Julia’s Red Carpet Return

Julia Roberts has returned the screen after a hiatus to raise her family—and is finding being back in the limelight a bit daunting. At the London premiere of her new film “Duplicity,” she spoke to People about stepping out on the red carpet again. Julia described the experience as “Just terrifying, awful. It’s scary out there – but it’s nice.”
Don’t expect the now 40+ star to get back to the kind of back-to-back film schedule that made her the premiere leading lady of the 90s. She told People, “I don’t have the bug to work, I have the bug to make good movies and those don’t come along very often.”
Well, they certainly don’t some along very often for an actress over 40 in Hollywood. It’s just as well she has other priorities these days.

Julia Loves Being A Mom

Julia Roberts has been laying kinda low lately but she has a new film called “Duplicity” coming out next month, so expect to see her on the cover of every rag except “Field and Stream.” She graces the March cover of Allure, looking much younger than her years—and totally PhotoShopped. Inside, she rhapsodizes about her home life with second husband Danny Moder and kids Hazel and Phinnaeus, 4, and Henry, 20 months.
“The key to beauty is always to be looking at someone who loves you, really. One of my favorite things about my children right now, even Henry, who can’t say all the words…sometimes he’ll see me and go, ‘Ma-ma!’ and throw himself on me. Or Finn says he likes my earrings. Or Hazel will say, ‘You look pretty, Mama,’ first thing in the morning. And I realize, that’s all my husband.
?They’re seeing the things that he does and the way that he shares his feelings with me, and the way that I share my feelings with him. The coolest thing you can do for your children is to love each other in their presence.”
Aww, how sweet. It’s always so adorable when these actresses who spent their younger years sleeping their way through every male in Hollywood hit forty and become Mommy of the Year.

Our NY peeps caught up with Julia Roberts filming her upcoming movie, Duplicity, in New York City. The mom of three did her best Diana Ross (with or without The Supremes) impression for our photogs. Julia’s definitely known as a non-fan of paps and have been caught telling photogs how to behave in public on more than one occasion. I guess when you become a mom, you get that itch to just naturally tell folks what to do. It’s normal. Anyway, Duplicity is about a pair of corporate spies (Julie and Clive Owen) who share a steamy past aiming to pull off the ultimate con job. Sounds like a pretty good story line. I haven’t seen Jules in a movie for a minute now and I dig her as an actress, so I’m looking forward to this. We have more pics of Julia below. Check them out!

Julia’s Duplicitous Ways

Closer costars Julia Roberts and Clive Owen will be teaming up again for a new movie. They’re currently filming Duplicity in New York City, where our photog found Ms. Roberts on set. Believe me, that’s a big smile when it comes to Julia and dealing with the pap. She does like her space, as do most folks, and our photogs are very professional when it comes to stuff like that. I’m glad Julia and Clive are teaming up again. They had a really great rapport on screen last time, so I’m looking forward to this movie. It’s about a couple who worked as spies for opposite sides (sounds like Mr. and Mrs. Smith) and plan to pull off a con together to steal some special product. Well, it goes something like that. I guess we’ll have just to wait until the movie comes out.

Julia Roberts Can Hold Her Own!

Watch out New York! Julia Roberts doesn’t need security! She can hold her own on the New York City streets. We caught her out giving a ’stern talking to’ to a couple of photogs today as she strolled in the east village. Apparently, she does not appreciate being chased and followed. Even stating to one, ” Don’t run! Don’t be a punk! I am standing right here! Come and get your picture!”
However, when she spotted one of JFX’s own from across the street she yelled, “That’s what I am talking about, you’re old school. I like you!” And she came on over and patted him on the shoulder.
I love a tough woman, and JFX likes you too, Julia!
