Will Adnan Be Deported?
The legal problems for Britney Spears’ former boyfriend keep growing. The London Daily Mail reports that Adnan Ghalib could be facing not only a prison sentence but being deported to war-torn Afghanistan.
Ghalib faces three assault charges—assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and battery—which can carry up to a seven-year prison sentence. The charges stem from an incident on February 11 when a court official trying to to serve him with a restraining order to stay away from Spears was allegedly struck by Ghalib’s car. He has pleaded innocent, is out on bail and returns to court for a hearing April 2.
There is some confusion as to Ghalib’s nationality, as some legal papers list his country of origin as Afghanistan, another names Great Britain. He moved to the U.S. from Afghanistan when he was five years old.
A source from the Los Angeles police told People News, ”The country of citizenship listed on the legal files is where someone convicted of a serious crime will be deported to whether they hold a green card or not.”
Obviously, felony assault is a serious crime but we can’t know in advance whether a deal will be made for Ghalib to plead guilty to a lesser charge, or if he will be convicted of anything. That will have to wait until he gets his chance to defend himself in court.

I cannot believe how awful Adnan looked to appear in court. This look is not flattering on him. When he gels his hair up your eyes look up and with his hair hanging down and unkept as it appears here, it really accentuates his busted up nose. And he just looks like a hoodlum.
I also cannot believe that I had to register to leave that lame-ass comment either. However, I have enjoyed your site for quite awhile, so I guess I was due (to register that is).
Now someone please tell me what I’m missing regarding this guy. I thought he was the one who initially came between Brit and Lufti or whatever his name is. I thought Adnan was the guy who notified the family that outside help was needed. What have I missed along the way that makes him an enemy in the same douchbag boat as Lufti?
Is it because he’s a womanizer and played Brit like he will play any woman alive? Is that what started it?
Just wondering… because this is confusing me.

Something fishy are going on against Adnan, that’s for sure.
People who can speak and know about the US law system can have more outspoken opinons, I can just say that something is not correspond in the allegaitions against Adnan
Three well trained man, no beginners, fall to pieces when they delivered a paper?
This started with Jamie Spears “belives” and because there was no thruth in his belives, they arranged this to hit Adnan.
It´s a shame.
And it horrible and unfair done by the Spears family.

What I cannot understand is why people think negatively about Adnan at all. What has he gained from being Britney’s one-time boyfriend? He can no longer support himself doing his profession. He has gained nothing by helping her and being with her. So, why is he so awful? He has never sold her out. There was never a sex tape. He hasn’t done anything that would look like he is a bad person. I try to think of what I would know about him if it were not for this forum. If I was just a regular everyday person who only saw what the mass media fed me. I think I would barely know his name really. I think I would see oh that is the guy that used to be a pap and dated Britney. I would be thinking why does he keep coming up? It has been forever since they dated. I wouldn’t be thinking he is some kind of monster. Now Sam, he still stands out. But, Adnan has done nothing but lay low.
As far as being deported and being convicted etc. Adnan has not yet had a day in court. I have seen people be charged, tried, and convicted by the public before they step foot in that court room. Walking in their with representation and good representation at that is like walking in with a bullet-proof vest on. It feels good to have someone standing up for you. When he finally gets that day in court and can be properly defended, I think we will really see a lot of this bullshit go away. Adnan is damn patient person to be letting al this stuff go on!!
My only fear right now is that Jamie is going to once again threaten Britney with her kids unless she goes along with the anti-Adnan campaign. In addition, I think he will use the deportation thing to his advantage as well. Imagine Britney picturing Adnan in “war-torn Afghanistan”. Even if it is not something that is likely to happen, Jamie can convince her that it could and she would be very fearful for Adnan in that case. She may be so fearful that she says ok I will never speak to him again if he can just stay safe in the US.

I watched the live stream at TMZ but couldn’t clearly hear the reporter asking the A.G. about a similar case.

I want everything to go well for Adnan. It just might. He’s got one of the best lawyers in the area. I wish him a lot of luck with his legal stuff, etc. I’d like for him to know that there are people who support him and wants only good things for him.
BTW, Does anyone know what happened at Britney’s c-ship account($$$) report hearing that was due by today? Any leaks? And what happened at court this afternoon with Jamie’s lawyers? Fill me in if you can.

The jdg. wanted an account report, I think on Britney’s finances, before or on today. Today was the deadline. It may have already taken place. Next c-ship status hearing is set for April 6. Britney will be in Canada doing a show that night.

