Britney’s Dancers Drug Tested?
E! News is reporting that all of her backup dancers for Britney Spears’ upcoming 2009 “Circus” tour will be required to submit to drug tests. This isn’t much of a surprise since rumors have been going around already. A source said:
“They all had to be drug tested and, if they didn’t pass, they were fired. I think they only do it for her because she is under strict watch. I think they just want good influences around her.”
While drug testing dancers is not common practice, other acts that have gone through rehab have demanded a sober environment on their tours. After cleaning up their own act in the 80s, rockers Aerosmith insisted that the acts opening for them refrain from using alcohol or drugs backstage. This must have been really challenging for bands like Guns ‘n Roses.
Could insuring a huge tour have anything to do with this policy? Robert Baker, studio director at one of Spears’ favorite rehearsal spaces, Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, thinks so. He told E! News:
“It’s going to be a pretty big tour. They’re going to have a three-ring circus with live animals, so it’s probably stricter liability. I don’t think it’s a common practice, but each artist is different. Everyone is just trying to safeguard against any foreseeable problems.”
So there are valid reasons for weeding out substance abusers from a performer’s tour. But is this really about those reasons or just another excuse her minders can use to keep certain people away from Britney and exert more control over her life?

I would be a very irresponsible insurance salesman if I not demand this roules under this special tour, with animals and all.
Even the peopel looking for the healt of the anilmals in every country will demand that everyone is sober.
And one more thing,
The police in all countrys now check out, even the big stars, after all kinds of drugs.
The star have think before, and they was then right, but not now..”In that country there is no danger, I can do whatever I want”.
And they get busted, big time. Will not tell their names here.
Its ZERO tolerance over all. Europe is an union nowedays, have many common rules.
And one thing more.
The hotels are tired of those afterpartys..
Many peoples effort, breadwinning and future reputations depends on that their friend don’t destroy for them all.
And then its the animal. Important.

The insurance may be a factor as well as other things but for the majority of the reason it is the control issue. Its just another thing they can hold over her head. No drugs or drinks etc or no babies. Its all about control

I think it is insurance and hype. Sort of like assuring investors on the stock market.
