Barb Wins, Rosie Loses In Ratings
Friday, November 28th, 2008
No doubt a lot of folks were too busy stuffing their turkeys or retrieving relatives from the airport to turn on the TV Wednesday night but Barbara Walters did succeed in luring 11.5 million viewers to her her ABC interview special at 10 p.m. Of course, it helped that she had as her guest President-elect Barack Obama. Walters’ former “View”-mate Rosie O’Donnell didn’t fare as well earlier in the evening. Her NBC variety show “Rosie Live” drew a measly 5 million viewers, even less than “Knight Rider” draws in the same 8 p.m. slot. This should prove once and for all that the variety show format is dead and “The Ed Sullivan Show” won’t be back.

Cruise Makes Walters’ “Most Fascinating” List
Thursday, November 13th, 2008
Barbara Walters just released part of her list of the “10 Most Fascinating People” of 2008 and Tom Cruise is on it. I can’t imagine why since he hasn’t done anything the least bit interesting, let alone fascinating, in years. The only thing “fascinating” about Tommyboy is that we’re still talking about him. Others on the list make more sense, like Michael Phelps, Tina Fey, Rush Limbaugh, Will Smith and Miley Cyrus. They’re all still working. We’ll have to wait for the December 4 show on ABC to find out the other four, including who made number one. My bet’s on a guy with the initials B.H.O.

Barbara, La Sancha
Thursday, May 1st, 2008Barbara, aka BahBwah, Walters is opening up about her racy past. Who knew Barbara was such a little tart? The Associated Press is reporting that Barbara had an affair with married Republican U.S. Senator Edward Brooke in the ’70s and remembered hims as “exciting” and “brilliant”. The confession came by way of an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show scheduled to air next Tuesday. The two had an affair that lasted several years. Senator Brooke is the first African-American who was popularly voted to the Senate. Yes, not only was Barbara la sancha, but homegirl also had jungle fever. Good times! I’m not surprised by this at all. Barbara’s at that age and has enough fame to disclose something like this. Expect Oprah to have her own confessions in about ten years. I’m so tuning in to this episode. I’m definitely looking forward to Barbara and Oprah on the same stage. Two Alpha Females chatting is so much fun to watch.
