Ashlee’s New Address – “Melrose Place”

Actress/singer/new mom Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will be busier than ever this year as she’s been added to the cast of the CW’s update of the 90s series “Melrose Place.”

The Hollywood Reporter says Simpson-Wentz will play Violet, “a bright-eyed but shrewd small-town girl and recent L.A. transplant who has come to town with a secret.” The character of Violet is expected to be similar to the original series’ Sandy Harling, played by Amy Locane.

We can also see Ashlee and rocker hubby Pete Wentz when they guest-star on the March 18 episode of “CSI: NY,” as would-be Bonnie-and-Clydes. Let’s hope her acting is better than her singing.
