There are plenty of cool places to ring in the New Year tonight, and Hollywood will be jumping! One of the hottest tickets of the evening is bound to be the Gridlock New Year’s Eve Party at Paramount Studios. Pamela Anderson will host, Adam Lambert will perform and 19 DJs will keep the music coming!
If you plan to do some serious drinking, the bash at Beso will have an open bar, with lots of the Spanish cuisine Eva Longoria Parker’s restaurant is famous for. E!’s Jason Kennedy will host, but don’t count on Eva showing up in person, since she’s opening her Eve nightclub in Vegas tonight.

This is where it all began! That big ball will be dropping over Times Square one more time, and Ryan Seacrest will be on hand to count it down for us as he hosts “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” Daughtry and Jennifer Lopez will be performing during the televised special.
If freezing your buns off outside Times Square doesn’t appeal to you, get cozy with celeb couple Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon at M2 Ultra Lounge or sip champagne at China Club with Danielle Staub from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Kelly Killoren Bensimon from “The Real Housewives of New York City” is hosting Joonbug.com’s Guastavino’s New Year’s Eve 2010, while “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester will preside over Dusk, inside Caesars Palace in Atlantic City.
You can bet the city that never sleeps will be rocking all night long! Happy New Year, everybody!

There will be enough star power in Las Vegas tonight to light up the Strip! One of the hottest places to be is the LAVO Nightclub inside Palazzo Las Vegas, where Nicole Ritchie will host while her guy Joel Madden DJs. This is also a great spot to view the fireworks that will blaze across the Nevada sky at midnight.
Christina Aguilera will be holding forth at Tao Las Vegas inside The Venetian, Pete Wentz will be doing his thing at Jet Nightclub inside The Mirage PURE, while 50 Cent will keep things rolling at Nightclub inside Caesars Palace. Eva Longoria Parker will be hosting the opening of her new nightclub Eve inside Crystals at CityCenter, with an open bar from 8-11 PM.
If you want to hear some live music, the Black Eyed Peas will be rocking LAX Nightclub while the John Mayer Trio does the same at The Joint Inside The Hard Rock Hotel. With all this going on, who needs gambling?

Nicole Hits The “Runway”

She’s a fashion icon with her own lines of clothing and jewelry, so Nicole Richie’s a natural for this gig! The designer mom will be the guest host for the season premiere of “Project Runway,” set to air on Lifetime January 14.
The show’s executive producer Sara Rea told People: “Nicole is a fabulous guest judge. She has strong opinions and gives clear and specific constructive criticism to the designers. Also, she isn’t afraid to disagree with the other judges.” That should make for an interesting show!

Drink Up With Gwyneth

Again proving she’s better than the rest of us, actress Gwyneth Paltrow shared recipes for highbrow cocktails in her GOOP newsletter. Here are her directions for a Dirty Martini for Two. You can check out her Everyman’s Sidecar and Irish Meow on her site.
“The Best Dirty Martini For Two Cocktails:
* lots of ice * 6 ounces of your favorite vodka * 1 cap’s worth of extra dry vermouth (I like Martini & Rossi) * 1 tablespoon of cocktail olive brine * 6 high quality cocktail olives (preferably stuffed with pimentos)
Fill your shaker with ice and add the vodka, vermouth and olive brine. Close it tightly and shake it for ages until it’s all snowy on the outside. Place 3 olives into the bottom of a martini glass, strain over half of your icy cold mixture and repeat with the remaining olives and mixture in another glass. Give one to a lucky friend.
Reading anything from this snotty chick gives me urge to pop open a cold PBR and a sack of pork rinds while watching a rerun of “My Name is Earl.”
