Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have a lot to celebrate this New Year’s—their marriage in May, the new album by Fall Out Boy and their brand-new baby boy Bronx. The couple will be bringing in 2009 hosting a party at the club Pure inside Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. We hear the $200 tickets aren’t selling that well but this bash is bound to outdraw the one by maybe-weds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt at Treasure Island’s Christian Audigier the Nightclub.

Despite claims that they’ve been “inundated” by offers to buy the first photo of their baby Bronx Mowgli, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz showed off their little one on the Fall Out Boy website FriendsorEnemies.com yesterday. The couple wrote, “We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz. We couldn’t be happier.”
Well, maybe they’d be happier if Papa Joe had been able to get them Brangelina-type bucks for that shot.
Pete Denies Baby Pic Rumors

Posting to his blog today, Pete Wentz denied the reports that nobody wants to buy photos of Bronx Mowgli, his baby son by wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Pete opines:
“ring, ring, it’s the truth calling…
About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.”
Pete also says junior looks “like his mommy.” Mommy now or before plastic surgery?

Rocker Pete Wentz has had his share of good times but says the birth of Bronx Mowgli Wentz, his son with wife Ashlee Simpson, has tamed his wild side. He told Details magazine how he felt when he found out Ashlee was pregnant.
“I was definitely scared. just thinking, This is something that’s going to exist for the rest of your life and you can’t (bleep) it up.”
Wentz admits the baby was unplanned but certainly not unwelcome.
“It was a happy accident. But I think that certain things happen for a reason in your life, and maybe it was time to put the wild child in a cage.”
It’s A Boy For Ashlee And Pete!

After what seems like the world’s longest pregnancy, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz finally gave birth to a boy last night at Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. The long-awaited little sprout weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20½ inches. Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz named the kid Bronx Mowgli Wentz but he won’t have to worry about classmates making fun of him because they’ll all have names like Shiloh and Zuma. Ashlee’s rep told E! News last night:
“Proud new parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed new son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, late this evening. Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”
Of course, what they’re really thinking is “Thank God that’s over!”
