Funnyman Jim Carrey has a lot to be happy about these days, especially his love match with beautiful Jenny McCarthy, but now he has another reason to smile—he’s going to be a grandfather!

Radar reports the comic actor’s daughter Jane Carrey and her fiance are expecting their first baby. The 21-year-old singer is engaged to Alex Santana, also known as “Nitro,” from the rock band Blood Money.

A source told Radar, “Jane is ecstatic. She and Alex are now engaged and are thrilled at becoming parents.” How does the future grandpa feel? “I am very excited. Jane is going to be a great mom.”

Congratulations to the Carrey clan on the great news!

Comic actor Jim Carrey appeared on Larry King Monday night to talk about his new film “Yes Man” and also discussed his problems with depression. CNN gave his comments on treatments:

“You know at the risk of like opening up the whole Tom Cruise Prozac argument, you know, I don’t disagree in many ways. I think Prozac and things like that are very valuable to people for short periods of time. But I believe if you’re on them for an extended period of time, you never get to the problem. You never get to see what the problem is, because everything is just kind of OK. And so, you don’t deal. And people deal when they get desperate.”

Carrey revealed that he prefers to take “supplements” but didn’t say what kind. Maybe he’s planning to market his own line of anti-depression vitamins.

Lance Armstrong took an early morning bike ride along PCH with a couple of his buddies.

Later that day, Lance took his son to a medical building in Beverly Hills. I was told that girlfriend Kate Hudson (not pictured) dropped the duo off and picked them up. Yeah, they’re definitely in couple-dom now.

Pete Wentz and his missus Ashlee went to a friend’s BBQ in the Hollywood Hills to celebrate the fourth. They even took their adorable pup with them. Hope they gave that dog a bone or something to chew on.

Here’s Pete looking happy and well after the shindig. He must have had some yummy ’slaw and yummy BBQ’d ribs. Wait, is Pete a vegetarian? Somehow, I just picture him being a vegetarian.

Taking a lesson from Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessica Alba tries to hide her face from photographers but can’t hide her burgeoning baby bump! The mom to be was photographed leaving her West Hollywood gym yesterday and despite the hat, towel and shades Jessica is clearly glowing.

We caught a great scene between Jim Carrey and Luis Guzmàn being filmed on the Los Angeles set of Yes Man yesterday. I’m not sure if this violates any union safety rules, but my hats off to Luis Guzmàn for standing on that ledge at least 60 feet up. I know he’s attached to the safety wire but screw that! I’d barely be able to handle peeking over that ledge for a couple seconds let alone step out that window and still be able to remember my lines. Either way, at least he’s got Jim Carrey singing an acoustic version of Third Eye Blind’s Jumper to comfort him. The premise of the new Jim Carrey vehicle, Yes Man, is an adaptation of Dan Wallace’s memoir of the same title. It sounds more serious than it is, but with Jim Carrey as the main character, you know it’ll teeter more towards the absurdly funny. Just as the title states, Yes Man is about a guy who decides to say yes to everything for a whole year. I don’t really know where this scene with Luis Guzman would fall in the category of Jim saying yes to everything, but the looks on their faces are freakin’ classic. Luis Guzman’s one of those character supporting actors whose face you’ll recognize in a minute, but until I told you his name was Luis Guzman, you didn’t know it. He’s been in every movie out there. Jimbo’s about due for another Carrey movie classic. Dude, I still laugh like a special ed hyena when I watch Dumb and Dumber, but that could just be because I am special ed. According to PageSix.com, Mischa Barton has canceled her scheduled hosting duties for the Las Vegas club opening of Cathouse. Mischa’s management team has been putting in some O.T. trying to control the aftermath of her recent DUI and narcotics arrest. It’s no big surprise that Mischa’s people thought that being seen dancing around a bunch of drunk people a few days after her arrest would look bad in the judges eye. Expect Mischa to voluntarily enter rehab in the next few weeks ala Lindsay Lohan as I’m sure her PR peeps are studying up on how Lindsay managed to walk away from her mess with a slap on the wrist.

The WGA took to the streets of Silver Lake to interrupt the Jim Carrey set of Yes Man and were successful in shutting production down for the day. The WGA has been invading movie and television sets throughout Southern California since the beginning of the strike shutting down several sets ranging from hours to days. I’ve hung out with the WGA on various sets and I’ve got to tell you, they are keeping their writing wits about them coming up with clever chants and sharing other humorous anecdotes to pass the time.
