jamie’s iron rule. It seems that Britney wants to get around more, like taking her kids out during the day and going clubbing at night. She also wants to be allowed to see Adnan Ghalib, with whom she has kept in contact, but daddy flatly refuses.

So is it time to give Britney more freedom? Or is it too soon?

    There are alternatives to c-ship.

Give the girl her freedom. Modify the existing c-ship or whatever. It’s crazy and now suspect how controlled she is.

  2. KLM Says:

I mean, at least take off the choke chain and lengthen the damn leash.

Every wrong move she makes, she’s quickly let know it is unwanted behavior.

Yes, I think she deserves her freedom!

When the kids are in harbor again, then all will be different.

Of course she will remember and still have feelings for thouse who really have been her friends.

When the hard times hit you, you never forget those who really loved and care.

But she and the kids need to be together first of all.
And that, I think, is what her dad do work for. He look for her deepest interest.

    So I believe.

  5. Amapola Says:

    faugh

I have just ssen the ugly vidoe on x site where the a Stalkerazzi try to provoke Jamie Spears to loose his temper.

I´m so glad that in my country at least all talk open about how the Stalkerazzis in LA/US work.

In my country many people chewing tobacco (also women ;) ) and that video on x site, will for sure make the Stalkerazzis look as stupid ash****

Good of you Jamie Spears to not let you get provoced. Like you!

He needs to loosen the grip. He needs to find a balance that works for both of them. If not, it could backfire down the road.

  8. wolkenbroer Says:

    Too soon.
    Brit prob’ly feels pretty good.
    Doing what she’s ok with.
    Lookin good, protected.
In control but fragile yet i reckon.
    Gets knocked over pretty easy.
    Ya can see that.
Not a good idea to bolt from the start gate yet.
Repairs take a while after ya’ve been splintered.
Biting at the bit just a few months on in?
    There’s a pretty spot on-sign she’s not ready!
    Give it a while longer.
    Adnan’s no slipper.
    He’s solid mate.
    No wukkas.
    She’ll be right.
    Give it time.

  9. gigi Says:

I say loosen up the grip and let her see people. I know she needed help when she was just getting out of the hospital and she may still need help with business matters but she should be able to do certain things when she wants to. How many of you must ask you parents or some other adult if you want to see your friends, call your friends or go out to eat with friends. This is too much control.

Even if the interview was orchestrated it’s nice to hear Britney take a risk and say something bad Kevin.

If all she said were positive things I’d be worried.

That’s crazy Britney. Britney on blind dates. I wonder who is picking them.

    I wonder to what purpose.

Or is it to give the illusion that Britney is truly single?

Did ya’all watch the Rolling Stone photo shoot?

It’s the first time I have felt truly lousy and voyeuristic. If a person is in on it that’s one thing.

Are we watching a sick girl dance to the music? If so, how ill. Did she know this video would be sold?

Are we watching a healthy girl dance to the music? If so, how wrong that she does so under a stigma.

Those in favor of c-ship look at your sick girl or healthy girl. Does she match the requirements of c-ship? If so then what we are watching is ill.

When Britney talking about “…When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear me, but they’re really not listening.

I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in.

This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed”
    ”””””””””””””””””””””’

Could it be the paparazzi/gossip sites, rumors among the the public she talk about here?

(If she in this quote are talking about the c-ship, one can at least say that she is free to speak free)

But IF its about the paparazzi, gossip sites and the publicx rumors, she alludes to —”When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear me, but they’re really not listening.”

The very ones who put her in “jail” is the papz.
They do the same on others too, but not as ugly as on Britney Spears.

She could have seen Adnan, but who made it impossilbe?

    The enviousness among the paparazzi.

Britney Spears and Adnan Ghalib have no friends among the papz.

This site have been different, but know the writers here are going out of control too.
    Sad to know. Very sad.

  19. gigi Says:

she looks great in that video. I do not see a sick person in that video. I see someone having fun dancing and enjoying have the pictures taken.

  20. Amethyst Mine Says:

That was my quandary GG. She seems healthy and capable not “severely disabled.” If I am to believe she is “severely disabled” then it’s uncomfortable to watch.

Ama. JFX and crew are paparazzi. They are very much friends to Adnan and Britney. MT is also a paparazzi. I believe his intentions are good toward the couple and to us.

  21. Amethyst Mine Says:

  22. gigi Says:

if she does do a US tour I would love to see it but I’m sure she will not come to our litte arena. No one ever comes here. It doesn’t seat enough. I’ll have to try to get tickets and make a trip of it.

  23. gigi Says:

Yes jfx and mt are friends to Adnan and Brit. They have shown that over the last 10 months since I’ve been here.

  24. Amethyst Mine Says:

Indeed, since we have all been here, not to mention that Adnan was once the leader of the pack of paps.

When I think of the paparazzi I differentiate in a manner that I couldn’t in previous ignorance and unfamiliarity ten or even eleven months ago.

When I read a blanket statement without similar or at least some differentiation, from someone as privileged to be here as I … it makes me sad.

Afterall our friends are either reading this blog or hearing about it.

Mark, btw. I don’t think I fully appreciated the landslide music you offered. Thank you does not seem appropriate so how about I feel for you brother.

Did anyone watch Showbiz Tonight last night? They had the person who did the Rolling Stone interview on, and it was interesting. She’s interviewed Britney before and she said this time it was different. I’m going to post the link to the transcript….if they have it.
Did you know she wasn’t allowed to ask Britney any questions about her father? No, “how do you feel about your father being in control?” I found that to be interesting.

  26. small hands Says:

    Here is the transcript:

The remarkable interview with Britney Spears was done by Jenny Eliscu who`s a contributor editor from “Rolling Stone.” Jenny joins me right now in New York. I really appreciate you being here.

Quite an eye-opener, this article. And I know you have interviewed Britney Spears many times in the past. I remember when you were hanging out with her in her hotel room while she was watching “American Idol.” But this time, a much different Britney. And I want to read a bit of what you wrote about her this time, quote, “She is shyer, more guarded, remote – like old Britney but with the volume turned way down.”

Can you explain exactly what you meant by that?

JENNY ELISCU, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, “ROLLING STONE”: Essentially, she was less effervescent. And you know, my previous experiences with Britney have been – she`s been very accessible and she`s very likable and down to earth and very easy to talk to because she strives to be accommodating and to answer the questions in the best way she can.

Unfortunately, in this situation we were both hemmed in by the fact that there were all these restrictions placed on us, which I talked about in the story. And so it wasn`t – you know, the experience overall was so different from what I`m used to with her.

HAMMER: Yes. You talked about how you actually had to get approval of the questions you were going to be asking. You were told you could only ask questions about the album or about her boys. And you know, it seems everything she`s doing right now is controlled. Why do you think this is happening and did you find it disturbing?

ELISCU: I did find it somewhat disturbing, yes. You know, in my personal opinion, it was somewhat disturbing, yes. From a reporting standpoint, it`s hard to say exactly why they are exercising so much control. I think some credible, you know, theorists would say that they think it`s for her best, that they`re protecting her from impulses that clearly were not good for her last year around the same time.

And you know, another school of thought would be that, you know, a lot of people stand to gain a lot if this album, “Circus” is a success and nobody wants to risk it not being a success.

HAMMER: And I know her manager, Larry Rudolph, who is a big part of watching every move she makes right now, was right there in the room while you were asking these questions. And you write about the fact that you asked what I think is a pretty natural question to ask about her dad, Jamie Spears. And Larry said, “Whoa, that is way off limits.”

So what sense, through talking with Britney, did you get about her current relationship with her dad, Jamie, who of course – they were once estranged, and now he`s her conservator?

ELISCU: Well, you know, I didn`t get any sense directly from Britney about working with her dad because that`s a topic that was not allowed. So you know, again, it was exceedingly difficult to get a sense from her of what she really feels about what her life is like now.

And is she really happier now versus before? A lot of people will say, “She`s doing great. She looks so great. I`m sure she`s doing so much better.” Sure, we`ve all heard people say this about Britney, just seeing the stories that are out there.

And the question is, is she really doing better? Unfortunately, you know, I couldn`t ask her, “Are you happier now than you were when everyone thought you were miserable or not?”

HAMMER: And that`s what people would like to know because they want to hear it from Britney`s mouth herself. Man, that must have been frustrating …

    ELISCU: Very frustrating.

HAMMER: … just doing what we do. Now, you did get a little insight into some things going on in her personal life.

    ELISCU: Yes.

HAMMER: You got to ask a few questions and a little insight into the fact that she has now begun dating. I found this fascinating, this one particular quote in the article, quote – this is about one of Britney`s date. She said, “Right when we got there, we just knew it was bad. He looked like an older version Harry Potter, but skinnier.”

Now, Britney used the word “we” because she was there with an associate of Larry Rudolph`s and her assistant was there. And I`m sitting here thinking, OK, first of all she went on a blind date. Second of all, she has all these chaperones. It just seemed weird.

ELISCU: Yes, it seemed weird. And again, that was something that I was surprised because she brought it up. You know, I was – that would have been a topic that was considered off limits. But she brought it up.

And I think, you know, maybe in her own way, she was trying to give me and us and the reader a little bit of insight into what her day-to-day life is like. Because, you know, knowing Britney in my previous experiences with her, she`s not the kind of girl who brings an entourage on a date, you know. She`s not diva-ish at all. She`s very, like I said, down to earth. And I can`t imagine she would have done something like that prior to being under this conservatorship and having this, you know, control exercised over her.

HAMMER: I can`t even understand Britney going on a blind date. Did she give you any insight into what that was all about?

ELISCU: No, she really wouldn`t really say more than she said, but it is –

HAMMER: I mean, think about that for a moment, “Britney Spears, here`s your blind date.” I wonder if he knew ahead of time.

ELISCU: Yes. I know – where did he come from. There`s the martial arts guy she talks about. I was dying to know more, but you know –

HAMMER: You got a little bit out of her about Kevin Federline.

    ELISCU: Yes.

HAMMER: Actually, she opened up with this one particular quote. I thought it was pretty telling, quote, “I didn`t think my husband was going to leave me, otherwise I`d be with my babies 24/7. But since they`re almost like twins, they both take care of each other.”

Did you get the impression Britney was sad that the marriage ended or perhaps relieved?

ELISCU: Well, it was strange because I asked her – she said that in response to me asking her how motherhood differs from what she expected. And I didn`t expect her to answer that way, you know. And I think a lot of people would be surprised by that answer in part because we view it as, “Oh, Britney finally got rid of Kevin Federline.” And for her to say, “I didn`t expect my husband to leave me,” it`s sad. It`s sad to think that that`s how she views it.

HAMMER: Yes, I walk away from this whole thing a little sad. And I have to say, Jenny, despite the fact that you had your hands tied, we do learn a lot, and it`s a great read. Thank you very much being here.

    ELISCU: Thank you.

HAMMER: Jenny Eliscu from “Rolling Stone” magazine. And you can pick up the new issue of “Rolling Stone.” It`s got Britney right there on the cover. And it will be on newsstands everywhere this Friday.

Sad. Less effervescent? More self-conscious? (RS photo shoot) Mature?

I had an Adnan my self but in a very different way and at a different age. The thought of him during so much bleakness helped.

btb, she’s dislikes other people’s control more than her own dad, as reported by TMZ, does that mean she does like Andrew Wallet? I wonder how Andrew sees her. She is not afterall the client. The state is and Jamie are?

  32. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Reading it right now.

  36. MARK TWAIN Says:

No worries AM. We can all agree that at this point, disturbed and frustrated is no longer our own words. AM, you and SM and the others who keeps posting and talking about her keeps things in the light. Someone trully appreciates all thats been said and done. This place is the spearhead no doubt but we’ll all be in the back once media hord moves in.

Now as we sit, the ‘Rook’ that moved from our side of the board to theirs is no other than the media. Britney able to speak a few words opened up the door that we’ve been waiting for. ‘Message sent and message received’ as I say. As strange as it maybe. We have been talking for her here on this site. It’s one of the reason that I really do appreciate Amapola’s views.

I did say to our friends that once this happens she will be on lock down. The more stories leak about her situation and the more question are asked about Jamie Spear then the more she pays for it. Like her phone for instance. It is trully her last hold on freedom. And we all know what had happened to it. Now she has been silenced. This is the part I dont understand where Amapola finds ways to circle about the truth.

You guys keep things in the light. People have been reading.

At the same time…the more I read about Jamie and Lynn, the more I realize that they sound JUST like my own parents! I love them…but…they certainly have a clear picture in their heads about what I should be in life. And that picture is much different than what I want for myself.

Don’t get me wrong – I know that I’m no Britney Jean Spears. But thank goodness for that. I’m not sure that I’d be able to handle the pressures that come with her life.

This is not directed to you MT – just the latest interview with Lynne and Lynne’s brief comment on ‘jail.’ There is a brief glimpse of our friend and his girl.

  44. Amethyst Mine Says:

I meant not directed to you specifically MT. It is Australia however.

I wonder what the French are saying on their blogs. Surely the movement of the rook will touch them.

I think I may see why you appreciate Amapola’s point of view. I can get a much younger version of it on other sites and therefore get some kind of overall demographic feel.

The young kids would rather she be unhappy but they are the same kids who are still in their parents’ support, e.g., they can move back home and it wouldn’t be “that” weird.

Then I have my mother’s point of view at 83 yrs old. “That’s ridiculous!” she says of Jamie and control and I have mentioned elsewhere that she can be a very controlling person.

If we can turn up the light though? How more to do so than with the rook? You were right MT. She’s on the board. She has been the whole time.

I love teamwork. You’ve got me thinking though as far as cleanup goes.

I don’t think we are getting the ring back. There’s all those people who are to make money with the success (Jamie’s promises) of this album and a “redeemed single girl” aka mesmerizing sex symbol. Available.

I’m still wondering about the judge, covering her own back. She surely heard the news, “Britney’s unhappy. She’s lost her effervescence. She is self-conscious.”

