Paris’ Stolen Phone Turns Up – On CraigsList

People try to sell all kinds of weird stuff on CraigsList—but you’d better be sure your merch isn’t hot before putting up your ad.

RadarOnline reports NYC hotel manager Marc Marrouche was busted March 5 for trying to get $5,000 for a cell phone stoler from Paris Hilton. The phone was snatched while the heiress was partying at the club Marquee in 2005. (Does it still work? Isn’t the battery dead by now?)

Marrouche’s ex-girlfriend reportedly found the phone and turned it over to hotel management. Why did this guy wait so log to sell it? Who knows? But when he did try to move it, his “customer” turned out to be an undercover cop. Oops! Marrouche could be facing a year in jail. And probably won’t get hired to manage another hotel.

Paris told RadarOnline, “That was my private property. I can’t believe someone would try and sell my phone on Craigs List. I feel violated.” Don’t worry—you’re probably no longer speaking to most of the people you knew in 2005 anyway.
