Papa Joe Won’t Play Grandpa

This has to be considered good news, but I wonder how true it will be in the long run. The AP reports that Joe Jackson will not interfere with the raising of his late son Michael’s kids.

The elder Jackson statement filed a statement in a Los Angeles court claiming that he now lives in Las Vegas and only occasionally visits the family compound in Encino, CA. Joe Jackson calls estranged wife Katherine, who was granted custody of Michael’s three children, “a wonderful caretaker and guardian.”

This sounds like great PR on old Joe’s part, but I have to wonder how long he’ll stay out of the grandkids’ lives when there’s money involved.
