Their family just got bigger, so Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner have purchased a bigger spread for themselves and daughters Violet and Serafina.

RadarOnline reports the A-list couple will be moving into producer Brian Grazer’s former home in Pacific Palisades, which was listed for $24 million. The mansion has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and four fireplaces, a separate building containing an art studio, office, and a gym, plus a guest house.

That’s lot of house! Could Ben and Jen be planning on adding more kids to their brood in the future?

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner picked up adorable daughter Violet from her pre-school in Santa Monica Friday. How soon are we going to see her baby sister Serafina?

Violet Affleck was picked up from pre-school by doting parents Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck in Santa Monica yesterday. Violet must be such a joy for her family—she always looks so happy and precious. Jennifer’s certainly getting back into shape quickly after the birth of baby Serafina last month.

On his way to drop off  his darling little Violet at her school, Ben Affleck took a minute to stop and tell a rookie paparazzo not to follow too closely and give him some space in Brentwood, CA. 

With a little assist from the Santa Monica P.D., Ben Affleck picked up his precious little Violet from school yesterday. Then the two joined mom Jennifer Garner for a family dinner at Blue Plate restaurant on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica. Baby Seraphina Rose stayed home with her nanny.

Outspoken activist Ben Affleck would do most anything to make the inauguration of Barack Obama on Tuesday. At his Feeding America hunger rally today in Washington, D.C., he told Usmagazine.com: 

“I’m going to camp out. I’ll bring a tent — and a heater!”

Affleck has worked to aid the needy in the Congo and has high hopes for help in this area from the new president.

“I’m hoping he’ll pay a good amount of attention to Africa, I’m very optimistic that it’ll be a higher priority than it was in the Bush administration.

As a filmmaker, I hope to continue to make movies and documentaries about this, and I hope people will watch them and become more aware and passionate about it themselves.”

Keep the good thoughts coming, Ben. We need them.

We don’t know whether little Violet Affleck asked mommy and daddy for a baby sister or brother this Christmas but that’s what she’s getting for the New Year. People reports that Jennifer Garner, accompanied by husband Ben Affleck, was seen entering Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning. There has been no statement from the couple but from the way Jennifer’s looked lately, it can’t be long now. Best wishes and a happy 2009 to this family!

Jennifer Garner dropped by daughter Violet’s school in Santa Monica yesterday to pick her up. Vi’s growing like crazy and so is mom—Garner and hubby Ben Affleck will be giving the adorable tot a sister or brother in 2009.

Ben Affleck is on his fourth trip to the war-torn nation of Congo in Africa to bring attention to the nation’s plight. The actor and filmmaker, who has made a documentary on the ongoing problems of the Congo, is there to tour refugee camps and consult with aid workers. He told People magazine:

“I’m not an expert in international affairs or diplomacy, but it doesn’t take that to see the tremendous suffering here. It’s not something that we as human beings can, in good conscience, ignore. … My hope in being here is primarily to bring attention to the fact that there’s a real lack of [assistance agencies] here, a real lack of money going to these folks.

“I think that, for better or worse, people with some profile in the arts have some currency to spend as celebrities. And for a time, I didn’t spend that in any particularly productive way. And I got to a point where I thought, this is wasteful.”

You can’t argue with that. It’s nice to see a big name get personally involved with a cause instead of just writing a check.

Ben Affleck was recently quoted on his former relationship with Jennifer Lopez and the Bennifer madness that ensued. He said:

“I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible. I don’t think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own.”

Jennifer Lopez seems to have finally learned from her past mistakes in love. She addressed The Women’s Conference today in Long Beach, CA, and stated “I have been in a few challenging ones.” Hmm, like which ones? The one with P. Diddy that got you arrested or the one with Ben Affleck that sank your career? She continued, “I have been in relationships that can make you doubt who you are and what you’re capable of and doubt what you deserve. It took me a bit longer to get it right.” Yeah, I guess two divorces in less than ten years ought to teach you something.

