Pap 101: Meet Yah Ya
Wednesday, December 31st, 2008So I spent my New Years Eve day sifting through a bunch of old Pap 101 videos, trying to put together a best of 2008 collage, but sadly, I’ve run out of time. I’ll get back to it in a day or so. I found a bunch of never before seen footage of Uli taking pictures in his underwear, Jonzen making out with his camera, Uli in the bathroom of a Home Town Buffet and a ton of other stuff. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry but mostly you’ll do more crying than laughing after seeing the aforementioned shots of Uli. Either way, here’s a Pap 101 from a week or so ago that I never got to. In case you don’t know who Yah Ya is, he’s a famous autograph/photo op guy here in town. He’s been on many late night television shows but he’s just an over all nice guy. So without further adieu, meet Yah ya.

Lindsay And Sam Rock Miami

Lindsay Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson will be keeping things hot in Miami Beach tonight, when the two helm a NYE bash at Mansion. Tickets are $200, VIP tables $1,500 – $5,000, to see Lindsay host while Sam does her DJ thing. Wonder if a midnight kiss in in their contract?

Don’t feel like dropping the big bucks or risking a DUI this New Year’s Eve? Then check out what the networks have for those who’d rather do their partying at home.
On cable, funny lady Kathy Griffin joins Anderson Cooper for CNN’s aptly-named “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.” The Disney Channel’s “Totally New Year” features their “Wizards of Waverly Place” cast Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, and Jennifer Stone. MTV will switch between a party in Times Square with the Veronicas and All Time Low and a Miley Cyrus concert at an Irvine, CA, high school.
On network TV, the classic “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” is back with the Jonas Brothers, will.i.am, Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo, and Lionel Richie. “New Year’s with Carson Daly” on NBC will feature Sir Elton John, Ludacris, T.I., the Ting Tings, and Katy Perry. “New Year’s Eve Live” on Fox has a lineup including Daughtry and David Cook from “American Idol” as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Scott Weiland and a stunt by daredevil Robbie Knievel.

Kardashians Go Luxe In Vegas

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian will be glamming up club LAX at the Luxor in Las Vegas when they host a party there tonight. Kim should look extra fabulous since she and BF Reggie Bush spent most of yesterday buying out Beverly Hills. Tickets are $150 while a table for four starts at $2,000.

The Boys Are Back – Together

I can’t think of anyone who’s had a rougher year than DJ AM and Travis Barker, who are still recovering from injuries sustained in a private plane crash that killed four others. But the boys are back, deejaying together for the first time since the crash, tonight at L.A.’s historic Wiltern Theater. At $150, this should be one of the hottest tickets in town tonight.
