Traffic School Wednesday

It wouldn’t be a Wednesday without Nicole Richie attending traffic school in Van Nuys. Goodness, how long does she have to take traffic school? Is she studying to be an instructor now or something? Well, her baby daddy Joel Madden tagged along for today’s class. Yeah, I’m sure he volunteered for this assignment. He was probably begging Nicole if he could just stay home and change Harlow’s diapers, but Nicole wouldn’t have it. If she has to endure traffic school then so should he. Ah, who says romance is dead?
Joel And His Posse

Joel Madden and his little DCMA posse were out and about yesterday when our photogs spotted them in Los Angeles. Joel was taking his buds out for a nice little lunch in the city. Joel and twin Benji just opened a DCMA boutique in town and their ladies, Nicole and Paris, were present at the opening. The boys are also going on tour until April, so that will leave Nicole alone with baby Harlow for a few weeks. I have a few more pictures of Joel and his buddies below for your perusal, including one of him hugging on some chick. This is probably innocent, but our photogs did comment that they hugged a bit too long for comfort and he watched her walk away. Hey, I’m just reporting what they tell me. I’m sure they’re just really good friends. You can never just assume things, right? Right.

With all the shopping Nicole was doing yesterday, we almost forgot to pay attention to the birthday boys. Well, we wanted to wish Benji and Joel Madden a very happy 29th birthday. This is a picture of a card Nicole bought for her honey, Joel, yesterday. I’m sure she has some great plans for his special day. Then again, I’m sure their new daughter is present enough for him. Benji, on the other hand, had a little party at LAX last weekend in Las Vegas. I believe Paris planned that party for him. Best friends dating twin brothers. Gee, how very Sweet Valley High of them. Good times.
Busy Bee Shopper

Nicole Richie was certainly a busy little bee yesterday, making her rounds to a bunch of stores for Joel Madden’s birthday. What a nice girlfriend. She passed by Marc Jacobs and came out with a few boxes, assumingly for her honey. Nicole then made her way to a party supply store and got a bunch of goodies - balloons, birthday banners and cards (including a ‘pushing 30′ one). Joel turns 29 today. H Is For Harlow

Harlow’s momma and poppa were caught by our photogs leaving their Los Angeles home today. Nicole was sporting a lovely necklace with an ‘H’ charm, obviously for their newborn angel. The couple have been out and about lately, making appearances at Oscar parties a couple of weeks ago, or hanging out with friends at their old haunts. These are a different generation of parents, folks. Yes, they have kids, but they still party on the side. Balance, people. Balance. Now we’re just awaiting the first time they bring out baby Harlow for a little road trip.
