Cyrus Family Sends Sympathy To Travoltas

John Travolta and Miley Cyrus worked together on the Disney film “Bolt” and their families became close during the production and promotion. Yesterday Billy Ray Cyrus spoke to E! News about the tragic death of Travolta’s 16-year-old son, Jett.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with John and his family. They’re great human beings and strong people. And, again, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
An autopsy is being performed on Jett Travolta today to determine the cause of his death.
Billy Ray Goes “Back To Tennessee”

Country star and “Hannah Montana” dad Billy Ray Cyrus took his large family back to his Williamson County, TN, farm for the holidays. He’ll be appearing at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon on Saturday night and expects to be joined by some old friends. He told the Tennessean, “There will be a lot of musician friends and singer-songwriters there. I’ve seen quite a guest list of people who are coming out, just friends over the years who are going to be coming in and die-hard fans that have been the greatest fans in the world.”
Cyrus will be featuring his new single “Back to Tennessee,” which appears in the upcoming “Hannah Montana” film, shot largely in the Nashville area. The Wildhorse should be packed if the entire Cyrus clan and their buds show up.
Billy Ray And Miley Cheer Up Sick Kids

“Hannah Montana” stars Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus gave some ailing youngsters a brighter holiday this week. The Tennessean reports that the pair paid a surprise visit to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville on Tuesday, where they signed autographs for the kids and sang Christmas carols for them. Billy Ray also presented a $60,000 check to the Vanderbilt Eskind Diabetes Clinic on behalf of the non-profit Fraternal Order of Eagles. Billy Ray said he hoped their visit ”will hopefully make the kids smile a little bit.”
Billy Ray’s Walkin’ The Dog

It’s hardly a dog’s life for Billy Ray Cyrus and daughter Noah as they and a friend took the family dog for a walk around their Toluca Lake neighborhood this weekend. Billy Ray, Noah and the pup all smiled pretty for the cameras. Look for Noah and the dog to get their own Disney series next season.
Billy Ray Gives Miley A Present

What do you get a multimedia superstar for her 16th birthday? How about her own recording studio? According to In Touch weekly, that’s what Miley Cyrus got from dad Billy Ray. He told Access Hollywood:
“No, she didn’t want a Mercedes, she wanted a recording studio. She just wanted a place to record there at the house. She’s been writing a lot of songs, a lot of really great material…It’s a great place for us to get up there and work out some tunes and sing.”
Why do I suspect this is one toy daddy plans to play with himself? But given the number of performers in his family, he may have to wait in line.
