Britney Joins Russell For VMA Promo

Now we know what a bikini-clad Britney Spears was doing by the pool at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey earlier this month. In a new promo for MTV’s Video Music Awards, Britney and host Russell Brand get inside each other’s heads.

The singer muses, “I wonder if he’ll invite me. I mean, I can obviously get an invite, but it would be nice for Russell to invite me personally, now that we’re friends and all.” Brand wonders if he offended her last year, since—let’s face it—he offended practically everybody. The two go back and forth until Brand tries to send the message that’s really in his head.  “Britney, this is the voice of your mind. Go to Russell’s hotel room and abandon yourself. Give yourself to him, Britney. Sleep with Russell!”

The Video Music Awards air live from New York City on September 13.
