No Kid Stuff For Chris

Chris Brown has finally made a smart move. We’re sure his high-priced team of lawyers and spin doctors had to think of it for him, because he obviously has manure for brains and the sensitivity of a fence post, but at least it’s a good idea for his “image.”

Chris was dumb enough to solicit votes for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on the same day he was charged with two felonies in the beat-down of his GF Rihanna, which probably helped fuel the heat put on the network to drop him from consideration. Nickelodeon declined to remove Brown from the ballot but today his spokesperson released this statement:

“Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated. While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time. Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so.”

Of course, this is just another effort by Team Brown to make Chris look like a good guy who doesn’t need to go to jail. Yeah, really. The show goes on without Chris Brown on March 28 in Los Angeles.
