One of the perks of being a celeb is getting to go to the head of the line at trendy clubs instead of waiting behind the velvet rope with the rabble—except at the airport. That’s the one place where even the rich and famous are expected to wait their turn to be strip-searched and treated like a criminal.
But a starstruck Canadian cop was so dazzled by Halle Berry that he whisked the actress, her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and their baby Nahla to the front of the security line at the Montreal airport on Monday. Other passengers who had waited more than an hour were not happy about Halle’s special treatment, and now the officer is in hot water over the incident. There’s no VIP entrance for the security line, Halle.

Halle Opens Up About Abuse

For years, actress Halle Berry has spoken out supporting battered women, but now the Oscar-winner has finally revealed how her past led her to this cause. She told British paper The Times, “I saw my mother battered, and could not do anything to stop it. My father was tyrannical, lashing out at her for no reason. I felt the effects that had on our family — I’ve experienced what these women have gone through.”
Halle’s traumatic childhood had its effect on her choice of partners as an adult. “I did choose the wrong partners. Not always good men. Luckily, in recent years, I have been smart enough to hit the door when violence even becomes a possibility. That is something I will not tolerate.” Good for her! Let’s Halle has finally found happiness—and peace.

Halle Applauds Rihanna

Halle Berry has been very outspoken about her own experiences with physical abuse, and is a passionate supporter of causes fighting domestic abuse. Now the actress and mom tells Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos her thoughts about Rihanna, and how she finally went public with the details of her beating at the hands of Chris Brown.
Maria pointed out, “Recently, Rihanna stepped forward and obviously she had an issue with domestic violence. She was able to get away which isn’t often the easiest thing.” Halle answered, “Any time a woman frees herself from that kind of bondage and that kind of situation I’m proud.”
Halle is working with photographer Mark Liddell on his book “Exposed: 10 Years In Hollywood,” which will benefit the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence organization.
