Ashley & Pete Engaged!

A couple that wears eyeliner together, stays together. That’s always been my motto. Sorta’. Well, a big congratulations goes out to Ashely Simpson and Pete Wents, who just announced their engagement. Ashley posted about the happy news to her fans on friendsorenemies.com. Papa Joe, People Magazine reports, is very happy about the news and said that he’s happy to have Pete become a part of their family. Well, isn’t that just lovely? These two have been going strong for a while now and they do seem like a good match. Just as long as they don’t star in any MTV reality shows together, I think they’ll do just fine.

There’s been various reports that Pete Wentz and Ashley Simpson are now engaged. Judging from the picture above, Ashley sure did want us to photograph that ring and help spread the rumor a bit. I wouldn’t be at all surprised by this. Ashley does have a new album coming out and according to her, she was one upped by the Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy news when her new crappy music video was released a couple weeks ago. I can imagine Papa Joe telling Ashley, ‘Look, all these people are getting engaged and they’re getting great press! Now you won’t have to officially get engaged, just blatantly show off a new ring on your ring finger and everyone will start talking. If this doesn’t work, just gain some weight and we’ll see if we can get some pregnancy rumors started!”
