Tom’s Sticky Fingers

Tom Sizemore seemed to be staying out of trouble lately, but we knew that wouldn’t last. Now the formerly incarcerated actor is being investigated for a bizarre mini-heist.

TMZ reports Sizemore and another man were caught on tape lifting several cell phones from a Verizon Wireless store in L.A. last week. He was also taped lifting a pen and a highlighter. Tom’s lawyer says his client is “innocent until proven guilty.” Which sounds susoiciously like “Yeah, he did it, but I can plea bargain it down to probation if he pays my bill.”

Who bothers to steal a cell phone? They don’t work unless you pay the company to activate them. If you don’t, they’re paperweights. And you can always get a free one by signing a contract. How dumb is he?
