Miley Answers Suit
Remember that silly lawsuit filed against Miley Cyrus by some wacko wanting $4,000 in damages for every Asian-Pacific Islander who was “harmed” by that infamous eye-slanting photo?
RadarOnline reports attorneys for Cyrus filed a document referred to as a “request for judicial notice in support of demurrers” in an L.A. court on March 10, stating, “As admitted by Plaintiff in her Complaint, Defendant [Cyrus] did not intend to discriminate.” The lawyers also dismiss the complaints as “frivolous” and state that the claims “lack standing.”
There will be a hearing on April 24, 2009, in which this ridiculous case will hopefully get shot down permanently. And it would be nice to see this attention-monger be forced to pay court costs for both sides. That might discourage future suits against celebs because the popcorn was cold at their movie or you had to stand in line for the bathroom during their concert.