It’s funny what some deem as maturity.

  60. Amethyst Mine Says:

(Jamie/Lynne)’The couple divorced in 2002 but have never fully severed their ties, and course close to Britney say she felt betrayed by their reconciliations. “Sometimes she would call Lynne’s house and, and Jamie would answer the phone,” says one source. “It made her feel like she was being taken advantage of.”‘

“When I met Jamie Spears backstage at the VMAs, he shakes my hand and says, “Take care of my baby.” The “or else” is implied.

    snip

“Jamie declined to be interviewed, and when I sat with Lynne briefly in October, she stuck to platitudes.”

Wow — everybody keeps saying the same soundbytes from the reporter on Showbiz to Lynne. Here’s Lynne using the same words she used in the Australian video we just saw, “Needless to say, I was heartbroken and hurting for my child.” bla bla except for the author,

‘”With her True Religion jean and frosted, layered bob, she could have been Sarah Palin on casual Friday as she spoke in the slow, patronize tone of a kindergarten teacher: “We’re looking forward, and we’ve got nothing but good and wonderful things ahead.”‘

    snip

“(It’s very rare for a young adult who is not extremely ill to have their rights assigned to a conversator. But the conservatorship system doesn’t conform to the same evidentiary standards as the criminal courts require, and many convervateers in California and elsewhere complain that the law unfairly deprives them of their civil liberties.)

  61. MARK TWAIN Says:

  62. Amethyst Mine Says:

If you guys want me to stop tell me. Otherwise new info and a new name.

Tha is fale, and you know it. You further stated that M. Rale has no right to see his client without approval from the temporary conservators. That is also false.”

Sorry for the link…It’s to one of my favourite X headlines of all time, just for the pure comedy factor. It just reminded me of the car.

  65. Amethyst Mine Says:

Did the reporter actually hear the tape? It would seem so.

‘”I basically just want my life back,” Britney can be heard saying in a tape of the call. (In her world, people sometimes tape each other’s phone calls.) “I want to be able to drive my car. I want to be able to live in a house by myself. I want to be able to say who’s going to be my security guard.”‘

But that was back when Streisand was involved and Britney clearly did not want her dad to have control over her.

  67. Steel_Magnolia Says:

“Then he started saying how for 20 days he’s going to Baghdad to teach the troopes, and I started thinking, “‘Is this guy full of shit?’ Like what does he do?”

    snip

Final paragraph, (she’s practicing using the whip on the lion and laughs to herself)

“In that moment of make-believe, the singer seems finally happy, liberated by her ability to become someone else. Even Britney recognizes this about herself. She describes to me a song she wrote last summer, “about artistic expression and the masquerade of people ating and putting on shows,” she says. “Through that, you create your own world. The song talks about how other people are coming into this girl’s world, but she didn’t invite them in. So she’s saying, ‘Why are you here, if I didn’t invite you?’ It’s complicated, but you can tell it’s me who wrote it, because it’s in my voice, and there’s a difference.”"

    I’m venting….and venting…
And Lynne sounds like a broken record already. Get her off tv already. She is really something else. Really.

  96. Amethyst Mine Says:

    thank you, small.

  97. Amethyst Mine Says:

Did you get your RS? I quoted it faithfully save the typos.

But um, who says Britney made the decision? More than likely she has her “terms” and these are the .. temporary attempts at pacifying her?

What if they took her head and twisted it into believing she can’t trust herself but hey if dates are what you want… Brett works for Dad. They all do.

I do like the bodyguard finally though. It’s different than in the beginning.

  98. Amethyst Mine Says:

It’s funny how astute an 83 yr old can be. Mom was’t snowed at all. “Ohmygod, I never heard anything so ridiculous.

It is the expression she uses the most often in context to Jamie Spears and that family. She doesn’t even respect Lynne anymore between the book and more current events. Not that she ever respected Lynne but Mom tried to keep an open mind when I gave her the book.

I think Mom related as a mom when she read that book … when she first read it. Am I spitting venom? A little. Best in the interest of Brit to consider all sides, the possibilities and the f’d up situation before us.

Let her go, Papa. Trust her. Let go.

Just reading over at Brit’s official site, and I’m seeing the same wording come up over and over:

“Britney’s the ringleader and she most definitely calls the shots.”

“I dig Britney because she is living her life out loud, creating her own rules along the way and turning out kick ass tracks in spite of it all.”

…It’s interesting that “Circus” was the last track that they cut (I think I remember Brit saying in her first radio interview, “Oh, we just cut that one three weeks ago.”)

Now everyone’s going to be repeating this over and over…Brit’s a ringleader. SHE calls the shots.

    Hmmm.

  103. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I know you were asking small but… Brett works for Jamie as far as I know, “Brett! How we gonna explain this to her?!” Britney Spears.

    MH sorry about the rain.

Small. My mama may be controlling but she’s respects people “being members of society.” This new shit with Brit, and old, touchy to her. My mother has her own mind. She does not like this conservatorship crap at all.

I wish you could picture my mom. F’in bitch (I say with respect) is formidable. Not a single man I have met, not one, has not respected her.

Didn’t hear it. There were pictures of Lynne and Brett from last year. The pics claimed she was her assistant. I also heard she was Jamie Lynns assistant. Either way, she’s been w/ Lynn and JL way before she ever appeared with Britney. Brett needed a job I guess.

I think her PR team has likely anticipated that questions about the C-Ship would come up. So between Lynn’s book and some of the songs on “Circus,” they’ve planned ahead and gotten themselves ready to put some positive messaging out there to counteract it.

Looking at what the “brand” is saying, and what the media is now saying…I think the truth probably lies somewhere in between.

  112. Amethyst Mine Says:

Interesting about the RS article. The blind dating info was info Britney volunteered.

I don’t think Lou included or would have included that in the program.

I wish more artists put this kind of stuff out!

  117. gigi Says:

Steel who says what she is saying is not what they told her to say? Also as far as her having the blind dates or dates with people that the c-ship set her up on that is just plain bs. Why should she date the people that pops or Larry want her too. She is a grown woman. She should be able to date who ever she wants. I know my parents never like the guys I dated. No matter how young or old I was. They either had hair too long, too short, car too fast, didn’t like their attitude or something. They never would say they liked any of them. For them to set her up is just wrong.

  118. Steel_Magnolia Says:

It’s not T-Day for me today, so I guess I’ll be a roving reporter instead…

So Brit just performed on the Bambi awards, to what had to be the deadest audience that ever existed. When she ended, it looks like she had a look of pure terror on her face…Not realizing that she looks better now than she ever has! Cute outfit, crisp dancing…and some really neat choreography with that giant ball!

Whew! I’m so relieved for her. She did GOOD.

  119. gigi Says:

she did look great and she did wonderful. She will get more comfortable as she goes. It will just take a little bit to get the feel again and understand that she is doing great.

    —–

Loved the performance — Britney looked amazing.

Anyone think she held anything back?

I can’t put my finger on it — her sense of attack, leadership, confrontation, the all out Britney.

I am not dissing her and I realize that some old performances may have had more lip syncing hence more ops to use oxygen to DANCE. Maybe it’s the high heels. POM had high heels and not as much dance.

I’m so proud and happy for her. It takes time to lose self-doubt though. C’mon. It would be extraordinary if she didn’t have any.

  121. Amethyst Mine Says:

What a DEAD audience. Absolutely rigid. But then that is Germany — a sense of decorum, restraint. It also seemed to be an older crowd, i.e., not kids.

I have flown to Germany and the German passengers were absolutely silent, or spoke quietly and kept to themselves. I flew back home back home from Italy — what a difference. The Italians clapped when we landed and that was before 911. It was otherwise a noisy flight in a good way.

  122. Amethyst Mine Says:

I understand the visibility of Bambi but if building Brit’s confidence? I’d of sent her to Ireland, Italy, France, Australia, or to many a country in South America.

    Et vous?

    Oh! Japan!

  123. Amethyst Mine Says:

My guess is is that as she gains more experience with her fan base, live audience, moment to moment thrill as it were or immediate connection with the audience, she will take it! as artists do.

    It is hers afterall.

No offense to MT, but I’m not an “MT follower.” My opinions just happen to jive with his on a lot of things, is all.

Back when I first appeared here, I was used to posting at that other site – with no moderator, threads that lasted a day, and everyone posting under monikers that changed on a daily basis. I had no idea who MT was, and no idea the things he’d been saying.

At one point, on the first thread I’d ever posted on, MT told me I was the “Iron Chef.” And I couldn’t for the life of me figure out WHY. And then one day not long ago I went back and read the thread from the top and realized I was the “Iron Chef” for comments I’d made BEFORE he’d even appeared on the thread! (Fancy that…)

It took me a while to figure JFX out, and how it all worked…I think I really missed out by not being in on the conversations from the start!

The moderator, Juliette I think, was swift, “Tu es bannie,” lol, “..trop de carte de language.”

“you are banished, too strong language” and the poster was gone.

  136. Amethyst Mine Says:

  139. MARK TWAIN Says:

    Amapola

I’m sorry but I dont get to where your going about me and my interest in making money by posting my opinion. If that’s your spin and your angle to attack my integrity is as lame as your call to be a team Adnan/Britney.

Let me put it to you in plain english. And let me be clear on how things will end. Things will end in two ways. The good and the other the bad. I will only state my opinion on the bad because clearly we all know how fairytales end in a good way. This is the nightmare ending.

In the end. The powerful who holds the key will dictate how things are going to end. Unfortunately for you. You have a notion that Daddy Spears is fonf of Adnan Ghalib. Adnan Ghalib to daddy Spears is like a flea on a dog. he could care less. Adnan Ghalib’s destruction is on top of his list.

Unfortunately for Adnan, the more and more Britney calls for him, the more and more daddy Spears can used that against him in the court of law. They have the power to turn Adnan into the boogie man. Adnan in the end will be the fall guy.

they have done a great job on their countrer PR against him specially the sex tape. this is a weapon they use against him with the public. unfortunately for Adnan, he has no outlet to speak. he has no PR team or a spokesperson who can speak on his behalf to defend him.

Daddy Spears is one powerful person because he has put together a great team. And has everyone following his orders. He has used Britneys emotions against her even with the commisioner.

No doubt that Daddy Spears will win it all and Adnan Ghalib will be turned into dirt. But it was not about winning in the end for the likes of people like me in the media. it’s about getting the truth. You want their team to spoon feed you with hwat they want you to believe? Thats you as a normal person waiting in the wing.

It’s not about the money. It’s about the truth Amapola. It’s not about Britney or Adnan or Daddy Spears. It’s about the abuse of the system and abuse of power. The media’s job is to even out that playing field for the people.

Adnan will be the fall guy in the end.

This script have been written from the begining. So please continue to wath the movie as it unfold. I have already seen it. That’s the difference between you and I.

This is why I love the Adnan character in this script.

TMZ certainly haven’t been nice to Adnan, or really to Brit for that matter.

But to be honest, until I came over to JFX, I kind of had the same opinion of Adnan as they did. I just didn’t “get” where he fit into the story, and didn’t care one way or the other about him. But after coming here, and getting a bit more background, I started to see things differently.

So, I can *kinda* understand why a lot of folks don’t like him. The media instantly jumped on the anti-Adnan bandwagon at the start, and never really got off.

But there’s more to the story than meets the eye…

  142. Amethyst Mine Says:

Mark. How does the JFX community impact the outcome?

I wrote Ronnie today, just a little, about an observation of how we are different.

Unlike at other sites, the story line doesn’t change every day.

Let’s stay to what MT said tonight?

  145. Amethyst Mine Says:

Ama, you seem sometimes to stick within a reverie as though papas could never be bad.

Whom do you love more, your Self and your ideal world, Papa Spears, or Adnan whom you profess to know better than any of us, with proof I might add?

Consider that no man is all good or all bad and that it is nuts for a father to be in such an unnatural control of girl-daughter, now.

  146. Steel_Magnolia Says:

AM, my post on the other thread and what MT is saying tonight on this one are the same thing.

I agreed with him…before he even left his post! LOL

  147. Steel_Magnolia Says:

AM, I feel like the media coverage on Adnan and the C-Ship has been kind of like a domino effect. Certain ideas or images were put in place around a year ago (thanks to various sources), then each story after that has fallen in line with the one before. There’s been no fresh source of info, and very little questioning about what all took place and why things were the way they were.

It’s only now that the real media (e.g. Rolling Stone) is starting to ask questions and raise eyebrows. But that’s good. At least it’s being done.

  148. Amethyst Mine Says:

correction: with NO proof I might add.

  149. Amethyst Mine Says:

Yes but Steel or Siskel, the media coverage is but an aspect of Mark’s message.

MT. Adnan was in view. Actually Britney and Adnan were in view at the gates under their own control it seems until Larry was back — the album and album talk were in place. Then…

So who or what I wonder kept Adnan in the picture in the beginning? Doctors? Media? Papa not looking like a hardass? I haven’t figured it out yet.

  150. Amethyst Mine Says:

A single available girl sells best. Or a single available girl dating a hottie but that has not happened at all. I thought people in Hollywood could state, “I want to meet…” and it happened. Cruise said as much.

I know I am naive but this dating thing with men who could hardly be of interest to Britney is meanwhile, WEIRD. She had to order her dessert first? To get away?

  151. Amethyst Mine Says:

Steel. Britney is the only source of fresh information.

    I digress again.

  155. Amethyst Mine Says:

  159. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I’m not familiar with rosaries, so I don’t know whether they work, either. :)

  160. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I took the Rosary to be a bit of a dig at Madonna and her Kabbalah (since the story came out on the same day.) But who knows.

    Is her family Roman Catholic?

  161. Amethyst Mine Says:

No. The family is not Roman Catholic but Lynne was sent to Catholic school.

A story came out the same day?

I familiar familiar with rosaries though I didn’t go to a Catholic school: my family didn’t afford it.

Here’s shorthand on the rosary and it’s long, long while.

One does not wear it around one’s neck. That’s a Madonna move.

