Divorce Schmorce

Who said these two were getting a divorce? Silly people! Our photogs caught up with the Garner-Affleck family this weekend after they had breakfast at Early World restaurant in Brentwood. Despite all the break-up rumors, Ben recently told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that family life is “pretty great.” And he added: “We’re very happy. Things couldn’t be better. We’re kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home.” Sounds good to me. Ben and Jen were also spotted this weekend going on a double date with Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana. They were possibly celebrating Ben and Jen’s third wedding anniversary (which was on Sunday). Good times. No divorce news this morning for Jen and Ben then. And that’s how my sappy little self likes it. Check out more photos of the fam below.
Surf’s Up

Our photogs caught a very zen-looking Ben Affleck pumping gas yesterday in the Brentwood area. Ben got himself a little Starbucks treat before he spent his next movie’s salary on the pump and it looked like he might have wanted to be somewhere else. Yeah, join the club, Benny. Wearing a Hanelei Surf Shop shirt, Ben was probably dreaming of the Hawaiian islands while his car was drinking up that gasoline. Again, join the club, Benny. I wonder if folks who live in Hawaii wish they were somewhere else. Hmm, probably not. They’re too busy enjoying the waves. I myself can’t see this Boston baby on the surfs, but if the Celtics can beat the Lakers, then Ben can be a beach bunny. Why the hell not, right? Why the hell not.
Benny And The Errands

Our lovely photogs spotted a very scruffy-looking Ben Affleck running errands in Pasadena this weekend. I kind of like the scruff on Benny; it makes him look more…manly? Not that he doesn’t look manly when clean-shaven, but this grungy resurrection look he’s going with these days is growing on me. Just as much as his beard is growing on him. Yes, I know that sort of made sense, but it really doesn’t. My apologies. Back to Benny. Casey Affleck’s older brother recently admitted to the media that his younger sib is much cooler than him. Well, that’s definitely up for discussion, but I’ll have to concur with Ben on this one. Casey might be cooler than Ben, but Ben will always have Jimmy Kimmel. And that, dear people, is a cool award in itself.
Family Time

Why the long face, Ben Affleck? Your Celtics just won the NBA Finals and Barack Obama already secured the Democratic nomination. Best of all, you have two beautiful ladies smiling pretty with you. So what gives? Well, I don’t know why Ben was pouting yesterday when our photogs spotted him and his ladies lunching in Brentwood, but I’ll just chalk it up to a tummy ache or something. Maybe he ate a bit too much and he had gas, hence the constipated look. Who knows. Thank goodness Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet are balancing the vibes with their big old smiles, or else you’d be looking at a very unhappy family. Violet is adorable, isn’t she? Adorable. Boston Baby

At least this guy woke up in a good mood this morning. I bet he’s still got his Celtics shirt on. Since I posted about the Lakers last night and put up a picture of Jack Nicholson, the number one Laker fan, I thought it would be fair to put up a Bostonian, and a known sports fan. Ben Affleck is the ultimate Boston fan. He wears Red Sox gear freely and although I haven’t seen him in green and white, I’m sure he high-fived some folks last night as the Celtics beat up on my Lakers. It’s okay, though. Game 2 is on Sunday and I know my boys will be ready. Until then, enjoy your team’s win, Ben Affleck.
