Note to jewelers—don’t lend anything to Jennifer Lopez if you want it returned. Page Six reports that Robert Mouawad lent Jenny-from-the-block $50,000 worth of diamonds to attend the launch of Andrea Lieberman’s fashion line, ALC, at Barneys in Beverly Hills last week. Also wearing loaned gems from the Swiss jeweler were Gwen Stefani, Leah Remini and Ellen Pompeo. All three returned theirs when the show was over, but J.Lo didn’t. An insider told Page Six:

“We received a call from [her manager] Benny Medina, informing us that Jennifer was going to keep the jewelry. As far as Mr. Mouawad is concerned, Jennifer can have whatever she wants, but a premature demand seemed presumptuous.”

More like grabby to the max. But the jeweler seems to have decided to get $50,000 worth of publicity out of the situation by making it public. The source stated “Mr. Mouawad is the Swiss billionaire who purchased the 60-carat flawless Mondera Diamond for $50 million. He will lose no sleep over $50,000, and frankly, Jennifer’s endorsement is priceless.”

If you call keeping anything you can get your hands on an “endorsement.” She may have that ice up on eBay next week. Just don’t send her a baby buggy. Her endorsement for that could cost you more than 50 grand.
