Brolin And Wright Get Off After Cop Brawl

Actors Josh Brolin (seen here with wife Diane Lane) and Jeffrey Wright have had the charges dismissed in their criminal case in Shreveport, LA. Brolin and Wright were srrested for interfering with a cop during a bar fight in July. All charges will be dropped if the pair can avoid running afoul of  the law before March 11. TMZ got this statement from Wright:

“These arrests should never have happened. Thankfully the prosecution was able to see that and dismiss all charges. Unfortunately, there are no winners here, but I remain hopeful that Shreveport officials will be encouraged to dig at the root causes of certain police incidents down there. An old-fashioned refusal of service led to our arrest that night, and there’s no room for that in America in 2009.”

Sounds like they have the makings of a country song about not messin’ with the po-lice down in Shreveport.
