Hayden Wants To Dance

While it’s not yet official that “Gossip Girl” actor Chace Crawford will step into Kevin Bacon’s dancing shoes for the remake of “Footloose,” a certain TV actress already wants to be his partner.
E! News reports “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere has auditioned for the part of Ariel, and sources say she wowed the filmmakers with her singing. ”They were really impressed. No one realized what a good singer she is.”
The next step will likely be a dance audition with Crawford, but this casting is no done deal. “Dancing with the Stars” beauty/country songbird Julianne Hough is also interested, and she can dance rings around practically anyone else.

How Rebecca Dropped Her Baby Weight

Actress/model Rebecca Romijn is almost down to her pre-pregnancy weight only four months after giving birth to twins—but she says she hasn’t been near a gym!
The “Ugly Betty” star revealed to Extra her secret to losing 60 pounds of baby weight was breastfeeding twins Charlie and Dolly. “It’s like you have to eat 5,000 extra calories a day or you can’t produce enough food for them. So, that’s been fun as well.”
The new mom says the weight came off really fast. ”I think within the first three weeks, I took off like 35 lbs. without doing anything! I haven’t been able to work out that much because I have twins. It’s impossible to get back into a regular schedule.”
Maybe you will, Rebecca—in 18 years when they go off to college.

Will Heidi Strip For Playboy?

Most new brides won’t be getting naked for anyone except their new spouses, but Heidi Montag can’t keep anything private.
E! News reports the media-loving newlywed will celebrate her marriage to Spencer Pratt by appearing on the July/August cover of Playboy magazine. Sources claim “The Hills” star will keep her naughty bits discreetly covered on the accompanying layout.
I have this horrible vision of Heidi dressed (barely) in a bridal Halloween costume from Frederick’s of Hollywood. Although dollar bills glued over the offending areas would be more appropriate.

O.J. Ordered To Pay

Finally, a victim of O.J. Simpson’s violence will get payback—and he’s alive to enjoy it.
The AP reports a judge has ruled Simpson and his five other convicted co-defendants must pay $3,560 to collectibles dealer Bruce Fromong as restitution for their part in the 2007 robbery that landed the disgraced footballer behind bars. The six had previously been ordered to pay Fromong’s medical bills for the injuries he allegedly suffered in the robbery and assault.
If The Juice can’t scrape together the cash, he can always sell his golf clubs, since he won’t be hitting the links anytime soon.

Will Betty Lose The Braces?

“Ugly Betty” has been on the air for three seasons now, and for that entire time, Betty Suarez, played by America Ferrera, has sported a mouthful of shiny metal. Aren’t her teeth straight yet?
Series creator Silvio Horta spilled the beans to EW on what viewers can expect from upcoming eps of “Betty”—including the future of her smile. “Her braces will be off by the end of next season. Next year, there’s going to be a progression in her look overall. It’ll still be Betty, but you’ll see some growth in that direction.”
This certainly sounds like a step in the right direction. Given how long Betty’s been working for Mode, she must have developed some fashion sense by now.
