Kevin Jonas Engaged!

That chorus of anguished screams you heard this afternoon were not in reaction to a horrible accident—just tweens getting the heartbreaking news that a Jonas Brother has been taken off the market.

People revealed 21-year-old eldest JoBro Kevin Jonas is now engaged to Danielle Deleasa, a 22-year-old former hairdresser who has been dating the star for two years. Jonas surprised his love by popping the question after returning to New Jersey from a concert in Vancouver.  He told People, “It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world.”

Parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. released this statement: ”Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family’s celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Fans can take comfort in the fact that younger bros Joe and Nick are still available, and youngest Jonas sib Frankie will be old enough to date in a few more years.
