Billy Bob Wants Angie Back

In his films, anyway. Billy Bob Thornton was asked by TheBoot which actresses he’s dying to work with.
“Jessica Biel for one reason and Cate Blanchett for another. I’ve worked with Cate twice, and I’d say she’s probably the best actress out there. I’d like to do another movie with Angie [ex-wife Angelina Jolie], too, one of these days. We talk all the time. She and I keep looking for something to do together; we just have to find the right thing.”
Good luck, since their marriage was obviously not the “right thing.”

Thornton Says Leoni Affair Rumors Are “Manure”

Looks like Billy Bob Thornton doesn’t like being named as the third angle of the David Duchovny/Tea Leoni split. Of course, Duchovny’s little sex addiction problem didn’t help but there are reports that Leoni and Thornton got down-and-dirty while making the upcoming film “Manure.” (Yeah, sometimes the lines just write themselves.) Billy Bob’s PR rep claims “Billy Bob Thornton and Tea Leoni are just friends” while Leoni told this month’s More magazine “Billy Bob Thornton…is maybe my new favorite person in the world.” This sounds suspiciously like what Billy Bob told his fourth wife before he dumped her for Laura Dern, who was later blindsided by his surprise elopement with Angelina Jolie. Wonder if the film will turn out to be a steaming pile of, well, you know.

Meet Freddy Krueger 2.0?

Billy Bob Thornton can pretty much play anything in my book, so I wasn’t surprised, nor upset, that he might be taking over the Freddy Krueger role. Robert Englund is the Freddy we all know and love, but word on the street is that he won’t be taking on the role in the planned Nightmare on Elm Street remake. Robert announced the news last week while promoting another movie on local radio show ‘Loveline’. Actually, he didn’t announce – he simply stated that he “heard a rumor” that Billy Bob would be taking over the Freddy role. There has been no confirmation from Billy Bob nor the producers of the remake, so for now this is all a rumor. Still, I would love to see Billy Bob do his take on Krueger. Angelina’s ex is a pretty darn good actor, after all.

Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton is doing a lot of singing these days. Billy and his band, the Boxmasters, have been performing around the country and getting pretty decent reviews for their “Modbillly” sound, as one newspaper called it. So it’s been jolly good times for Angelina’s ex lately. To top it off, it’s his birthday today. Happy 53rd birthday, Billy Bob! We hope you get to rock out on your special day! Billy Bob Shows Us His Eagle Eye

Okay, he really doesn’t have an eagle eye, but if there was anyone in Hollywood who would have an eagle eye, it would be him. Yes, we stand by that comment. Actually, we caught Angelina’s ex filming Eagle Eye at LAX, which also stars none other than young phenom Shia LaBeouf. Billy Bob still grabs headlines, probably because he has that mysterious demeanor about him. There has to be a reason Angelina gravitated to him, right? He’s like that weirdly sexy older man chicks enjoy liking. That made absolutely no sense, but I gather you know what I’m talking about. Plus, the man is a great actor. He did get an Oscar for his portrayal of Karl Childers in Sling Blade. Since the movie is almost 10 years old, there may be some younger fans who are not familiar with this classic, but it’s worth a rental from NetFlix or Blockbuster.
