Video: Cusack In 2012

Monday, December 15th, 2008

According to a mythical Mayan calendar, the earth will be destroyed in the year 2012. A drag, I know but on the bright side, we’ll get a preview of what to expect in 2012 next year when the movie of the same name is released. A whole 3 years before the inevitable end. Sadly, it looks like John Cusack will still be sporting the thin black tie style. Anyway, I’m not sure what’s really happening in these scenes but it does look like John spends most of the movie on his cell phone.

Candle Blowers

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

This has got to be one of the most famous movie scenes (and one of my favorites) of all time. Well, at least for my generation. John Cusack on Say Anything was just lovely. It’s almost 20 years old (it came out in 1989), but the residuals from that movie is exponential. ‘Til this day, John Cusack still melts my thirty-something heart. And it’s his birthday today. Happy 42nd, Johnny boy! Other folks celebrating with Mr. Cusack:

Kellie Picker (American Idol alum is 22)

Tichina Arnold (Everybody Loves Chris star is 37)

Mary Stuart Masterson (the actress turns 42 today)

John Elway (Denver Bronco great is 48)

Kathy Bates (she’s not miserable at 60)

Mel Brooks (the director/actor/Hollywood legend is 81)
