It would be a good thing for Rihanna if they had but it looks like their separation is only temporary.

E! reports the embattled couple are spending time apart—at different ends of the country. Rihanna has been relaxing with friends in NYC while Brown is in the recording studio in L.A. A source told E!, “He’s just putting ideas down for some songs he wrote. He needs to feel like he’s moving forward.”

A genuine apology and some real treatment for his problems would be a better way of “moving forward.”