Seriously, Violet Affleck has got to be the happiest little tyke in Hollywood. She is ALWAYS smiling. Always. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck must be doing an amazing job with this little one. The mom and daughter duo bought a bunch of balloons for the main man in their life, who’s celebrating his 36th birthday tomorrow. Ben and Jen just bought a new $16 million home with even more room for their growing brood. Jen’s supposed to be in her fifth month of pregnancy, so there should be a new baby by the year’s end for the Afflecks. Seriously, if they have a dog and white picket-fence, they can be the cutest family in Hollywood (next to Gwen, Gavin and Kingston, of course). Here’s one of our favorite pregnant celebs, Jennifer Garner, spotted leaving her friend’s house yesterday in Brentwood. Violet was nowhere to be found, but it looks like Jen borrowed her daughter’s cute barrettes. Interesting choice of accessories. As I posted earlier, Jennifer Garner just bought a home with husband Ben Affleck. Jen, who is reportedly five months pregnant, will have a lot of choices on which room her newborn gets to inhabit. The $16 million mansion has seven bedrooms. Holy, guacamole! Jen can be currently seen in a Neutrogena ad campaign, which touts her “bad girl” side. Our photogs spotted Ben Affleck arriving at LAX yesterday. The actor, whose Daredevil movie will have a special Blu-Ray director’s cut release next month, just bought a fabulous new house with wife, jennifer Garner. The couple purchased a 9,900-square-foot house with seven bedrooms, seven baths, six fireplaces, a brick wine cellar, a library and a three-car garage in the posh Brentwood area. The couple are expecting their second child, with Jennifer rumored to be already five months pregnant. The duo recently traveled to Miami to host a Barack Obama fundraiser. …stays together! Here are some great shots of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck taken a few days ago at Los Angeles International Airport. The couple were heading to Miami, where they were hosted a fundraiser for Barack Obama Saturday night. Yes, Jen and Ben were flying commercial. And yes, the duo had to take off their shoes when they went through security like everybody else. Jen even did it with such a big smile, you’d think she was running for office. She’s definitely glowing and looking fabulous in her all her pregnancy glory! Once in Miami, Jen and Ben met up with good friends Matt Damon and wife Luciana. Actually, I’m not really sure if Ben Affleck was lunching solo, but if he’s not with Jennifer or Violet in a picture, I consider him solo. That’s right, solo! And I have nowhere else to go with that, so let’s move on. It’s been recently revealed by Jen’s old Alias co-star that she’s with child, although the couple has yet to confirm the pregnancy. Well, another close source to the couple has just re-confirmed the baby news. Ben’s mom, Chris, reportedly told friends at a wedding she attended (which Ben & Jen were supposed to attend) why the couple were not present and made the reason loud and clear. “She put her hands on her tummy, patted it gently and gave a huge smile,” the source claims. “Then she leaned in and said ‘Baby No. 2!’” Well, now, if that isn’t a confirmation, then I don’t know what is. It looks like Jennifer Garner’s luscious baby bumps are coming into full view now. Our photogs got some great shots of the visibly pregnant actress taking little Violet out for a play date in Santa Monica earlier today. Wonder where hubby Ben Affleck was this fine morning. Maybe he was doing more house hunting, since the couple seems to be looking for a new place now that Jen’s pregnant again. Jen and Violet enjoyed some time at the beach and then headed to the Children’s Art Studio in Brentwood, where mother and daughter had a great time visiting their creative sides. With a new kid on the way, the Afflecks will probably need a bigger house. Thus, it wasn’t such a surprise when our photogs spotted Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner looking through some open houses in the Brentwood area yesterday. The couple have been recently plagued with divorce rumors, but they looked every bit the loving and happy couple yesterday. Hey, just because Ben’s not hamming it up for the cameras like he did with JLo back in the day, doesn’t mean he’s not loving on his Jenny now. Know what I mean, Vern? Anyway, I’m sure they saw many beautiful and expensive homes yesterday and will be calling their broker today about seeing more this weekend with Violet. Who said these two were getting a divorce? Silly people! Our photogs caught up with the Garner-Affleck family this weekend after they had breakfast at Early World restaurant in Brentwood. Despite all the break-up rumors, Ben recently told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that family life is “pretty great.” And he added: “We’re very happy. Things couldn’t be better. We’re kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home.” Sounds good to me. Ben and Jen were also spotted this weekend going on a double date with Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana. They were possibly celebrating Ben and Jen’s third wedding anniversary (which was on Sunday).