Every single bead is a prayer. A rosary is often said at funerals, meaning bead by bead we move through prayers so as to say a rosary for a funeral.

I have long forgot (look at the photo) of the metallic segment of the rosary. I think Mary is one one side but we say an Our Father? No not right. Been years.

If the beads had been bigger a long rosary would have not drawn quite as much attention. I think only NUNS can wear a rosary around the neck with respect, “to our father.”

  162. Amethyst Mine Says:

I contradicted myself Steel, but it has been so long.

I would never wear one around my neck but a nun doing so is not odd, outside of pictures.

I never knew a nun to wear a rosary in such a way. I think I have seen the image like.. in missionary photos or … I don’t know if even Mother Theresa wore a rosary that way.

Do you think there is something in this? I do because for me it would be sacrilege to wear a rosary in such a way. But on a nun…

  163. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Also. MT mentioned it.

um… it’s not anything Jamie would notice. Lynne would have. Wonder.

  164. Amethyst Mine Says:

Steel. The number of beads at the top seem more numerous.

Otherwise the base and the center seem the same way.

    Sorry. I’ve fallen away.

At one point Adnan had a rosary hanging from his mirror in his car if I remember right. On one of the Q & A here someone ask about it and he said it belonged to a friend I think.

  167. gigi Says:

I think Adnan was allowed to stay around until Larry came back and he is the one that said he had to go. I think they all know that if they let the restraints lack she will let him back in if they are still talking. The control might come back to bite them at some point.

Be safe Adnan. And better too :)

  182. gigi Says:

If we make a big deal out of the rosary pops and Larry might take it away from her like the ring and phone.

  183. gigi Says:

wow She did awesome. The only think I see wrong with that one is the mic they have on her. If it really doesnt work then take it away. The anouncers should not have to put a mic up to her face when she is talking to them if she has that wireless mic on to sing with. Even is she is just using it for a prop during the performance turn it on so she can talk afterwards.

  184. gigi Says:

I liked that outfit better than the red one. The red one would have been great but it seemed not to stay up and she spent time pulling the top up. This time she did not have to do that. I also like that she lost the hat.

  185. Amethyst Mine Says:

I liked that red dress and I didn’t notice her tugging at it while dressing. Also I am a big fan of using my dress to dance with which she did.

I don’t understand the mic… do they turn it off so it’s more controlled?

“Hi, everybody help! I want my ring back. I want to dine out with Adnan. Alone.” just kidding…kinda.

  186. gigi Says:

i liked the red dress except for the pulling it back up. It seemed maybe she missed a couple dance steps having to do that. Todays performance have more hair flicks and more dance movement.

No cream cheese, sour cream, b.s. and sitting in a crockpot for hours. blech.

  201. Amethyst Mine Says:

Ian Halperin has become the lowest of the low.

  203. gigi Says:

whats Ian done now? Nothing will surpise me anymore with him?

  204. Amethyst Mine Says:

As you know he has not been promoting his book. I wonder why.

Meanwhile this Thanksgiving and during Brit’s debut he ran two nasty stories. In one he doesn’t list a name or source but makes nasty allegations claiming they come from a “producer.”

You can go see for yourself but it’s a waste of time. He turned nastee.

The two nastee stories were back to back. The last story he wrote specific to Brit was that she liked Jewish men.

There wasn’t anything mean in that so why this change and during Thanksgiving. The nerve!

  205. gigi Says:

As she climbs back to the top people are going to be trying to take her down. The haters are going to do everything in their power to make her fail. She looks and sounds amazing. I just wish they would do something with the mic that doesnt seem to be working during interviews.

  206. Amethyst Mine Says:

True GG. I was just surprised to see Ian go that root. Ian, who professed a sympathetic account to Britney.

  207. gigi Says:

People will write junk just to get the hits on their sites. See I never would have gone there had I not been looking for something. He scored another hit from me. Oh well. As she gets better and better more and more people will try to tear her down. I think pops needs to let up some but then again if he does how many people will really try to make her fail. She is right. She can not do what others can do. Take the boys to the park or walk down the street. Photogs would go nuts but they let others do that very thing. Seems there is a double standard. I know some would back up and let her but others might not.

  208. Amethyst Mine Says:

They used to let her move more G. The old crew either had a little more respect or like or whatever, and the new crew is avaricious. They don’t know her. It’s sort of mob mentality. She’s quarry which seems different than being fair game.

What a group we are between our Hoyalties, roots, and such.

Maybe MT, Ronnie or Uli may tell us. In the old day with fewer crowds of paps, the paps could get a better shot while still letting the star physical room? And now it’s any shot?

No. I can’t forget the night she was alone and they truly had her. “Please. Somebody give me their hand.”

btb, it seems convenient and to the story line how all this 5150 shyt is fed now.

Fact. “When Sam was in her life.” 1-2-3-4-5. 5 words. Is it so much? Which is the better story? Bi-polar or someone creepy in her life gas lighting, drugging, parading, distorting, controlling? Bi-polar is global. Svengali less ….

Hi! Yes the buzz before X-Factor was HUGE in England!! All newspapers/magazines all reminding us to watch, TV had constant reminders. She really has become super iconic and I think here in England because of Brits troubles she has become ‘human’ and people seem protective and root for her and really want her to succeed. I think she must have been pretty terrified and I also think over here in England we wouldnt have cared if she fell over, forgot words or ran off stage crying!! We were just pleased she was there!! Having said that, she seemed more relaxed than the other performances, did an excellent shimmy towards the middle and looked happy! I prefered the red dress though! But hey!!

  214. Steel_Magnolia Says:

And there’s just nothing better than an excellent shimmy! ;)

I agree with nosey – this time around, she could’ve fallen on her derriere and I wouldn’t have minded. This was probably something she needed to do for her self as a person to re-build her confidence. And it looks to be working – she’s getting more and more relaxed with every performance.

…And she looks damn good doing it, too! If only we could all look that good in a pair of hotpants. :)

There ARE more effective ways of dealing with abuse. ‘No publicity’ does not equate with ’silence’.
Amapola, you would appear to have a greater understanding of Adnan than do many who post here.
In addition, MH, one’s personal hospital records are not available to a ‘general enquirer.’ In this instance particularly (and to the highest degree) are unlikely to be so.

Amethyst mine. Oh my dear lady, your statement, “we are not, as a mainstream culture, a turn the other cheek society” is possibly a definitive ‘American’s statement.’

Most certainly, the USA is a country in which the majority do not have the data available in order to know which cheek ‘not to turn’.
It is fact and a very sad fact that, in America, “mainstream culture” is oppressed, dictated to, lied to by government and media, and poorly educated as to the realities that exist elsewhere in the world.

The majority are poorly educated in general, are brainwashed into the belief that “The American way” is the ‘right and only way,’ and are isolated from most world opinion and events unless they affirm those of the USA.

I have worked, travelled and researched (not just within mine own area) in 46 states of The USA, and over a number of years. I have also worked and travelled in 41 countries (to date).

With that in mind,I have to say that the only other country more isolated and distanced to the changes, opinions and realities that the rest of the world must deal with is North Korea.

As Madonna said recently, “I don’t know what our government does except put us into debt and blow up other countries.”
Confrontation, in the main, is not a functional approach in dealing with most problems.

    So….

I have no idea why you posted all of those old posts just now. The first should have been enough to clarify and make a point. What kind of a case were you trying to make? I’m too dumb to know so please explain.

You look kind of crazy yourself, Ama. Today has been an especially fine demonstration.

It’s rude to name call btw and am I wrong that the only fights we have had here in the past few months were begun by you??

  229. Amethyst Mine Says:

I should clarify the “we” in that sentence. I certainly did not mean “we” as only to include you and I.

Steel. Good article. By any chance are you tracking the media versus people who were actually at the G-A-Y club?

I was grateful to BH fans today for what they were able to tell others about the truth versus media distortion.

  232. Steel_Magnolia Says:

My favourite part of that article:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

“Spears takes topics ranging from her failed romances with Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline (`I never really faced it, and I just ran,’ she says of divorcing him) to why she let `bad people’ into her life. Her excuse: `Because I was lonely.’”

Her “excuse”? How about her “explanation”?

“Excuse” implies that People doesn’t have much faith in anything Spears says and wants you, the reader, to know that. The word “excuse” says: “Take the following with a grain of salt.”

Perhaps writers and editors at People have what they define as “perfect” lives and those “perfect” lives cannot countenance loneliness as increasing the risk of bad judgment in regard to character.

Perhaps we’re all a little too eager to declare ourselves “sane.”

  233. Amapola Says:

AM, do you not remember that you many times have let me know those words about ´understand Adnan´?

Now MH also start comming back to that.

Dont you think I get very tired, angry, frustrated, that those words have done such impact on this site, that I have to comment about them again and again? Since april !!!!!

    You wrote this comment
“” Whom do you love more, your Self and your ideal world, Papa Spears, or Adnan whom you profess to know better than any of us, with proof I might add?”
    ””””””””””’

I’m actually noticing a lot of misunderstandings between those of us who speak English, so the problem may not be so much in the different languages as it is the lack of face to face contact.

It’s hard to know what someone means sometimes without being able to watch their body language and hear the tone of their voice.

  240. Amethyst Mine Says:

I think the word you are looking for is sarcasm, Ama.

And no I never pretended to be all sweet here but I’ve grown as a poster or member of this community.

Things that used to phase me just don’t anymore. I welcome now visits from the likes of a YoyoBrit. In the past I would have taken the bait set by a hater.

I don’t ocassional sarcasm to vent a feeling on your point of view, is better than name calling or continued rudeness. I about fell from my swivel chair the day I saw you thank someone for a link — and I think another day you actually said, good morning or hello to everyone.

It was stunning. It was after another explosion and no one really talked to you for a few day while I meanwhile discovered IM and Myspace.

You still have not explained your method in posting all of those old posts — For example, what does Doc have to do whether you did or didn’t say you knew Adnan better than us?

Update on Doc btw. He has a new gig. I am sooo proud of him. I’m sure we will see him soon but that is where he has been. I was worried. :) Without employ is never cool.

Did Doc and I butt heads in the past? Sure we did but now we talk offline sometimes. I really like him and understand his unique brand of cutting humor and sarcasm. I did not in the beginning and I thought he was a bad guy. He and I worked it out right here online on JFX. No problem since.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I had to look up the word “insolent” to know what Ama meant, and I think she may have got it right:

1 : insultingly contemptuous in speech or conduct : overbearing

    Also…

AM, it sounds like what you’re saying is that you don’t like Ama’s use of sarcasm when she doesn’t agree with something you say.

On the other hand, Ama, it sounds like you’re saying that you “feel like you know Adnan better than some of us” because you’ve shared a similar experience with him that the rest of us have not.

Did I understand that right? I hope so. It seems like the two of you are talking about two different things!

  243. gigi Says:

everything was so nice then I come back and the snipping started again. Come on Ama be nice. We were talking about the performances that Brit has had in the last few days – not something that was said months and months ago.

  244. Amethyst Mine Says:

Actually. MH and I had a disagreement not that long ago but I wouldn’t categorize it as a fight.

We worked it out offline. I am sure we will have disagreements in the future but not without the benefit of the doubt and time to explain next time.

That would be uncool. And I don’t wish to give the impression that I am constantly in communication with anyone here but GG. She is coming to Phoenix. We both have bottles of Tapatio. We both understand baseball. She is socially outgoing and a myspace guru.

I don’t think she and I have ever fought about anything. Same with KLM but that’s KLM not me. If anyone is an angel in the community it’s her.

  245. gigi Says:

Steel. Sorry catching up but wanted to say, I am glad J provides the most uptodate sites for Britney info but it’s the posters who do alot of the work.

How can any normal society allows this to happend?
And let this be done to a mother of two young kids?

Her choice of work have nothing to do with this.

Its evil, nothing else but evil, what is done to her (and her kids, because they wiol get harmed by this)

  258. Amethyst Mine Says:

ohmy. Don’t bother going back Ama. Remember I vacuumed those carpets for a reason.

Yes. I thought Doc was Sam. He was soooo smart, charming yet manipulative. One day he tossed Rehema around like a mouse.

I came in with the baggage of having known someone similar. Charming, convincing, manipulative.

Doc did try to say that I didn’t understand his sense of humor nor the relationships already formed in the room so to speak. So yeh, I am right proud of how that all turned around but it took Doc and I to do it.

lol. MH was a help to me back in those days when I was so riled. I listened to her if/when she told me to shut up. I didn’t distrust her. I went with her judgment.

Now you would think I’d been offended but not in her case. I had respect for her early on. She was never snarky nor did she seem to bait anyone and she always had (and has!) the best links.

I just decided not to give a care anymore when I realized that the person who was leading the witch hunt against you was guilty of several of the above herself.

Watching Britney through live stream (except for Germany) I read comments in French and then in English in England and by golly, the comments were the same? Fat. Over the hill. Past her prime.

I thought of the culprits on the French station but some seem genuinely French in their abbreviations or lingo.

England was interesting in the same way — same battle, different folk. I read about “miming” Nosey instead of lip syncing. Now Ama reports from her country.

What is this strange polarized battle over someone we can either never be, or never hope to be.

  269. Steel_Magnolia Says:

    From the article:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Jenny Eliscu, the writer of Britney’s recent Rolling Stone article, has seen the other side many fans and followers have not, agreeing that this conservatorship has gone too far.

    quote:

    —————————–

“I had started to feel uncomfortable with all the restrictions, like submitting my questions for approval and not being left alone with her,” Eliscu said in her new interview. “And whenever I asked who was making these rules, I was told it had to do with the conservatorship. Like most people I didn’t know much about conservatorships or how they’re supposed to work… I had done some preliminary research into it, but I was not yet aware how hard Britney had tried to fight it initially and why. As my research progressed, it started to become clear to me that this might not be something that should still be in place. Because it is designed, ideally, to protect people who are seriously ill. We’re talking about people who are non compus mentis, according to the lawyers I consulted. Or they’re in a vegetative state. Or they’re just so old that they can’t take care of themselves anymore. But Britney? It was making less and less sense as time went on.