Yes. That’s how it was worded. Quote-”Commissioner Goetz ordered an accounting report of Britney’s finances to be given no later than March 13,2009, for another status hearing on April 6,2009.” Even though the c-ship is perm. there’s still status report hearings. I guess it’s the courts way of staying on top of Britney’s condition and her financial issues. I don’t understand why the commish doesn’t ever order Britney to appear and hear directly from her how she feels things are going. Instead it’s lame ass attorneys representing her and speaking on her behalf. Not to mention her dad. To me, there’s no harm in her going to the status hearings. The c-ship is about her and her money. She should be apart of every aspect of the c-ship process. It’s as clear as day that she’s competent and more than able to attend court. She’s being F’d over.

I think the same yet every time Ingham comes up with some reason why she can’t be in court. The way it is worded for the 6th sounds like a status on accounting, not c-ship.

Despite reports claiming Adnan Ghalib is in jeopardy of being deported to Afghanistan after being charged with assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and battery, sources reveal to BreatheHeavy.com this is not true.
“Adnan is infact a citizen of the United States,” said the source. “He has lived here for over 10 years and became an official citizen in 2006. Also, if deportation were an option, he would be returned to Britian.”
“As for the charges, with the seriousness of them, I would have assumed he would have just left the country but he can’t really go home,” continued the source.

Ghalib hit a process-server with his car back in February after attempting to avoid being served legal papers regarding the restraining order by Jamie Spears on behalf of Britney.

Hi, Amethyst. I’m back. As for yesterday’s court report, you really would have to be there to have real insight as to what really occured. When I came to this thread I didn’t want to even try to get into the whole deportation thing. It’s a touchy subject to begin with. And mainly, if I’m correct, that story originated from the UK’s Daily Mail. They print garbage regularly. Naive ole me didn’t think that the story would take off like it did. It’s good to read that it’s not true. Fortunately.

R Murdoch press, who owns (at least a year ago) about 25% of all gossip media in the western world, do work like this.
He is the one who put the standard of the kind of s*** people get in the papers.
He have said: If people buy the papers, and dont protest, why do care if its true or not.
(Look for a documentary about R Murdoch, and listen to him yourself. Scary, very scary.)

I’m not surprised about the bloom phenomena of the deportation story. Negative Adnan news sells but you know that. Certain personalities gravitate to and feed those types of stories.
I am not one of them.
By the by, the query about similarities to Smith’s case, came from a reporter asking about Heath Ledger, not Britney Spears.
Thank you to an attending reporter who reported on the Smith case. Otherwise, the AD’s office would have answered.

Paraphrased, they said to call journalists on their bullshit. The officers are often misquoted. Some of them call the journalists themselves, “You misquoted me here. Where did you get this information?”
I just got the Google alerts. The latest traceable story on Adnan began in an area outside of Liverpool, England.
How funny Nosey popping in and thinking they were reporting it there too but then she didn’t have the early heads up as to news being seeded about Adnan in England. The news volleyed back to here and voila, US media coverage.
Did it come from Lou Taylor or another money maker? I’ll peek at Murdoch, thank you. Didn’t you mention him earlier this year?

Are people supposed to be distracted into thinking that if Britney is being held prisoner, it’s not bad because her dad is making her read the bible?
Seems to be how the U.S. tabloids are shaping the bible story. They are rationalizing that being forced to read the bible is better having Britney go batty again.

MH, Thanks for posting that.
While I have to agree with the majority of what Ma and Pa’s lawyers are saying in those documents…I have to wonder what would happen if they applied that same logic back towards the original Declarations that were filed in Feb ‘08.
It all seems to be awfully one-sided. It’s okay if The Machine uses “scurrilous” language, but if anyone does it to them, the claws come out and the lawyers file their papers.
It’s a bit of a metaphor for the world we live in these days. Corporations rule the world, while the little guy doesn’t get a chance to have a say. (Unfortunately, the little guy in this case is the Weasel himself. But still).
As for the TRO’s, I haven’t had a chance to read those docs yet. Hopefully soon.

I’d call this a “blessing in disguise.”
I hope she realizes just what she’s done…!! And I hope she remembers all of this when the conservatorship is lifted. There are some big amends that need to be made. My two cents.

This will sound so Jr. High School of me, but what about Sam Lutfi? The hearing was to involve Sam’s TRO as well. Eardley’s hearing is set for early April. Do you guys feel that the conservatorship will also go on for 3 more years?

The public *already* hates Sam, so perhaps there’s a connection there (to the TMZ story and the Spears camp). Who knows.
