Jen Tops Box Office Again

“Marley & Me,” starring Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson and a really cute pooch, has topped the box office for a second week. 20th Century Fox reports the film took in 24.1 million this weekend for a total of $106.5 million since its opening Christmas day. Jen’s ex Brad Pitt came in second again when his romantic drama “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” raked in $18.4 million.
It’s nice that her career is thriving since her love life seems to be going nowhere fast.
Maksim And Karina Engaged!

“Dancing with the Stars” pro hoofers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff are ready to waltz down the aisle together. People reports that the pair, who began dating in the summer, became engaged on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas. The couple is currently busy with the “Dancing with the Stars” winter tour, which ends next month. The new season of the show begins March 9.
This is not Karina’s first “DWTS” hookup. She previously dated Mario Lopez for two years after the dancing partners met on the show.
Cyrus Family Sends Sympathy To Travoltas

John Travolta and Miley Cyrus worked together on the Disney film “Bolt” and their families became close during the production and promotion. Yesterday Billy Ray Cyrus spoke to E! News about the tragic death of Travolta’s 16-year-old son, Jett.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with John and his family. They’re great human beings and strong people. And, again, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
An autopsy is being performed on Jett Travolta today to determine the cause of his death.
Tom Says Scientology Cured His Dyslexia

Tom Cruise is quoted by Spanish magazine XL Semanal as saying the teachings of Scientology enabled him to overcome the learning disability dyslexia. Yahoo News reports that the actor told the magazine “he was functionally illiterate when he graduated from school in 1980, but learned to read perfectly as an adult through Scientology technology.”
Too bad they can’t cure him of blabbing about Scientology all the time.
It’s Twin Girls For Rebecca And Jerry

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell gave pal Howard Stern the happy task of announcing the birth of their twin girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip. The shock jock revealed the news on his Sirius tadio show this morning. E! News reports that the babes, born on December 28, were named in honor of Dolly Parton and O’Connell’s brother, Charlie.
