Jake Sez “Don’t Pick Me!”

If there are two things we’d all like to avoid—but usually can’t—they’re taxes and jury duty. TMZ reports that Jake Gyllenhaal was one of the unlucky ones to get dragged into the latter and that he’s spent the day in an L.A. courtroom, hoping not to be picked as a prospective juror in a misdemeanor battery case.

Jake was trying to go incognito, slumping in a corner with his head down, after being told to remove his ball cap. Hey, we feel for ya, Jake. I spent the morning trying to convince my doctor to write me a note to the court saying I can’t serve because I’m in a coma.
