George Checks Back Into “ER”

Watch for heart palpitations this spring as George Clooney makes a house call at his old NBC series “ER.” E! News reports that Clooney will be shooting scenes this week for an upcoming episode of the series, now in its final season.

Clooney last appeared very briefly on ER back in 2000, in the finale for Julianna Margulies’ character, Nurse Carol Hathaway, the mother of twin daughters with Clooney’s Dr. Doug Ross.

“ER” winds up its 15-year run on April 2. Wonder what other surprises they have in store for us?

AICN posed an interesting question. So you have Johnny Depp, possibly the biggest movie star in the world, playing Tonto in Disney’s Lone Ranger movie, who the hell do you get to play the Lone Ranger? Well, according to the site, you get George Clooney. George Clooney is rumored to be talking to the studio about donning the black mask. It is now a much easier sell for the studio to draw a name like Clooney since the Depp casting announcement a couple days ago. Do you think Clooney and Depp equals worldwide success on this American folk tale?

I don’t know why I picked out a picture of George Clooney halfway out of a car. Maybe I’m just trying to paint a picture on how he’s probably feeling right now…like he’s…um…halfway out of a car? Yeah, that doesn’t make sense at all. Anyway, People.com is reporting that George Clooney has split up with girlfriend Sarah Larson. The two were together for a year. They originally met four years ago in Vegas when she was a cocktail waitress at The Whiskey Bar. The pair met up again last year and sparks flew. George took Sarah to this year’s Academy Awards, among other star-studded events. There has been speculation about the two being engaged, but George shot down those rumors. Keep in mind that George’s reps hasn’t confirmed this yet, but that could be coming any moment now. I guess George will forever be a bachelor. Whoever gets him down the aisle is going to be a very special woman, or a very powerful witch. Either way, George Clooney is single once again.

Oceans 13 star George Clooney was spotted by our photogs lunching with a buddy at E. Baldi Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills today. George recently denied talking smack about Paris Hilton in a Rolling Stones interview. It was rumored that he slammed Paris’ acting abilities, but his reps are denying he made any disparaging remarks. Instead, his reps are saying that his answers were put together to make it sound like he insulted Paris Hilton. That is definitely possible. It would be easy for writers to put quotes together to make up a story. Oh, well. I still love George whether or not he likes Ms. Hilton. Yes, ladies and gents, George Clooney made sure girlfriend Sarah Larson was all snug riding in his hog. Yes, I just called his motorcycle a hog. I’ll stop. At any rate, our photogs found them doing a nice little weekend ride in Hollywood Hills. The couple has been dating for over nine months; a record for George Clooney, folks are commenting. The ultimate bachelor has found himself smitten by Ms. Sarah. The two met while Sarah worked at the Palms Hotel in Vegas and they’ve been inseperable since. Sarah’s done the awards show and movie festival runs with George. Looks pretty serious! Anyway, I know you guys would like to check out more pics of the couple riding, so get to them.

National Board of Review Gala In NYC

Tons of celebrities attended the National Board of Review (NBR) of Motion Pictures Awards Gala last night at Cipriani 42nd Street Restaurant in New York City. Among them were George Clooney and his girlfriend, Sarah Larsen. George won Best Director for his movie, Michael Clayton. Other celebs that attended include Julianne Moore, Tommy Lee Jones, Kate Winslet, Susan Sarandon and Glenn Close.

Here’s Kate Winslet looking ravising in black. Kate was quiet in 2007 on the movie front, but she has three movies on the works for this year, including Revolutionary Road, which reunites her with Titanic costar, Leonardo DiCaprio.

And here’s Susan Sarandon, still looking pretty hot these days. The Oscar winner wasn’t accompanied by longtime partner, Tim Robbins. Check out her nifty little dress. It’s pretty thin for a cold NYC night and Ms. Sarandon doesn’t seem to have a need for support, if you know what I mean. Let the ladies roam, I always say.