It wasn’t until after my last meeting with her that I realized how far beyond the scope of my interview this level of control extended into all facets of her life… In hindsight, I did have a new understanding of the quote of hers at the end of the story, which is the last thing she said to me, in the context of being interviewed. She was describing this song she wrote about artistic expression and masquerade – pretending to be other people and putting on shows. And she says, “Through this you create your world.” The song is about a girl who likes to live in a world of make-believe, and she’s got all these people trying to come into her world that she didn’t invite in. It’s pretty telling. When you think about it, Britney Spears is an artist – a pop artist, in the truest sense – and sometimes artists do crazy things. I’m not sure why Britney isn’t allowed to act out in the ways that we normally consider acceptable from artists. And we’re guilty too because we created this Britney Spears character and we won’t let her change.”

    ————————–

Eliscu continues to describe the conservatorship as detrimental, claiming it is a serious issue that continues to severely stress Britney emotionally.

“It’s a problem for her now,” Eliscu states. “And the commissioner recently granted their request to make it permanent. If something doesn’t change – if somebody doesn’t contest it – it would theoretically remain in effect until her father dies. So far, Britney has failed in her attempts to hire her own lawyer.”

  270. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Sorry, that was longer than I thought it would be!

  271. Amethyst Mine Says:

Also that greedy ex dancer and former hip hop singer Kevin Federline, the father of the year 2008.
And the co-vocers, the media industry.

How can any young women, an artist, without any skills or interest in money businesses (think opposite Madonna here) in this times of finacial turbulance, trust anyone from “outside” to look for the best for her and her kids future?

As I have said before to you, dont you think there is a masterplan, it work slowly, because of all circumstances, but it work with Britney on the most important goal – the kids?

They cant risk that Britney say or do any trifle, who the “so nice” gossip sites TURN around to something very BAD.
And then peopel belive it, and God help US, it seems like the court also does..

Everything have to work like a cog-wheel, no interstice within. No suprise. Its a very very important mission.

Sad that the temeratur in US are so bad that Adnan dont can go over for a dinner togheter with her and her family.
A gentleman, and a man with his words, thats not to say no to. He is as good as them.

They learn to know each other, and Britney and him have a chance to talk and contemplate all the arduousness they have to face from people of all kinds.
Also, the kids have to learn to know him. As Kevin Federlines girls (or is Shar the ONE?) for sure meet the kids.

I wish we had more information. I’m reading the comments over at BH right now, and they’re all over the board. And VERY heated.

I’d like to hear what Britney herself has to say. It does seem like she’s the only one providing tiny little drops of new information.

    Finances…

As far as finances are concerned, Brit doesn’t need to be under a C-Ship to have her father take care of this. He can do it with or without the C-Ship.

    Kids…

It really is messed up that pap videos and gossip rags were used as part of the custody case. How did THAT happen?!

    Control…

It sounds like there’s WAY too much control over her personal life. It’s as if she’s living in a bubble, isolated.

I don’t know…I’m wondering what tonight’s documentary is going to say.

Sad that the temeratur in US are so bad that Adnan dont can go over for a dinner togheter with her and her family.

A gentleman, and a man with his words, thats not to say no to. He is as good as them.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I never got the opinion that it was the US public that didn’t want this. I always got the opinion that it was Jamie himself that didn’t want this. (But maybe that’s because he thinks her fans wouldn’t want this.)

    Her fans…

It’s amazes me how much they think they OWN her. What other celebrity is treated by their fans in such a way??

I mean, really, if someone doesn’t buy her album just because they don’t like the person she’s dating…Shouldn’t she be HAPPY that she just got rid of an ignorant person as a fan?!

Lee is a very nice sweet spot. Lee is a whole new world of a story. A very interesting one. Thats one can of worm the conservtorship dont want opened. You find Lee, you’ll find some answer. Now as far as the people he worked for and the conservatorship, ‘Good luck’ on finding him and getting him to talk. That kid is ‘Scared Shitless’ as they say on the streets. Wonder why?

And how come they don’t have done that already, if that are such a sweet reward in the story? Don’t you find that strange?

  291. Amethyst Mine Says:

Steel. Agreed. Very heated at BH but they consider so little that they (the majority) remind me of the haters themselves tonight. They are just a contrast.

MT, why would Lee make for a sweet story? A little more please? Got a last name? He was sweet. Britney seemed comfortable, like he was a ready-made companion. hmmm

  292. Amethyst Mine Says:

Did he for example, momentarily placate her sense of loneliness and old age? I looked at the photos back when and that’s what I thought, sans the old age. He just seemed to bring a degree of normalcy that Brett couldn’t. He shared the experience.

    Looking from the outside…

  293. Amethyst Mine Says:

And no MT I have not forgotten about what you once called “space junk” — I think those were the words you used.

  294. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I was told once that the best way to get good footage is to make sure that the action taking place in front of your camera is much more exciting than you are.

There are times when I’ve quit filming my subject because I knew that if I had continued filming, I’d feel compelled to use the footage. And I liked my subject more than I liked my upcoming film. So I pushed “stop.”

Ummm…That might be the sign of a BAD filmmaker! LOL

  295. Steel_Magnolia Says:

What I’m trying to say is…

Lee has probably seen a lot. And filmed a lot.

Maybe what he was filming wasn’t sitting well with those funding the doc.

  296. Amethyst Mine Says:

Steel, if I understand you. I suspect Lee is not the first or the last to succumb to Britney’s charms, damsel in distress, or caring about her or whatever. Something like that. You know what I mean? You’re told one thing maybe but you see another. You care.

I have known his last name, and his brothers name, and that Lee (Lee is his second name or a “new” name) also have work as a dancer (?) or at lest in some production on Brodway(?) or something like that. Not in a leading part. Think it have to be in some musical.

I have also before a pic of a drawing of Lee, before what I must belive is some operation on his ears and nose.
Or if that was his brother?

I have looked after them, have not saved up the information on cd:s either.

I think in some time I found there was so much “bad talk ” towards Britneys family and staff, so I did not want to share anything who someone could try to do her life harder.
I did not see anything wrong with Lee.
He have taking videos and pics of the papz for 6 months or more.

A good doc camera operator KNOWS his story, inside out. He fades into the background and lets the subject become comfortable, until the point that the subject forgets he’s there.

He follows the action, no matter WHERE it may be.

  303. Amapola Says:

    Steel_
I think Lees job was to have his eyes on a speical part of Britneys daily life. Not the “whole” documentarie..just that one part as I talk about before, and her reaction on that. I dont know if she was sitting infron of a camera and told her story, by herself, with no one asking. Just let her mind talk, remember, taking it easy?
Or do you think that Lee hold the camera the whole time?

One thing I sure Britney can handle is a camera. Lights, angles, background, sounds.

Or a photografer working in the way you say you work, …. there, but “not”

  304. Amethyst Mine Says:

I just watched the short “Glamour Magazine Shoot” video that was posted on BH, and man, she sure does know how to “turn on” when the camera is on her. It’s as if there’s a switch she flips that lights up her face.

As far as the film, I think we’ll have to watch to see the style of doc it is. Some docs are all interviews, while others are more “reality TV” style, in which the camera just follows the action.

P.S. I saw a bit of that Lee Atwater doc. It just happened to be on TV while I was flipping by, and I caught the last 10 minutes. Now I want to see the whole thing!

You are still in denial regarding how much of a lock down they have with this conservatorship. When you are finally willing to admit how much control they have then you can finally answer your own questions instead of asking me why this and why that. You are still trying to find evil in me or atleast an interior motive.

Because of the rolling stones interview. Now people can start asking questions.

I’m starting to see your game now Amapola. I’m only anwsering to keep everyone from being confused by you.

Lee is a subject of interest because he was fired. Something he knows or something was done. he knows many secrets. it’s the reason why he’s interesting. That is all. No conspiracy here or there Amapola. I guess he would be a so called witness if that makes any sense to you. but like I said, the conservators and his former superiors will make sure he’s living in a cave somewhere so no one can speak with him. Now thats power and total control.

Sick, disabled, old age or handicap. How about multi hundred million dollars. These should be listed on why the conservatorship is needed.

Much ‘Respect’ to Jenny Eliscu for speaking out. Now please continue. Britney needs all the exposure of the media not because of the tour or her come back but for her health reasons regarding the conservatorship. It has taken a serious toll on her being in a prison like state. And they use that against her. that the ironic part.

PEOPLE PLEASE WAKE THE FUCK UP!

  317. Steel_Magnolia Says:

So I just finished watching “For The Record.”

    Some initial, random thoughts…

    - Hats off to Larry Rudolph for putting this project into motion. It was unlike anything I expected.
    - Honest and true.
    - Why did the editor always cut away from her at the best part?!
    - How much do I love Andre, her choreographer? He seems so down-to-earth. Like a rock.
    - I was surprised that they only included footage from the VMA’s onwards. They were filming MUCH before this.
    - What is WRONG with her? REALLY? She seems completely normal to me, apart from some pretty serious depression.
    - This totally humanized her, in my eyes. It was almost a relief to watch, after follow this all through the eyes of a pap lens for so many months.
    - Jamie has some pretty big muscles. I wouldn’t want to run into him in a back alley!
    - There were a number of scenes that I’m surprised they kept in, but were glad they did. The exchange between her and Jamie where he says, “Kids!” was a good one. Her honest answers were great, too.
    - Madonna needs to lay off the Botox, STAT. She’s starting to look like the Bride of Frankenstein.
    - Brit does seem quite fragile. In a very normal, human kind of way.

Geez, I’m impressed. That was pretty good.

  318. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I need to watch that again…but…

    - her Dad and handlers appear to baby her and treat her like a young child (in a way), as if they’re constantly trying to keep her entertained. But the professionals around her (e.g. directors, photographers, choreographers, etc.) tend to talk to her like an adult. And responds to them in kind.

Maybe this is the way all families are…Was I the only one to find this strange? Maybe I’m searching…

I hope she, with help of all people around, on the streets, in shops, outdoors, yes everywhere, can move like a free person with her kids.

My parents do that, too! Well, my Mom calls me by the name that my sister used to call me when she was a baby. (I wish I could type it here…It’s pretty funny!)

But that’s not quite what I meant. Hmmm. I don’t know how to describe it. I need to find the right words…

It’s as if they talk to her as if she’s a kid. As if she has the mind and maturity of a kid. So when she replies back to them, she replies back as a child would.

But when professionals address her, her tone and attitude changes. She becomes more mature and assertive. Professional.

I guess what I’m getting at is that the C-Ship appears (in at least some way) to be based on her “fragility,” but that so-called fragility appears to melt away when she’s treated like the adult that she actually is.

Does that make sense? I may still need to find the right words.

After watching that doc, I actually think she’s MUCH stronger and put-together than I thought she was.

Anyone who walks away from that film saying that she’s “insane” or “sick” needs to have THEIR head examined.

I can’t get over how much of a stigma there is towards even the slightest so-called “mental illness,” like depression. Whenever anyone else gets physically sick, e.g. with cancer, or even a stubbed toe, everyone rallies around them and tries to help them get better. But if anyone (especially a woman) shows signs of depression, it’s as if society lunges on them like a mob, pointing fingers and shaking their heads. It’s just bizarre.

    What’s wrong with us?!

  336. Steel_Magnolia Says:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Okay, MT, just to play Devil’s Advocate here…

Why should the public care about Adnan? Because Brit is reaching out to him and wants him to be in her life? Or because he’s just being used as the fall guy? (E.g. Whenever anything goes wrong for Brit from here on in, Adnan’s name will somehow be used and Brit’s problems will be blamed on him?)

Isn’t Adnan in kind of the same position as Sam in that regard? (Okay, I *know* that they’re not the same, but in the eyes of the general public they’re the same.)

My two cents on this one…Brit needs to come out in Adnan’s defense herself. (Which, I know, will make it worse for him behind the scenes.)

But until SHE vouches for him, who’s going to believe it?

  338. Amapola Says:

Yeah, when the right time comes, and they have “talk” with each other on an contingent future together, then she have to, and I´m sure she would, vouches up for him.

But as we know, she must have her kids before. I dont trust her former husband, he make money on this :(

I do hope K F co-operate so they all, even himself, can have calm, a creative work (he must start fo work with something!) and a happy future.

In our country we have laws against cultural “paint” violences against women.
If parents going against their choce of husband, because the parents dont like the choice for those reasons.
It would be counted as violence against the free will.
I hope they don’t keep Britney in c-ship because any of those reasons, it would be a shame for US. 8O

(I have hard to belive it can be so, to terrible to even think, a shame..)

  339. Amethyst Mine Says:

Steel. Remember the brief chat room we had online? I got to be there briefly with Ronnie and I asked him if her life was like The Last Emperor.

His affirmative answer unsettled me. Two paps’ words. That was months ago.

And then that third voice the other day saying that Papa is a total d**k.

That seems to be the pap’s perspective. I do weigh their income versus their point of view but …I for one have been listening.

  340. Amethyst Mine Says:

Nosey. I am glad you found us. An Australian poster on BH said it was on the local news (I think, if I understood…) that Brit bombed in London while they meanwhile showed her performance at the Bambi awards… instead of the X-Factor.

Otherwise the news has been she never showed up at G-A-Y and so on.

We are a handful of people but a pack. Unfortunately there are those who think us crazy for even being here or having an interest in a 27 year old girl. They just don’t get it. It has been mine to pay for but we’ll see what happens in the end.

At least Mark is not as lonely as he might have been without us.

  341. Steel_Magnolia Says:

MT, Whether Brit and Adnan continue to be “just friends” or “more than friends,” her parents are always going to be there. They’re never going away. So it’s a problem that’s going to continue whether the C-Ship is there or not.

    However…

That being said, perhaps it’s time to start beating Pa at his own game. And what I mean by that is…While the story with the C-Ship and custody plays out, there’s going to be some time go by. Time that could be taken advantage of.

