Adnan Charged

Adnan

According to TMZ, Adnan Ghalib has been charged with three Felony counts, assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and hit and run. The charges stem from a mid-February incident where process servers were trying to serve Adnan paperwork. If convicted, Adnan could serve up to 7 years in jail.

    What’s wrong with this statement??????

    http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/24/adnan-charged-with-three-felonies/

One law enforcement source says Ghalib allegedly hit the dude, who landed on the hood, and then continued driving.

The server jumped on the hood of Ghalib’s Mercedes to avoid being pinned against a trash truck.

When do the FREE ADNAN shirts come in?

    Sorry, lol, I couldn’t resist.

    This whole thing sucks.

  6. KLM Says:

looks like the cards are falling right in place.

  7. KLM Says:

march 3 is approaching fast. Wonder what else can be tackled in the next week.

  8. KLM Says:

week = the next 7 days.

  9. gigi Says:

The server broke his wrist? No one has said anything about a broken wrist. Seems to me they have added some injuries to make it look better. The guy had to jump on the hood to avoid being pinned to a garbage truck? I thought this was a really narrow alley. How did a garbage truck and a car both get down this alley? No one has said anything about a garbage truck. Sounds like a witch hunt. Poor Adnan.

  10. Amethyst Mine Says:

A broken wrist? I’m sure a paramedic could fix that on the scene.

  11. wolkenbroer Says:

Looks like the old man, Jamie’s losing the plot.
They reckon Adnan’s a threat, yeah?
Ya reckon this’ll get to court?
Might not be a good idea for Brit’s jailers.
Ya get to have ya say in a court.
Bit of a worry, that Jamie.
Alcoholics got anger and control probs.
Get up a whip round for Adnan’s defence fund.
If he wants a hand, I’ll put mine in me pocket.

  12. wolkenbroer Says:

And pull out a few $$s for ya mate.
    No worries.

  13. Amethyst Mine Says:

    MH, thanks for the links.

  14. yougotmeonlock Says:

Im concerned about his deportation if it happens. The things ppl will do for love, it’s too bad how things turn out sometimes.

  15. gigi Says:

Your right Wolk. Alcoholics do have anger and control issues. Most also have money issues. Having a daughter pay you this much to take her phones away and make sure she has no friends means you have to keep it that way so the money doesnt dry up.

If I was Britney I would pull out of the Circus at the last minute. Let them take my kids for a week or two just to prove my point. If I couldnt pull out I would just forget my dance moves some. So what I’d look crazy but since I’m really mentally ill it shouldn’t matter right?? Since I’m too looney to take care of my personal self I could really screw it up and just say I’m not ready. Then there goes pops money.

  16. Amethyst Mine Says:

Sam was originally accused of a felony but it was later reduced. IDK.

  17. gigi Says:

Yes thats true. Who knows. I think pops is just trying to make anything stick to get him away from her. Its all about the power.

  18. crymeariver2 Says:

Yeah I wonder if this is a setup. SOmething isnt right. I suspect this server is faking it or exaggerating it. Or did this on purpose

  19. meathead Says:

It’s all about the parental and legal power to keep Britney safe.

  20. yougotmeonlock Says:

parental power….yes…legal power…yes….to keep Britney safe? not so sure.

  21. meathead Says:

    On purpose.

  22. meathead Says:

Tomorrow is another big day! G’nite.

  23. Amethyst Mine Says:

It would have been nice if the AP or other reputable news source had told us Adnan had his lawyer in court yesterday.

Instead they made it seem the circumspect that Lutfi, Ghalib, and Britney Spears did not show up.

  24. KLM Says:

I read somewhere that Eardley’s lawyer was present?

Are you saying Adnan’s lawyer was present in court yesterday?

  25. small hands Says:

Such bullsh!t. Jamie Spears it will all come crashing down on you one day.

