After 10 years and two children, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are planning to finally tie the knot in April.

MTV.UK reports that the pair will say their vows in an intimate ceremony at a chapel on the grounds of their $1.25 million French estate with only 50 guests in attendance. Last month, Depp was spotted shopping for an engagement ring in California. Director Tim Burton is expected to act as Depp’s best man.

Fansite JohnnyDepp.org has just leaked the first photo of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in the upcoming film “Alice in Wonderland.” Tim Burton is directing the film, which also stars Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen and Helena Bonham Carter. The film’s official release date is March 5, 2010.

Rumors are spreading that Johnny Depp will be making between $56 and $61 million for reprising his role of Captain Jack Sparrow in Disney’s long way away ‘Pirates Of The Caribean 4′ movie. OK, a rumor but what can I say? It’s a slow news day. The same site also reports that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly will not be returning for the sequel which is quite interesting as Disney did not shelp either of them out when they made the big announcement. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if it does turn out to be true as fans definitely would not miss Orlando or Keira if there was more Johnny.

IESB is reporting that Johnny Depp has signed on to play The Mad Hatter and Tonto for Disney’s upcoming movies. Johnny re-joins Tim Burton for his take on Alice in Wonderland and also Disney’s take on The Lone Ranger. Not only that, but it was also announced today at a Walt Disney Studios Showcase that we can also expect to see another Pirate of Caribbean movie in the near future. If you’re in Florida, or just a huge Johnny Depp fan, then you might want to be in the audience at Club Cinema in Pompano Beach on August 29 & 30. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is reuniting with his old band, The Kids, for two special shows. South Florida’s KOOL 105.5 FM station first broke the news. The Kids will join the Romantics and other local South Florida Bands from the ’80s for The 2nd annual Sheila Witkin Memorial Reunion Concert. Tim Burton is reportedly lending his take on the classic Lewis Carroll fairy tale Alice In Wonderland, but with a 3-D twist. Alice in Wonderland 3-D (clever title, isn’t it?) is set to release in 2010 via Disney and none other than Johnny Depp might be joining the production. A very “well-informed source” of Entertainment Weekly is confirming that Tim is very interested in getting Johnny to play the Mad Hatter. The source also reveals to EW that the film will be live action until Alice (played by Mia Wasikowska of HBO’s In Treatment) jumps down the rabbit hole and meets the loopy tea party host. Sounds fascinating. Burton and Depp have teamed up for quite a few movies, including Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so this is almost a no-brainer for them. Reps from both Disney and Depp have yet to confirm, but let’s hope it’s coming soon. Can Johnny pull off the Mad Hatter? No one in Hollywood is better suited!

No one likes to hear about someone losing there job, especially in these troubling and uncertain economic times. If you’re one of the fortunate that do have a job, do it well, regardless of whatever it is. If you take care of kids, take care of them as if they were your own kids. If you’re paid to flip burgers, flip those burgers as if you were serving them to Jesus Himself. And, if you’re paid to secure one of the worlds most bankable actors, you damn better be ready to take a bullet for him. Having said that, do you think the security guard in our latest episode of Pap 101 still has his job? I’m not sure, but probably not after this.

How can you not love Johnny Depp? The guy is just way too cool for words. You would think being an international movie star and sex symbol would make him inaccessible to most but the guy continues to be generous with his fans, co-stars and crew. Here he is yesterday on his final day of shooting on his upcoming gangster flick, Public Enemies. Johnny bought a couple cases of beer and took the time to throw a couple back with the cast and crew.

Everyone’s favorite pirate is also a big sweetheart. It must be celebrities-giving-back day or something, because there’s a lot of love being spread around. First Jennifer Lopez shows up at an elementary school’s graduation to sing them a song and now this. While filming on location in Wisconsin for his upcoming movie, Public Enemies, Johnny received a special request from a local boy. It seems that twelve-year old Jack Taylor grew quite fond of Johnny Depp’s fedora hat, which is one of the costumes he donned to play bank robber John Dillinger. Jack asked Johnny if he can have the hat (this boy doesn’t sound shy) and Johnny told him he can have it after the shooting. Well, Johnny made good on his promise and after they finished filming, he sent Jack the infamous hat, as well as other goodies for Jack’s four siblings. Sigh. How adorable is this man? So adorable, I tell ya! That Vanessa Paradis is definitely one lucky chick.

I can’t believe this man is 45 years old. When I saw him walk out to accept his MTV Movie award last week, I thought I was seeing Johnny from 21 Jump Street days. This man is definitely aging quite gracefully. I guess France must be treating him very well. Our lucky Chicago folks got to check him out while he was filming Public Enemies and thank goodness they got pics. Public Enemies is a crime drama set during The Great Depression focusing on FBI agent Melvin Purvis’ (Christian Bale) attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger (Johnny) and Pretty Boy Floyd (played by pretty boy Channing Tatum). This is such cool news. The UK’s Daily Star newspaper is reporting that Johnny Depp is close to signing a $10 million contract to be the new face of Trojan Condoms. That’s right, the Pirates of the Carribean star could be peddling rubbers. Good times! And the best news of all – he’ll be doing commercials for their Magnum line. Happy days! I wonder if the Trojan people had to make sure he was the right person for the Magnum line, if you know what I mean. If I worked at Trojan, I’d totally volunteer to make sure. Johnny’s still a hottie after all these years. He’s aging extremely well. I guess France is treating him well. Johnny’s a huge advocate for safe-sex, so this union would not be surprising. He’s currently busy filming Public Enemies (a Depression-era film with him playing outlaw John Dillinger), but let’s hope he’ll make time to sign that contract.

This is a very touching story. OK Magazine is reporting that three actors will be taking over Heath Ledger’s last movie role. Heath was in the middle of filming The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, playing Tony, when he suddenly passed last month. Production for the movie immediatedly halted upon Heath’s death, but will now pick up again in Canada. The three actors who will replace Heath are Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law. It is unknown how they will rewrite the three actors into the storyline, but since the film is a fantasy-themed circus flick, it should be easy to find a creative way to use all three actors.