Think of Lou’s job. Now think, if Lou were working for our “friend,” what she would tell him.

Think “Branding Strategies.” What was the first thing that Brit did once the C-Ship was put in place? She volunteered teaching kids dance lessons. She auctioned off an autographed painting for charity. She appeared at a charity polo match.

Now what does our friend have to offer? He appears to be good at working a camera and video equipment (and knows how to kick a soccor ball?). He probably has some nice photos in his collection. So how could any of that be put to good use?

Just some thoughts. Take it with a grain of salt. I’m just thinking aloud. ;)

  342. MARK TWAIN Says:

    SM

My two cents on this one…Brit needs to come out in Adnan’s defense herself. (Which, I know, will make it worse for him behind the scenes.)
But until SHE vouches for him, who’s going to believe it?

What did you say about how much was cut? Practically half the doc………..

Never forget how much control they have.. Never.

(I have a “feeling” that dad Spears do want to end this c-ship, don’t know why, but I do believe that, and that make me of course “crazy” in your eyes ;) ? )

But back to Adnan doing things..

Britney shall have her kids in harbor, then, THEN, Britney and Adnan (?) themselves can decide what to do.

She know she can trust him, why should he destroy that?

    I don’t know if I misunderstand you?

  345. MARK TWAIN Says:

Adnan is no celebrity, only by association. His images have been created by the haters. The same haters that controls and will put their own spin when given a chance. I’m not sure if you guys are understanding the full spectrum of things. Specially how image works in Hollywood. His image was never given a positive spin in the first place. Now dig yourself out of that with Lou and Jamie breathing down your neck. A few lawyers in the mix then you officially have a watch dog threatning your every move.

You guys dont think that these c*cksuckers have not sent their goone squad to intimidate him. You guys are way out of this league. This is bigger than what you can comprehend.

  346. Amapola Says:

Oh, MT, you mean Rolling Stone :)

Well I think that was a very confusing statement of that journalist.
She had “not think of”, “not notice” anything special about Britney?
She had not think about it..she said that more than once.
Later, after, she think on it and ask herself questions, about the procedure (!), but the most important, the way the one who she shall intervju she not noticested more than a “let it be over” attitude”
I understand that Britney get bored, if it was such a directed procedure.. and the journalist have her interest on that.

    Was that statment a joke?
Did they want to see the documentary before they decided what to “think”?

  347. Amapola Says:

  348. MH Says:

    Hi MT,

You obviously have strong feelings about this. And your frustration is obvious as well. You say you hope people/investigative journalists get involved. Well, why not get them involved yourself? You’re obviously holding back on details. Why not let them out? Call a reporter or speak more details here or wherever else? You want posters to figure things out without all the details you have. What keeps you from exposing all? It can be done anonymously.

  349. MARK TWAIN Says:

Again I apolgize to you Amapola but I am not playing this game with you. Chasing the dogs tail is something you’re going to have to deal with on your own. Keep going in circle, I’m not here to straighten you out. Your opinion is like of a race horse with blinders. It knows to stay on track going in circles like a dog chasing it’s tail. Or do you work for these people, LOL!!!!

You got stuck at the begining and bought everything that they sold to you.

I would really appreciate it if you just ignore me, lol!!! I dont want to be baited in your world.

Replying to Amethyst, the backlash over here in England is horrible! I CANT believe how the press turns so quick! I feel ASHAMED right now to be British! Hopefully the tide may turn again in her favour after the Britney programme playing tonight (I cant watch it as I dont have Sky!!) But I have read the replies on Perez connected to her documentary and the majority are now positive and protective towards her. I just hope they can turn positive over here, unfortunatly people seem to relish in suffering in England, shamefully.

    What do you mean?
Of cource Adnan will stay away, he knows better then do harm to Britney´s “case” right know.
People are so cruel, so unbelievable cruel.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Oh dear! That’s not what I meant at ALL.

I meant that maybe Adnan should volunteer and coach a boys soccor team! Or volunteer at a soup kitchen. Or teach underpriviledged kids how to make their own little movies. Or auction off some of his favourite photos for charity.

It’s true, Adnan is a celebrity by association. But in Hollywood (or North America even), image is everything. It doesn’t just apply to celebrities – it applies to governments, big business, the works.

Here’s a little example of what I mean:

    http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2008/08/27/f-crisisresponse.html

Sorry, it’s a boring article, but it just shows how much a little good PR can make the difference in the eyes of the “public.”

And, yes, it’s true that he shouldn’t have to do this. But it certainly wouldn’t hurt him…And actually might slowly get more and more people rooting for the underdog.

No, it’s not so hard to understand. I know very well how footage can be manipulated to show a certain point of view. (Heck, I’m doing it as I type this to you! LOL)

I GET what you’re saying. Believe me, I do. (In fact, I think I got it before I ever exchanged a word with you, if that makes any sense…I even think I might have got it before Adnan ever appeared on the scene.)

I was one my way to return to give a comment to your comment “MARK TWAIN Says:

About your name calling Britneys family members, (or who do you mean?)

I don’t think Britney would like anyone to name calling her dad, or anyone else in her family.
If they have a quarrel, she for sure do it for her own.

Family work that way, we dont like “outside” people to give dirty names on our childs, parents or family.

So, if I not felt certain before, I´m now, you cant be a friend to Adnan.

At least you dont know anything about what he think, or any of his opinons.

You make it very bad for him. I think you don’t act like a friend should do.
As for your opinon of my way of made my opinions, well, your free to do tell.

One question. Do you mean that you forbid me to have opinons on what you write here?

Well, you should know better then me, maybe its a cultural thing..
What I have seen as fare, I dont trust what would happend.
Look what his (Adnans) so-called “brothers” did to him before.
You think they would act decent this time?

  355. MARK TWAIN Says:

    MH

    Easier said my friend.

You think after that interview with RS that it would generate somekind of interest. You can say it’s alot easier to write about a tragedy when it has happened. Preventing it is a task on it’s own. Lots of red tapes. Those types of investigative reporters are long gone. Now a days you get the horde who follows what everyone else follows. The kind you see on the tele when it’s a feeding frenzy.

Look at the John Edwards story that the Enquirer broke. It took the mainstream media almost a full year before they started questioning it. People will say, ‘yeah it’s the Enquirer’ or ‘who reads that stuff’ or John himself poking fun of a paper you read while waiting to pay for your groceries…. Not until a photo surfaced of John Edwards in a hotel is when everyone jumped the ban wagon. The world have become more fascinated with image as evidence more than any thing. That’s the reason we have jobs. Instant gratification. If there are photos, it must be true.

But the fact that it left many clues and laid the ground works for someone to pay attention to it is another game.

It’s now the media’s job to make sure that there’s balance in her conservatorship. The Rolling Stone interview clearly states that she has no voice. And I’m sure it was very difficult for the reporter to notice and continue.

Then you have people like Amapola who thinks that theres something wrong with Rolling Stones. That clearly shows that there are two types of people looking from the outside in.

  356. Amapola Says:

    Rolling Stone?

I talked about the journalist´s telling.
Have not read any intervju yet, only a pre-statement. Or shall it not be more?

  357. Steel_Magnolia Says:

    MARK TWAIN Says:

Look at the John Edwards story that the Enquirer broke. It took the mainstream media almost a full year before they started questioning it.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I don’t mean to sound like I’m taking a dig at Americans when I say the following, so I hope this isn’t construed as such. But…

In general, the mainstream American media appears to be MUCH different than that of other countries. From what I’ve noticed, it tends to be much more “glossy” or celebrity-conscious than elsewhere. For instance, I’ve actually found the BBC and the CBC to have some of the best investigative reporting around. It’s a lot “dryer” to watch, but there’s a whole different standard over what is considered newsworthy.

It might be worth a shot to get some investigative journalists from other countries involved. Journalists from OUTSIDE the US, who might have a different perspective and might not be so influenced by the celebrity status of the case.

  358. Steel_Magnolia Says:

    Um, that’s “drier,” not “dryer.”

    Rats.

  359. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Again, I hope that didn’t come out wrong!

I’m just trying to say that there are different cultures in different countries, and that reporters from outside the US may have a much different take on all of this. Which might be a good thing.

  360. MARK TWAIN Says:

It’s true on what you say. But you have to separate the celebrity news with real news.

John Edwards became a celebrity once he made himself a public figure. That’s when Enquirer went to work. This is a man who was running for the the highest office in the land.

Why do you think the mainstream media here in the US is not interested in Britney. Only when an entertainment outlet breaks it then they swing.

So don’t mix them together. Thats like water and oil.

  361. KLM Says:

takes off sunglasses, gets glass of sweet tea … I’m ready to catch up.

Did everyone enjoy seeing Felipe’s face throughout the photogs?

    Happy Monday everyone!

  362. Amethyst Mine Says:

    MH,

I asked that question back in May or so. Remember I was saying this is an investigative reporter’s dream?

I’ve been thinking alot about the P-card, how much they know, how little of their voice is allowed into the press. The paps provide the pictures but mags, newspapers (is there such a thing? I think that “news” comes from tabloid suppliers or services)provide the story.

I tagged a comment to that last RS link to this thread. Will it do a damn bit of good? Will some reporter sniff it?

Then there are people like little ‘ole me. Who am I? One insecure beech. But I’ve got a fighting spirit,… I was driving down the freeway today thinking about another pap we know. Why couldn’t I call him just to say hey, could you tell me what you’re hearing on the street?

I would just add it to my story is all. My reality is I am spending time on revision. I am SeaBiscuit through and through, as in damaged, but you know it’s possible to create this story.

Let’s say I do a bang up job and it’s story that people can’t put down or really gets them to think. There would be no immediacy in terms of helping the situation.

I mean are all of us deferring to some investigative journalist of say Don Bolles stature in the lengths that he would go (he was blown up in his car here in Arizona years ago), that’s never going to appear?

Would an investigative reporter risk their reputation? Hey, Joe, what are you working on?

    “Britney Spears.”

“Oh she’s a joke. What an idiot.”

I’m just little ‘ole me and I get that bullshit.

Steel. Your thoughts are to the good but the moment Adnan does anything public the “He’s a media whore!” Gods are ready. They’ve already been doing it.

At some point I had hopes that Papa or Lynne would say something but they didn’t. Part of why I bought the damn book was in search of language. She never even said he was her boyfriend. Here is her intro, “Britney came back with Adnan, who is also a paparazzo.”

That was the night Sam and Britney had had a huge fight and when Jamie and Lynne got to the house, Britney was no where around.

  371. MARK TWAIN Says:

Mainstream media will be reporting on how well or how bad Britney’s come back. More or less. If they have any question for her, they usually have to conatct her PR people. I think that how it works, no?

But if you want my opinion about her family, c*cksucker would be one of the nicest things I can say about them. Rest is rated XXX…

  381. Amethyst Mine Says:

Mark. It’s such a stupid thing to even think about but that comes our of insecurity and being humbled. It’s not beyond my reach and maybe having a fight with my husband last night and taking jabs and laughter over T-Day will fuel the story.

I never seem to choose or house a passion that’s popular or has my family or friend’s acceptance and support. Even my professional career was not always understood and it was a fine profession for what I did in it; My little miracles at choosing people to believe in and risking my reputation every time. Now that’s a real recruiter, old school or middle. Not this new crap that damages humans.

Sounds like I am giving myself a pep talk.

  382. Amethyst Mine Says:

Here’s a silly thought. (ok, MH, sillier than usual)

The first Q&A was flashed across E! etc. lazy bastards.

Our last visit was within the confines of our domain. lazy bastards

What if our friend came to visit on this particular thread? Double whammy? lazy bastards They still wouldn’t find the mecca of information afore them. All they need to do is start making some calls.

Are we just not smelly enough?

  383. Amethyst Mine Says:

And just like that. I get an unexpected note from my professor from last semester (I had sent him a thank you card earlier this year) offering to write a letter of ref, for the MFA.

That is so generous in many ways. Just keep going right Mark?

  384. small hands Says:

Hi everyone. I’m back. I’ll post more often this week.
I saw the Brit doc last night and it was insightful. I like the interaction between her and her choreographer.
Didn’t really know what to think of Brett. I don’t see her as a true, real friend.
What I found disturbing, was her father saying “nice hooker shoes, baby”. I did hear that right, right? I found that creepy. A father telling his daughter that..yuck.
Overall, I didn’t see someone in need of a c-ship. So it’s all mind-boggling to me. Is she fragile, but what human isn’t. I don’t think that warrants someone being in such tight control as she is. It’s ridiculous.
Oh and Team Adnan all the way. I used to think her father was ok with him because he allowed him to visit, but now I realize I was wrong. I can be such an idiot, but at least I can admit when I’m wrong :)

  385. small hands Says:

I meant to say “Is she fragile? Yes, but what human isn’t.”

  386. Amethyst Mine Says:

MT — did you see this part of the Glamour interview? Seems to back up RS.

  387. Amethyst Mine Says:

small — you haven’t heard of crow mouthwash?

I’ve been an absolute dope on here at times. I ran the scales with Papa and Mama, wanting to believe the best.

I still do but I can’t argue with what seem to be facts?

Would it have killed Lynne (and Lou!) to say Adnan was Britney’s boyfriend?

I am glad she dismissed or degraded Allie to just an assistant but Adnan? Lou at work?

  388. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Flies in the ointment.

Her opening costume reminded others of Madonna. Now who thought of that one.

Her mic doesn’t work after a performance, or it never worked at all.

    What’s going on here.

Take off the heels for an opening performance. Cute outfit but who wants to worry about tripping or pulling up one’s dress front as G pointed out?

Looks like the circus act is not all together.

Nosey. I saw some of the things said in England. They didn’t expect someone to mime, and I didn’t either: not on an opening performance night.

    What the hell?

  389. gigi Says:

To me the mic not working is another form of control. Its part of the outfit and it doesn’t work for me. Give her a damn mic that works. At least turn it on for the interview afterwards. Give her a voice without someone putting another mic in her face.