  26. Amapola Says:

The man who call Britneys mother to alarm that Britney was in a terrible and dangerous situation, now are haunted by a strange ” I love my daughter” man!

All fathers out there, daughters feel VERY inconvenient when their fathers love them overmuch!!!!!

    Disgusted.

Jamie Spear need to go on a date and cool done.
He is too hot, brain boiling.

If he think money and celibate is the way to live, it dont mean that his daughter have to live the same, not so natural life.

Feel deep disdain of his actions.

    This also smell rasim. BIG
I do hope that the law don’t let it be used to destroy Adnans life.

As wolk I wish I could do something to help Adnan, but what?

  27. Amethyst Mine Says:

    KLM, I may have misspoke.

Meanwhile, looks like those who provided declarations in support of TRO are, as Ronnie described as lurking about Adnan’s apartment:

private investigators/process servers (commandos? these are muscular guys)

and someone with, “an extensive base of experience in the forensic examination of digital evidence.”

  28. Amethyst Mine Says:

MT, you asked about the team that jumped Lutfi.

Wonder if one could tie in Sergio Kopelev, Itamar Gelbman, Ram Moskowitz, and company.

  31. Fantasy Says:

So from here Adnan will either turn himself in voluntarily or someone will spot him somewhere and alert the authorities and he’ll be found and taken into custody. The bail is asked to be set at $110,000. Right? So if has the money or something of value or can have someone to help him he needs to come up with 10% of that to bail out. Where to from there? A lawyer will need to be retained. I don’t know how long the process will take between that time and a trial. Or is it possible to avoid a trial and plea bargain? The penalty could be lesser. I don’t really know. If he could plea then (I’m poorly guessing) maybe he’d have to do 1 year in jail and then be on probation for X amount of time. These are 3 felonies charged to him. Am I making it sound too light? I don’t know if he’s had legal troubles in the past. If not then maybe things won’t be so rough for him. I’m just floating around different outcomes. I know nothing about the law or Calif. law particularly. But I sincerely wish him the best outcome. Whatever that may be. Keep the faith.

  32. Fantasy Says:

As always. Thanks for the above link, Amethyst.

  33. Amethyst Mine Says:

You’re welcome, Fantasy. LOL you have to wonder if Harriet Ryan had ever really noticed Jamie before. Doesn’t she know he always looks like that?

‘His suit jacket flapped open and his tie lay crookedly across his barrel chest. His eyes were puffy and cast down and his mouth drooped in the pronounced frown of a bulldog.’

  34. Amethyst Mine Says:

I would hope he would hold out like Britney and not plea bargain but it’s not my call and I don’t know the whole picture.

  35. gigi Says:

I want him to fight for what is right but then again I want him to do what ever is best for his well being. I’m still Team Adnan. There is no way someone will convince me that he tried to run over the prcess server. The man did it to himself somehow. Jumped in front of the car or on it trying to make him stop. He did not realize that some people do not stop just because you jump out in front of them. If I thought someone was going to pull a gun or knife or cause me bodily harm then hell no I wouldnt stop. I would just drive through them. They should have stayed out of in front of the car.

Hopefully he can get a good lawyer and get him out of this. I think the felony charges are there just to help with the TRO.

  36. Fantasy Says:

You’re too funny! I love that description of him. It’s dead on. We have to wait to see if Adnan’s offered anything worth plea bargaining to. Britney’s case was a misdemeanor. It was risky to have her case go to trial. Still it worked in her favor. Adnan’s got 3 felony charges. I’m taking these charges very seriously. As they should be. Fearing the worst and hoping for the best. If it were me, I’d take a plea bargain just to have an easier way out. I would not trust 12 people to decide my fate when I know the odds of an acquittal are super slim. Adnan won’t be as lucky as Britney was in her trial. I’m usually not so pessimistic. Like you just said it’s not my call.

  37. Amethyst Mine Says:

Fantasy. I didn’t write that. Harriet Ryan, the journalist did, but wasn’t it fitting? It’s the only imagery or sense we’ve received out of the courtroom.