  390. gigi Says:

I liked the red outfit but something needs to be done to make sure it stays where it should and she should not have to keep pulling it up. I also liked the hat being gone so she could dance more. I liked that entire setup except the mic not working again. Give her a real mic or something. Get that plasic piece of crap off her head. With the amount of money she has she can afford a real mic or one that works.

  391. gigi Says:

I agree AM. It would not have hurt to give our friend some credit for all he did and to say he was her boyfriend. A lot of pops do not like the boyfriends their daughter pics. Why does that give this pop the power to do what he is doing? I’m sure there are fathers out there that would love to have this control at times but the little girl has to grow up and this one will be 27 tomorrow. Give it up and let her love who she wants. Get over it and move on. Give her the phone, ring and anything else that has been taken back.

  392. gigi Says:

MT my hip is also giving me problems but mine is from walking 10 miles in 3 hours as I get ready for the half marathon in January. Oh now we have a story.
Now we’ve gone full circle to what you stated about the american media, lol!

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ah, what I meant was that sometimes the way in which the U.S. media treats a story is sometimes more interesting than the story itself.

The U.S. has a real mouse-vs-elephant relationship with it’s neighbours…So us mice tend to analyze the elephant quite a bit. Sometimes even make fun of the elephant…because…well, we’re mice, and we’re much smaller and less powerful, so we try to feel better about ourselves by tearing the elephant down. Or trying at least. So there’s a lot of chit-chatting between mice.

We’re all hoity-toity like that. LOL

    Am I making sense?!

Basically, we’re outside the box looking in. So the story looks MUCH different from our perspective. And in this case, that might be a good thing.

  394. Steel_Magnolia Says:

    In other words…

We have a very different legal system. And a very different news media.

When it comes to this story, that might be a benefit.

What did you say about how much was cut? Practically half the doc………..

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I think I was told back in school that dramas usually have a 10 to 1 shooting ratio, and docs around a 40 to 1 shooting ratio.

So that means for every minute of footage that showed up in “For The Record,” there’s 39 minutes of footage that ended up on the cutting room floor.

  396. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Plus, it appears they filmed during July and August and didn’t use a minute of that footage. So there’s even MORE on the cutting room floor.

  397. Amethyst Mine Says:

    So where was Lee?

  398. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Lee appears to have started filming during the first week of July. I’m not sure what date he stopped, but “For the Record” starts on the eve of the VMA’s, which aired September 7th. And he isn’t listed as the videographer for it.

  399. Steel_Magnolia Says:

    Hmmm.

Yet here he is, walking into the VMA’s with Pa:

  402. Amethyst Mine Says:

  403. Amethyst Mine Says:

Mark. The honey moves? Yeh yeh you don’t know and that’s cool.

Yes Steel. See all of the Last Emperor. That was a riveting moment in the movie. “Open the door!” prominent theme. My husband and I both joke, “Open the dorrrr Mister Jonston. Open the dorrr.”

    It is apt.

  404. Steel_Magnolia Says:

His real name isn’t even Lee:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

These folks are FAR from amateurs:

    http://www.radicalmedia.com/

For this film, I think Pa has probably stepped back and let Larry and his team do their thing. And Larry is excellent at his job.

There WERE a number of issues they didn’t address, but they gave us so much good stuff, and addressed so many other things we were already wondering about, that I think they were hoping we’d be distracted by what we were already seeing and not ask questions about the rest.

The thing about a POV (”point of view”) doc is that the person making it can choose what they want to include and what they don’t. They can shape the story any old way they want. So, I don’t fault them for NOT directly addressing some of the harder hitting issues (such as rumours of drug use or mental health), or personal details (such as how much control her handlers have over her).

In terms of shaping her image and delivering messages, “For The Record” was extremely well done. They wanted us to fall in love with her, and to humanize her, and I think they were very successful at that.

  412. gigi Says:

that was wonderful. I was expecting Womanizer and got Circus.

He is in it, people can see how the interaction between Britney and him are, or can be.. (we saw some interesting moments of that), and that is what people will remember when this is over.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I was left with the impression that Brit has a very normal relationship with her father. (Okay, normal for me – I think I have much the same relationship with mine, judging by that particular film. My Dad and Jamie could be brothers! LOL)

We’ve also seen that she IS pretty fragile. She seems to be able to turn on her “Britney face” whenever the cameras are on or she’s required to perform in some way (she’s very professional!) but as soon as the cameras are off, she falls back out of character and often appears sullen, tired, or on the edge of tears (much like the Glamour and RS magazine reporters said).

So, now it’s believable to me that she could have a “relapse” at any given time. And, since we’re left with the impression that her and her Dad have a “normal” relationship, it makes sense that the C-Ship should naturally be extended until she’s “better” and back on her feet again.

This is just the impression I was left with after watching the film. But is it close to REALITY?

I really don’t know. I think only those people who know her personally would be able to have an opinion on that.

Alright Steel. She mimed or she didn’t.
WTF. You don’t put this girl back on stage with miming.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I’m probably going to have hard-core fans jump down my throat for this, but I have a hunch she’s been doing this for a very long time. Not flat-out lipsynching, but singing along with a backing track, with the volume on her mic adjusted up or down (or turned right off) depending on whether she’s hitting the notes or not.

This is standard in the industry when there’s lots of choreography, so I don’t think it’s a big deal when it’s done here and there. If you ever go back and watch Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour (1990), you’ll see Madonna doing the same thing even back then. Blonde Ambition was probably one of the first big tours that was theatrical – heavy on costumes, sets, and REALLY heavy on choreography.

I think the problem with lipsynching is when it’s over-relied on. This is Brit’s big “comeback,” so everyone’s expectations are really high. Maybe TOO high. They want heavy choreography out of her, AND they want live singing. And how many performers can really do that?

And Brit CAN sing live. There’s no doubt about that:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gl3QRuNXoeI

But she can’t spend every number behind a piano. Save that for Elton John.

  415. gigi Says:

well crap. Thats what I get for watching Good Morning America at work. I watched Brit perform Circus then started working and did not realize she came back out and did Womanizer and received a birthday cake. The pictures look like she took that awful mic off and used a hand held mic for the birthday cake they gave her. I also saw her cute little boys in the second row with Lynne and family.

  416. nosey Says:

Just watched the circus performance on Perez…I have to say it looked really good!! Why is everyone moaning??(not here, elsewhere)

  417. gigi Says:

They say too much walking around and throwing around of the arms but it looked great to me. The only thing I thought was strange was when they ask her where the tour starts and she didn’t seem to know.

  418. gigi Says:

BH has both songs up from this morning and pics from this morning. She looked great to me. She actually got rid of the mic I have been bitching about that doesn’t work for the interview.

  419. gigi Says:

The interview I think was on BS and they brought the birthday cake out. It was so big. Hope the boys had fun helping to eat that.

  420. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I’m just watching on YouTube, so things are a little fuzzy, but…

Was that Lonnie the Bodyguard holding JJ there in the audience? It looked so cute! Were the boys scared by it all, or were they having a good time?

  421. Amethyst Mine Says:

In and out today whilst doing revisions to the story. I so much prefer first drafts but here I am three hours into it and still not done with the first page, the set up.

So I appreciate hearing what’s going on. How did the GMA interview go?

And sorry but we know Britney can use those legs and that awesome torso and back, so yeh, I “want more.” I love her so it’s fine for now. No gimme gimme — it’s not they are not letting her stretch.

  422. gigi Says:

yes that was Kfed? body guard I think. Not sure of his name but it looked like him and yes both boys looked scared. They will understand when they are alittle older I think but maybe not now.
The only thing in the interview I thought strange was she didn’t know where the tour would start and they kept saying her hometown. She is not from New ORleans so it is not home town but close to hometown

  423. gigi Says:

I looked at tickets in a couple cities and the prices seem to be from $37.00 to $150. Hummm so I’ll have to see after Christmas what I can afford and if there is any left then.

  424. Amethyst Mine Says:

oops I meant “They are not letting her stretch.”

  425. MARK TWAIN Says:

    SM

Dont forget that the people who did the doc have the real footage of the real Britney Spears. Part of the MTV doc is to polish Daddy Spears image enough to keep everyone inlove with his character. Enough where they allowed the rough edges to show that it’s not perfect. The things that you saw was cut and paste. I understand what you said about how much gets cut in the cutting room. I can assure you that they let her speak about other things to capture her true emotions. Capture that emotion and cut and just films her silent and cut and then another subject.

The film makers and those who were there now knows the truth. But I’m sure they all have signed a confeidentiality agreement. I refuse to watch the doc because in my mind I have seen the true cut before they even cut it, lol…

I must admit that they the people on that side have played an excellent and a perfect game of ‘Chess’. No doubt they have. But the game the others were playing was not to win but to get everyones attention. To unite and fight as one. The difference was that they the other side was a complete team from the get go. The other side was devided and was picking up bits and pieces as it goes along. Learning and figuring out what the grand plan was. It was never about winning but exposing.

So far Adnan have become a boogieman or the thorn on Daddy Spears image. Daddy Spears have become a very powerful individual. A man with total control of a product. Unfortunately it’s his own daughter who is under permanent conservatorship till he dies.

Hollywood is all fine and dandy until you start looking under the carpet and finding all the dirt shoved in it. Here an example of how ugly Hollywood can get and you can tell just where things might be heading for some poor Joe who has no clue to what his life might become. Now this has nothing to do with Britney Spears but it does have alot to do with Hollywood. You’ll only understnad it once you stop pretending and remove the blind fold from your eyes and start accepting what you’ve already seen.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Pellicano

Here’s a great story out of Hollywood a few years back. It was trully an awesome story from a person on the outside looking in.

As they say in that Sprite commercial.

‘Image is nothing Thirst is everything’.

Creating an image of someone. It’s no longer about Britney Spears the ‘Brand’, she’s already a well know image. She cant go anywhere without being recognized. It’s the new celeb behind the celeb. A needed introduction of the new marriage. Thats the person or persons that needs their image polished. That’s when the PR campaign starts. Disablers as they claimed must be removed. Anything that might get in the way of their image. Funny how I tried the place the Christian concept of religion regarding image on this one. Someone has to pay for these sins, lol.

And on this note, MT’s charcter has now come to an end. I dont think he will be needed anymore. The future is near for the real players to set up another chess match. I hope that the board is even on both sides this time as they have learned much from the first match.

As for our friend? You have stood by him from the very begining. You understood the magnitude of his situation. His life changed the moment Britney jumped in his car. An oportunity or chance. A toss of the dice. Heads or tails. Many negative things have been said about him in the past. It’s not over yet for him. Maybe it has just begun. Might he be the sacrificial piece?, maybe. He will be turned into dirt because that’s just how the game is played. But all you who stood by him will not judge him but will give him the benifit of the doubt when darker days comes ahead. The P-card will come into play once again.

I’ve learned alot about myself doing this. I’ve never before in my life have done anything like this. I’ve been a photographer for more than 20 years now and I’ve always seen life through the eyepiece of my camera. ‘As an L.A. Paparazzi, capturing and steeling that moment is how we do things. Capturing undeniable moments’.

    ‘Happy Birthday Britney’

Good Friends, Elvis has left the building.

  426. gigi Says:

Come on MT. Why you leaving us now? We don’t want you to leave now. We will always stand by our friend and also those that are his friends.

  427. gigi Says:

MT there is still much work to do. More chess to play. The CD comes out today. Why is Elvis leaving the building today of all days?

  428. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Mark. Why stop now?

  429. Amethyst Mine Says:

Don’t underestimate your part in us having remained faithful to the board. I don’t mean as entertainment.

With you by us it was easier to keep going, be focused, keep asking, keep inquiring.

I’m not giving up. Why are you.

  430. gigi Says:

I agree AM. MT has been a big part of this. He has kept us on track for the last 10-11 months and before that at fpx

  431. Amethyst Mine Says:

MT. I am writing a story and it’s not that bad. Ronnie is the star of the story and you come next as a star.

How funny it is not Britney Spears. It’s not what anybody would expect.

  432. Amethyst Mine Says:

Mark Twain. Do not make me drop the F’bomb.

You ever see my myspace acct? There’s been a warm and fuzzy for you there bebe.

  433. gigi Says:

MT it feels like your giving up the fight. Why give up your voice here? Are the silencers trying to now silence you also?

  434. Amethyst Mine Says:

MT. I am under deadline and don’t have time this minute to cipher.

I am going for my G.D. A but moreover I am not giving up on my myself, nor this story, nor Adnan, nor anyone else.

    Adnan and Britney broke up?

(Remember the rook now on their side of the board.)

  435. Amethyst Mine Says:

Mark? I still don’t have time at this moment to digest but I am listening. I hope I was a good student.

I am enrolling again next semester with the same professor. I’ve been with you two terms though you were gone much of the summer.

  436. gigi Says:

All seems quiet here today. I thought today would be different with the GMA show. Now MT says he is leaving us. AM I was wondering the same B&A question. I know how hard it is to love someone from afar. Add to that the knowledge that you may never get the chance to prove yourself to that person or the ones surrounding that person. Its got to be hard. Then add in the fact that you can no longer work in the job you love because of backlash. Its exhausting to think about. I support our friend 100%. I think he got/is getting a bum rap for all this crap. I think MT is right and he will be one of the fall guys. I think that is wrong to put him in that catergory with the other man/men that did all this. MT is also right that it changed for him when she jumped into his car. I think he was not ready/equipped for all that happened so soon after that. I am not sure anyone would be able to react to all that. This CD is named correctly. Its a CIRCUS everywhere she goes. Its the brand that was made and is being made now.

I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be here till they close the site down. I like the friendship I’ve made with people. I like the discussions we have had and not just about B. I wish the real story could be told and the censorship gone. I wish the men that can see through the lens and know what is going on could tell the real story and not get slaughtered in the media and other places for it. So here I sit, watching and waiting for the next story.

Here is a transcript from last night episode of Showbiz Tonight
    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0812/01/sbt.01.html

    The Britney part:

A.J. HAMMER, HOST (voice over): Now on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Britney Spears` brand-new unbelievable revelations about her private pain, in her own words.

JO PIAZZA, NEW YORK DAILY NEWS: The tragic part is that Britney Spears looks great and she seems like she`s poised for a comeback but she doesn`t seem happy.

HAMMER: Her breakdown. Her breakups. Her push to find another husband. Plus Britney`s never-before-heard thoughts about being a mom.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with Britney Spears` incredible new confessions caught on tape.

TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

BROOKE ANDERSON, HOST: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you from Hollywood.

And tonight, I can tell you this, forget everything you thought you knew about Britney Spears.

HAMMER: That`s right, Brooke. Tonight, Britney Spears exposed. For the very first time we can now tell you what has really been going on in Britney`s life, or perhaps we should say, Britney is now telling you.

A long awaited and I have to say absolutely remarkable documentary about Britney on MTV had just aired and Britney leaves nothing to the imagination. All this, of course, is happening on the eve of both her 27th birthday and the debut of her new album. And it`s all making big news right now.

    (BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER (voice over): We saw Britney happy. We saw her upset.

    BRITNEY SPEARS, SINGER: I`m sad.

HAMMER: And we saw her doing what she does best.

SPEARS: Dancing is a huge part of me.

HAMMER: The many and sometimes disturbing sides of Britney Spears were on full display in the brand-new documentary “For the Record” which debuted on MTV Sunday night.

PIAZZA: They followed her for 60 days after the MTV Video Music Awards in this documentary and essentially got a no-holds-barred look at Britney Spears` life.

SPEARS: I`ve been through a lot this year. Actually the past two or three years and my trust has really been battered. I`ve definitely grown up, big-time.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you in “For the Record,” Britney left nothing to the imagination. She opened up about everything from her infamous her head-shaving…

SPEARS: I was going through a lot but I wish it`s kind of like me just feeling a form of a little bit of rebellion.

HAMMER: To her break-up with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

SPEARS: He started doing an album for himself and he sort of wanted to do things for himself. And I just never saw him anymore. And when it ended, it was just like, I felt so alone.

HAMMER: And even the constant partying and string of bad decisions that led a judge to take away custody of her two boys.

SPEARS: I just remember I did not want to be at home because, like, my babies represented home. That was my home with them. And every time I went home, it was like, oh, god, I can`t be here.

HAMMER: She also talked about the break-up with her then teen boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.

SPEARS: When he was gone, I was like, what am I supposed to do with myself? You know what I mean? And I was so young, I would go out just to keep my mind busy.

HAMMER: Britney, who recently made a guest appearance performing with Madonna during Madonna`s tour, got some very personal advice from the material girl.

MADONNA, SINGER: There`s a certain fragility about her and vulnerability about her that makes me feel maternal towards her. I was very privileged in my own life to be able to go to New York, make mistakes without the whole world, you know, putting a magnifying glass on you. And she`s never had that opportunity.

And first and foremost, it should be about her own spiritual growth.

    SPEARS: I`m sad.

HAMMER: We see Britney get the most emotional when she talks about her life now, living under a court-ordered conservatorship headed by her father, Jamie, who controls her life.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you feel out of control in your life?

SPEARS: No, I feel like I got to control, I think it`s too in control. There`s no excitement, there`s no passion, there`s no — it`s like Groundhog Day every day. You know? Really boring.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the documentary comes as Britney is on a full-out media blitz to promote her new album “Circus” which releases on her 27th birthday. She`s on the covers of “Rolling Stone” and “Glamour.”

Britney`s just back from a weekend swing through Europe to promote “Circus” including Germany, Paris and a highly rated appearance Britain`s “X Factor”.

PIAZZA: She is every where. Pretty much you can`t blink without seeing Britney Spears.

HAMMER: But even as her career heats up again, the documentary makes one thing clear about Britney — she`s still affected by the wild ride that once got her locked up for psychiatric evaluation and has robbed her of the right to make her own decisions.

SPEARS: I had let certain people into my life that were — that were just bad people because I was lonely and whatever the fact, and I really paid the consequences for that big-time. But I just feel like, you know, you do something wrong and you learn from it, you move on. But it`s like I`m having to pay for it for a really long time.

PIAZZA: The tragic part is that Britney Spears looks great and she seems like she`s poised for a comeback. But she doesn`t seem happy. I think professional recovery is coming kind of easier to her right now. But she has a long way to go personally.

    (END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: All right. So now we`ve heard Britney`s dramatic side of the stories. So why does it seem like there are now more questions than answers?

Joining me tonight in New York, Cooper Lawrence. Cooper is a psychology researcher, expert in celebrity fame, and the host of the syndicated radio show, “The Cooper Lawrence Show.” And joining me tonight in Hollywood, Carlos Diaz, a correspondent for “Extra.”

All right, guys, you`ve watched the documentary. You`ve heard what Britney Spears has to say.

Carlos, out of everything that you learned about Britney in this documentary, what surprised you the most?

CARLOS DIAZ, CORRESPONDENT, “EXTRA”: I mean I`m surprised by how talented she is, first and foremost, because when you see her in this footage, she just is — I mean she has talent and it`s just natural for her.

But the thing I was most surprised with is the fact that she still refers to herself in prison and she`s contradicting herself, because she says when she broke up with K-Fed and when she broke up with Justin, she didn`t know what to do with herself.

But yet she`s still feels that she`s now in prison. So it`s kind of contradictory there. You didn`t know what to do with yourself but you know that you don`t like where you`re at now even though you`re enjoying immense success. I don`t get it.

HAMMER: Yes, I think there were a few contradictions that we saw throughout the documentary. At one point we hear Britney saying that she has grown up big-time. And then you hear her say things that may contradict that.

Cooper Lawrence, after watching the documentary, what do you think? Has Britney grown up big-time?

COOPER LAWRENCE, CELEBRITY AND FAME EXPERT, PSYCHOLOGY RESEARCHER: No. No.

    HAMMER: No.

LAWRENCE: Not even a little, A.J. No, because, you know, her father is still in charge of everything in her life. Look at the markers of what a grown-up is. A grown-up is somebody that makes all their own decision, she doesn`t. A grown-up is somebody who can go wherever they want to freely, she doesn`t.

And I just know from years of being in this industry that they — you know, the paparazzi are following her, but I know that it`s her people sending e- mails and faxes to the paparazzi saying, here`s where Britney`s going to be today. She has no control over that.

So to have no control of your life in any way, shape or form is not grown- up. If anything, these people make her more and more like an infant every day.

HAMMER: Yes, and you always hear how child stars, and she certainly started very young, often have a stunted childhood and they don`t really get the chance to grow up. And that — you feel is still at play here?

LAWRENCE: Absolutely. And also, you know, you have to remember, when people watch Britney and they go, oh, poor thing, remember, she doesn`t have everything she wants. She may have everything you want but she doesn`t have everything she wants.

    HAMMER: Yes.

LAWRENCE: And that is also a marker of a grown-up.

HAMMER: Well, to that — there`s a particularly powerful and honest moment of the many that were in the show from Britney that I really want to play for you. In this one, Britney talks about being fearful of losing her happiness. Watch what he said here.

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SPEARS: It was just like you can`t really go there in a complete state of happiness because you`re scared that it`s going to be taken away. When I tell them the way I feel, it`s like they hear me but they`re really not listening. They`re hearing what they want to hear. They`re not really listening to what I`m telling them. It`s bad. I`m sad.

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Yes, I mean that really is one of the real moments that we got to see. She`s afraid of her happiness being taken away.

Carlos, if you`re like me, you can`t help but feel sorry for her.

DIAZ: Because of the fact that Britney Spears is seen by a lot of people around her as a commodity, and that`s the thing. It`s like, OK, we need to protect Britney from herself but we also have to remember that she is a person and that you need to care for her as a person before you — you know protect her as this entity that can make a lot of money for you.

HAMMER: I want to get back to something Cooper was talking about a moment ago and play another clip, Britney talking about the public`s perception that her life is out of control. Watch what Britney says about that.

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Do you feel out of control in your life?

SPEARS: No, I don`t think it`s out of control. I think it`s too in control. There`s no excitement, there`s no passion. There`s no — like, it`s just like Groundhog Day every day. You know? Really boring.

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right. With everything that is going on, it`s hard to believe that somebody like Britney Spears could say her life is actually boring.

Cooper, you listen to that sort of monotone through the tears there, almost sounds like she`s emotionally dead, doesn`t it?

LAWRENCE: Yes, I mean, nobody takes her seriously, just what Carlos was saying earlier. She`s a commodity to a lot of people. So when she has an emotion, nobody takes it seriously. Her day is very structured but it also explains why when she does have some free moments, she behaves highly impulsive because she`s looking for that passion.

It explains why she gets married so quickly. It explains why she does the crazy things she does. It`s the only passion and the only autonomy she has over her own life.

HAMMER: I want to very quickly play the clip of Madonna, because if anybody can relate to Britney`s life, it`s Madonna who made a surprise appearance in the documentary. Watch what Madonna says is the key for Britney surviving.

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MADONNA: A lot of it has to do with the people that she surrounds herself with, because you are your environment. And first and foremost, it should be about her own spiritual growth, her own self-examination, her own growth as a human being and her relationship with her children. That should be first and foremost. And then everything else will radiate off of that.

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Very quickly, Carlos, does Madonna have that right?

DIAZ: She has that right and it`s a very scary fact that she`s pointing out because Britney does not have her kids. She does not have Sean Preston or Jayden James. And every day she spends away from them is another day that they`re growing up without her.

HAMMER: Well, now everybody will be watching her progress and we`ll see how well this album does, and what it does for Britney`s own spirit.

Cooper Lawrence, Carlos Diaz, I thank you both.

    LAWRENCE: Thanks, man.

  438. small hands Says:

I know it’s long, but take time to read it. They see she doesn’t seem happy. I wonder if they will dig deeper.

  439. small hands Says:

Something I forgot to mention about For the Record, when they showed Jamie cooking, I noticed a photograph on the counter of Britney….it was her wedding picture. Did anyone notice it? It’s a bit strange to me that she would have it up. But maybe I didn’t see correctly.

  440. small hands Says:

About her performance this morning on GMA, I didn’t like it. I don’t mind the miming if there is intricate/complicated choreography, but there was neither this morning. I do love the song “Circus” and it looks like the tour could be a great show with that theme. Very lively. She can do a lot with that theme.
The cake they presented was beautiful. It took 60 hrs to create that cake.
It was nice to see her kids in the audience. I wish Kevin’s bodyguard wasn’t there. He reminds me of how much supervision Britney has with her kids and it’s sad. The reality of her life is sad.
Speaking of Kevin, he’s doing a “Kevin tell his side of the story” on people.com on Wednesday. Many will listen because of all the attention Britney’s getting. I wish he’d just shut up.

  441. small hands Says:

Well I guess I’m the only one here. I’ll check back later.

MT–I wish you wouldn’t leave. I appreciate you. And when you say “The P-card will come into play once again.”, does the P stand for paparazzi? If so, how will it come into play again…by Jamie or Adnan? Will Adnan return to his old job again?

If MT is indeed gone, I don’t think you’ll have to wait much longer for decent Britney conservator fodder. Still 3 months to go before she bows out for her tour! Plenty of time for stuff to get stirred up.

Dont you find it strange and “sick” that they want her to be in the same temprament all the time?

Normal people have “swings”, thats called “to live” .
Its like they dont understand her life situation.

She is 27, have two kids, work and support a lot of people, jet she cant have any private life!!!!! That would get anyone´s temperament swinging.

I find the material show that she does exactly what what they demand of her and she does the best of the circumstances.

I think “people” = journalists are very cruel and just have opinons , but not any deep thougts of how she really have to live.

And now that “father of the year” , K- Fed are going to talk…
    How low can he get?

If he not stand up for once and tell:

“All is my fault, I break her down. And now I shall try to do everything to make her feel know that I will support and help her to get her kids back. I´m sorry for what I did”

Well, one can dream.. I guess Kaplan & company have trained him well for this performance.

Oh, how I despise that K-Fed person.

  458. Amapola Says:

    MH

Of cource dad and Britney have to.

They have that K Fed person and his gread, Kaplan and the family court, to think of.

Kaplan get rich if the “newspapers” can turn anything in some bad angle. And they constantly seek for that angle.

K fed get richer too, if so.

The family court act like they to read the gossip sites, and then thake their decisions 8O

This is not a coutry for a wealthy, young modern women to live in. Not safe. How will such a women dare to have baby´s born in US??

  491. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Already got the CD, but am debating over the tickets…

  492. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Okay, I just lied. I didn’t buy the whole CD. I downloaded a couple of songs…then burned a CD of those, plus the majority of Blackout!

I bought Blackout the day it came out, and have probably listened to it once a day ever since. I truly, truly LOVE that album!

I don’t know why, but I’m just not diggin’ this one. I don’t really like Womanizer and Circus that much…they’re just too “pop” for me. But I LOVE “Kill the Lights,” and “Phonography” (and “Trouble” if I could find it to download it.) And I really like a bunch of the others…but…

I really, really love my Blackout. Maybe I’m just not ready to part with it yet. :(

  493. Amethyst Mine Says:

I think I will get Blackout, Steel.

I will make an admission myself. The envelope came yesterday, my husband got the mail. I just said, “It’s mine.”

I didn’t open it. I didn’t want another fight (we had one over the holiday). I told him today what I was listening to.

I think he heard me a little bit in that last argument or he was so preoccupied it was a minimal affair.

You don’t have to part with Blackout. Heck I am still discovering it. But I love Circus, Blur, Mannequin, Kill the Lights, Unusual You…it’s a treat.

  494. Amethyst Mine Says:

p.s. the spouse did say, “You have headphones.”

ow. It’s no wonder G and I talk off line.