Meanwhile, just looking at the TROs and still trying to answer KLM’s question. Lutfi’s TRO was extended from Jan 30, 2009 to Feb 25.

The TROs against the latter two began Feb. 23rd. So who was in the courtroom that Wexler might have served, to serve Ghalib? Sam Ingham???? Or one of the lawyers repping Lutfi and Eardley.

How could serving Sam Ingham constitute serving Adnan?

  38. Fantasy Says:

The process server didn’t go to the hospital. He’s got a broken wrist. Alledgedly. Wouldn’t that require attention from a doctor? Yeah. On Perez I just saw skinned knee and leg. No wrist pics. It doesn’t all make perfect sense to me. It was dark. The alley is narrow. But Adnan’s still able somehow to drive like a bat outta hell. Swerving his car as the guy amazingly jumps back onto the hood of the car he was thrown off of. Say what?

  39. Fantasy Says:

I know you were quoting Harriet. It’s still funny.

  40. Amethyst Mine Says:

Fantasy. If I had the best lawyer money could buy, I think I’d take my chances with no plea bargain.

Once you plea bargain to a crime you have the crime on your record and next time you get stopped for anything… you’re treated different than someone without a record, e.g. the officer who stopped you might say, “Sorry but you already have this on your record and I have to take you in.”

Ama, I would consider bias and prejudice before considering race in Los Angeles. LAPD is a rainbow tribe but you never know. I would be more concerned by Adnan’s prior profession or current profession based on declaration by Jamie Spears.

Mark and others have been trying to tell us all along about how things work in L.A. and where the paparazzi stand in the network. They are expendable, blamable, don’t have a voice. That’s called playing the P-Card, not the Aghanistan card or the color of Adnan’s skin.

He’s a paparazzo in their eyes. He is otherwise British and a permanent citizen through green card status unless he ends up in the hands of cruel and corrupted people.

That’s my belief anyway and if it is far off base I’m sure MT will throw me to the wall and correct me.

  41. Amethyst Mine Says:

Oh ok, Fantasy. Didn’t want to take credit. How did you like his shoulders hanging and buckets of of cement on them?

In my dreams a judge is currently saying, “The court would like to see Britney Spears.”

  42. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Per Mark, Feb 2008.

‘In the paparazzi world, we are all bad in everyones eyes.’

    Not anymore Mark.

  43. Amethyst Mine Says:

Beat you to it MH. :) It’s not a competition.

  44. Fantasy Says:

Harriet makes him out to look so pitiful. “Bulldog frown.” Damn. When you word it like that I almost take pity on the old fella. His life has been one of pain and tragedy. You know his mom was depressed and her baby died and she couldn’t bare go on with her life and committed suicide when Jamie was a teenager. Maybe she always had a struggle with depression which grew deeper as she gave birth to her children. That could have been what led Jamie to drink for all those years. He doesn’t want to lose Britney like he lost his mom. That could also explain why he’s adamant that Britney does as told. From what I’ve read Jamie wasn’t always there for his family. When he was there it still wasn’t what it should have been. I think the pain and loss he suffered as a young boy led him to the bottle. He took out his rage and anger of his mom’s suicide on Lynne and the kids. It was wrong. But that’s how he dealt with his emotions. Now it’s like he’s trying to turn back the clock and be the dad he should’ve been long years ago. I can understand that. Britney,Bryan and Jamie Lynn and their parents all should be in therapy together. Jamie’s still got issues from his childhood. Britney has issues from hers. I feel sad too now just thinking about it. I don’t even know this family. But I feel sorry about all the pain. Generation after generation. The cycle continues. Shit, now I need a drink.

  45. Amethyst Mine Says:

    Moving to new thread.

  46. Amethyst Mine Says:

Fantasy. I’ll see you over there I think.

I think being in command of Britney has garnered him the first sense of importance and respect in decades.