Mountains here. This whole thing has been alienating from many.

If they can’t say something bitchey or tear her down they are not interested. And I am not interested in doing that.

Neither is my husband but he’s so knows more about pop culture and public sentiment which as we all know is for shit.

So yeh Steel. What are you going to do with all of this information of the past months?

  495. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I downloaded Unusual You, Kill the Lights, Phonography, Mannequin and If U Seek Amy.

For some reason, the songs that get released as singles on albums are the ones I like the LEAST.

For example…Remember “If God Was One of Us” by Joan Osborne? It was this HUGE hit…but then about six months later, that album flooded the Used racks in record stores because everyone realized it was nothing like the rest of the album and got rid of it. But I absolutely HATE that song…Yet still listen to the rest of the album about once a week!

  496. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Okay, I luckily have a gem of a boyfriend when it comes to this! He’s a hardcore heavy metaller – listens to Cannibal Corpse, Type-O Negative, Slayer. He practices their songs for hours on his guitar, and blasts it in the truck.

But…He’ll let me play Blackout start to finish any time I want! He lets me blab on about all my little Brit theories, and asks for updates, and even critiques Twain’s tastes in music!

    …LOL!!

Steel. I am no unlucky with my spouse just I am the one with more courage to be out there. I am who I am. I hate people attached to me through superficiality so I put it all out there up front.

It brings confrontation true but why waste my time on people who won’t be there? I don’t mind the down times for that reason. Elimination but I have had all of my friends for years now if that makes sense.

  499. Steel_Magnolia Says:

There stood a younger version of A. He had it all – T-shirt, shades, strip on his chin, jeans and smile. I did a double take. My first thought was OMG he is here in my Walmart. Then I looked again and decided this man is younger than A. Several years younger. Still looked wonderful but that was not him. Couldn’t be. I look toooooo far from LA to be A. My son talked about the man on his shirt all the way home. He is still thinking that was him.

Steel they just don’t play this music on the radio. What’s it like in the Pacific Northwest?

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I don’t listen to the radio a lot, but from watching the charts, I’ve noticed that the music that makes the “Top 40″ in the US and the music that makes the “Top 40″ outside the US is much, much different. The US appears to be heavy on R&B and Hip Hop (e.g. Beyonce, Lil Wayne?), while North of the border (and Europe?) its more electro-pop and indie rock (e.g. Arcade Fire).

Back in the 90’s, when bubble gum was first hitting the airwaves, Britney, NSync, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, etc. all hit it HUGE here…But were virtual unknowns in the US until six months or a year later. And it’s the same with alot of other hit songs. Macarena? I was in Acapulco, and it was MONSTER there, but didn’t hit the States until about a six months later. I’m Blue by Eiffel 65? I was in England on holidays and it was MONSTER there…but didn’t hit Canada for another six months, and the US several months after that.

Okay, I’m really dating myself with this 90’s music…But I tend to remember life events based on songs, and where I was at the particular time I heard them.

Or maybe I’m more like Cliff Claven…Yeah, that’s probably a better description! Full of useless information. LOL

  512. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Wow! I just tried to buy tickets during the pre-sale, and the show was already sold out…3 MINUTES after the tickets went on-sale.

Umm…Well I guess THAT’s decided. I’m officially not going to see Brit in concert!

  513. gigi Says:

Steel I may not make it either. I have to buy the kids Christmas first then think about the concert. I’m sure by then it will be sold out in both places I would/could go to see it. Its not coming to my town so the least I would have to travel is 3.5 hours. Then again if I get the tickets I want I could fly out to see it with a friend possibly. Again the tickets will be gone by then I’m sure.

  514. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Maybe I’ll just wait until the next time Brit tours anyways.

I’ve been looking at things like this lately…Who HAVEN’T I seen that might not be touring much longer? So I just went to see Madonna (’cause yeah, she looks great now but how much longer can she keep this up?), plus Tina Turner and Neil Diamond.

And I gotta say…Tina Turner put Madonna to shame. She’s probably one of the best performers I’d ever seen. It’s like Tina set the bar, in terms of talent, and now nobody else is ever going to be able to top her. U2 was up there, along with AC/DC. But for some reason, Tina just DID it for me.

  515. Amethyst Mine Says:

Steel. When I was a small kid my brother-in-law would say, “Do Tina again.” I could also do Cher, “Half-breeeEEd.”

I can’t remember seeing any other female performers on TV.

aw Tina is tops. Glad to hear she is still putting it out.

  516. Amethyst Mine Says:

p.s. Thanks for the update on ticket sales.

Guys. I think the idea was the possibility of making a rumble before the tour.

I think this is what Mark wanted to accomplish, i.e., to catch the attention of someone who could cause a stink over the c-ship.

Otherwise Mark would still have work to do?

  517. Steel_Magnolia Says:

AM, I think MH (and was it you, also?) mentioned that AEG has likely only been able to secure insurance for the tour IF the C-Ship remains in place.

So, if the C-Ship were to be removed, what would this mean for the tour?

And is removing the C-Ship the actual goal? Or just having someone else put in Jamie’s place as Conservator (so that Brit can gain confidence and “pass her tests”) and have the C-Ship removed when it truly is safe to do so?

    G. What are you doing to your kids. lol just kidding girl. You are the only one with a tee.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Really?! I thought I was the only one without a tee. I kind of wanted one…It’s like a bit of pop culture memorabilia! LOL

  521. Amethyst Mine Says:

G once posted a website where you could buy the shirt Steel.

  522. Amapola Says:

Here whe have seen how “someone” buy up all the tickets and then sells them online, with LARGE supplement charge.

That will be stopped now, at least they try…

This was not about the Britney Tour, it was some others, but maybe its the same in other countrys?

  523. Steel_Magnolia Says:

I got in on the Madonna AND the Tina Turner pre-sales…Clicked “Buy” the second it turned 10:30 a.m. for the Madonna pre-sale, and got tickets in the top level, centre ice. (Madonna’s sales started at 10 am for long-time fan club members, and 10:30 am for new fan club members.)

For Britney, I was 3 minutes late. Clicked “Buy” at 10:03 a.m. And the tickets were already gone. How can that be?

  524. Amethyst Mine Says:

Ama. Are you talking about Scalpers?

  525. gigi Says:

well they are not showing the tees anymore on that site. I did look in the last few days cause I was planning on giving my friend one for Christmas. I’m still waiting on a reply from my email to that company. Maybe Ronnie can tell me how to get another one so I can send it to her.

  526. gigi Says:

Steel I looked yesterday and could have gotten tickets in Phoenix on the $125.00 level if I had had the money at that time.

  527. Steel_Magnolia Says:

Ha! All the top level seats got snatched up in 3 minutes. But the “ringside” seats (nine rows up from the centre ring…it’s “in the round”), those ones are still available…for $350. Each.

  528. Amethyst Mine Says:

    US or Canadian Steel?

  529. Steel_Magnolia Says:

The dollar is pretty much at par right now. So almost the same, either way. It would be slightly more (maybe 20% right now?) in CDN dollars.

I did not know they had a own name..

  532. Amethyst Mine Says:

Ama. If I understood your meaning they are those who buy the tickets, hold them until the day or so before the concert, and more than they paid for them.

Scalpers. Yes. That is the name.

Ah though to be walking up Addison faced by scalpers on a spring or summer day in Chicago.

They were part of the colorful mass and no where to be found the day Michael Jordan threw the opening pitch. Wrigley.

  536. nosey Says:

Helloooooo! Did not know which story we were on, but thought I would put this link on this story, as it has Adnan on.
………Of Britney’s recent liaison with British paparazzo Adnan Ghalib (who at one point reportedly sold semi-naked pictures of Britney for around £25,000), Lynne remains tightlipped. ‘Did I think it seemed right that they were seeing each other? Oh, no. But when I met him, Sam Lufti [Britney's former manager] was also around, and Adnan was definitely the better of the two. But Adnan’s out of her life now,’ Lynne adds, with some relief………..
    Taken from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1092120/Lynne-Spears-Im-blame-Britneys-meltdown.html
Mmmmmmm. Not nice about Adnan, eh?

  537. Amethyst Mine Says:

Nosey. I was just going to post that.

“By all accounts, Mr Spears is no slouch on the disciplining front, apparently drawing up a list of rules with which his 27-year-old daughter must comply, including no emailing or driving. And no exceeding the £750 a month allowance he gives her. ‘She was spending a lot of money, so that would make sense,’ says Lynne.”

  538. Amethyst Mine Says:

One wonders why she hasn’t made some of those remarks to U.S.-based media outlets.

  539. Amapola Says:

    VERY Trustful source…

    “Libel lawsuits
On 27 April 2007, film star Hugh Grant accepted damages over claims made about his relationships with his former girlfriends in three separate tabloid articles published in the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday on 18, 21 and 24 February.

His lawyer stated that all of the articles’ “allegations and factual assertions are false.”[16]

Grant said, in a written statement, that he took the action because: “I was tired of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday papers publishing almost entirely fictional articles about my private life for their own financial gain.

I’m also hoping that this statement in court might remind people that the so-called ‘close friends’ or ‘close sources’ on which these stories claim to be based almost never exist.”[17]
    ”””””””””’

World soccer’s governing body, FIFA, also filed a lawsuit against the Daily Mail due to comments made by sportswriter Andrew Jennings against the organisation and its president Sepp Blatter.[18]”

  540. nosey Says:

But why would they bother to lie about Adnan? Why bring the subject up??

  541. nosey Says:

I agree they are lying over the tape issue, but why say Lynne is ‘tight lipped’ on the subject, and then spout off loads of stuff!! Kind of contradicting dont you think! LOL!!

  542. Amapola Says:

Why? They live on lies. And stupid people belive them.

  543. nosey Says:

Which is the current ‘hot thread?’ I keep loosing you guys!!

  544. nosey Says:

    …..Im not stoopid….much….

  545. Amapola Says:

    No not you!!!!
I dont talk about anyone here, I talk about the people who buys them.

    Some one have to?
I dont know anyone who does. Do you?

  546. Amapola Says:

Dont people direct themself to a special person when they want to say something, nice or bad, to them?

How make it possible to make comments here without people taking it personal? When its not personal, but ordinarily comments about a subject. :(

I honnestly ask how to do.

  547. Amapola Says:

    elvis and ledger I think..
At least for some hours ago.
    Detective work
Not so hot, I think

  548. Amethyst Mine Says:

Good find, Ama on the libel suits.

This particular article though is curious. It seems rather more designed than usual.

Other things are curious like Lynne not being anywhere in For the Record and OK Magazine carrying the TMZ story about Britney fighting with her dad to see Adnan.

  549. Amethyst Mine Says:

I don’t believe the rubbish either but after Adnan was reduced to just another paparazzo in Lynne’s book, I wouldn’t put it past her.

Was she kept out of For the Record? What would be the design in that I wonder.

  550. Amapola Says:

    AM 1:50 pm
“Other things are curious like Lynne not being anywhere in For the Record and OK Magazine carrying the TMZ story about Britney fighting with her dad to see Adnan.”

And that have to do with Britney as ?????
I think Britney and Adnan, if they choice to, can handle this without our (or TMZ ) private eye.
There are limits on how close one should go into someone else private life. If we support B and A, its OK, but I dont think to support them is the same as talking bad about Britneys parents.

If I look on For the Record, its for having the opportunity to see and hear Britney.

Why do we have to know everything?

People are like leeches, thats why this papers can go out with lies, lies, and more lies.
They (the papers) made up storys, and people obvious take them serious.

“Sources, a sourse near XX”..and so on. Or worse, they say the person itself have done the intervju!
Dont people know by now that its almost 100% BS ?

  551. Amethyst Mine Says:

I wasn’t born to sway you.

  552. small hands Says:

Didn’t notice Lynne not being in FTR until you mentioned it.

  553. Amapola Says:

Well look at :( Brett :(

I have make a comment on this tread
    “Britney Lights Another Tree Tonight”

  554. Amethyst Mine Says:

small — someone else noticed it — I came across some blog about what FTR didn’t answer and left out.

I’m a gonna beat Nosey to this one today:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1092519/The-day-I-saw-Britney-Spears-8217-father-pull-knife.html

It’s obviously slanted otherwise why not to include that Jamie was doing okay in the restaurant business — as far as I know and didn’t Jamie try to give K-Fed a career there?

  555. Amapola Says:

    Britney Lights Another Tree Tonight,

there you have the same link, earlier today.. :)

  556. Amethyst Mine Says:

Just as a reminder of how caring Sam seemed to be etc. He snowed Barbara Walters and CNN and the world January 28th, the day he and Britney got into a fight where paps ask, “Did he hit you? Did he hit her?” Some paps said there was a red mark on her face.

    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0801/28/sbt.01.html

  557. Amethyst Mine Says:

He pretends to be your friend. “Brit I got this friend. I’ll take care of you. His name is Howard. That’s right. You’re okay. Don’t you worry about Kevin. He won’t get your money.”

    Who knows?!

  558. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Meanwhile looking at media.

Instead of thinking about some people helping each other without them knowing about it let’s explore another angle.

I hate to talk good versus bad, but as we have agreed I think that Sam and crew are bad — can we just explore in this simplified concept?

Let’s say there are two teams who want an end of c-ship. One wants it confident they can gain the cookie jar — that side still has Sam or Sam-esque people.

Then there is another good side — people like you, me, small and others. It’s not access to the cookie jar we are after but justice and the proper treatment of a human being with civil rights.

I am not going to say that K-Fed is on the bad side just that he is on another side of this puzzle — e.g., the right/hope to hold his head high.

Consider a room with multiple chess board games where you sometimes catch wind of what’s happening at another table but you are all in the same cigar laden room.

I can take an article published in the Daily Mail, disect it, but then wonder if it was “coincidence” that the article was even run and at this time.

Media is my thing. You know that. I got few others to talk to about it so it goes here for now.

  559. Amethyst Mine Says:

Oops. I meant to post all of the above to the other thread.

  560. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Leaving.
