Video: Katie And Tom’s High Tech GPS
Thursday, July 17th, 2008The Cruise’s have the most advanced fleet of SUV’s you can ever imagine carting them around Los Angeles. They’re stocked with the highest security precautions, cameras mounted on the rear, privacy curtains, and all the electronic gadgets you can ask for…except one. Surprisingly, Tom and company go about business the old-skool way, as you will see in this video. It’s sort of charming, actually, in that “I still pay for groceries with my personal check and two forms of ID” kind of way. Know what I mean, Vern? Anyway, check the video out for yourself. Mapquest ain’t got nothin’ on Tom and Katie.
Taking A Break With Katie

Our photogs caught up with Katie Holmes taking a break from filming her guest spot on ABC’s Eli Stone yesterday in downtown L.A. There has been some talk of how dumpy Katie’s looked lately and this outfit’s probably not going to help quell those chatters. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume this outfit is for the TV show, though, so let’s cut her some slack. Although these slacks are looking a little lame. Oh, well. Besides guest starring on Eli Stone, Katie will be hitting Broadway this fall. Unfortunately for her fans, she won’t be doing a movie soon (according to her IMDB page). Her last film was Mad Money, which didn’t do that well in the box office. Maybe she should do a Dawson’s Creek movie. Or maybe not. Anyway, I have more pics of Katie after the jump for you to check out. I’ll also be posting a funny Katie video later, so watch out for that.
Katie Gets Stoned

Our photogs caught up with Katie Holmes filming her guest appearance on ABC’s Eli Stone at the Union Station in downtown Los Angeles yesterday. Katie will be playing a non-profit attorney in the show and the episode will air next season on October 21. Mrs. Cruise was accompanied by hubby Tom and their cutie pie of a daughter, Suri, at the shoot. Suri’s definitely getting her mom’s height. She’s already so tall and she’s only two years old! Katie has been very busy preparing for Broadway role in a revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. She will make her Broadway debut this fall and she will be tackling shows six nights a week. Cruise’s Dinner Plans

Super couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took their little princess Suri out last night for dinner. The family headed over to E Baldi in Beverly Hills for some Italian cuisine. They were joined by Katie’s parents. It looked like they were in really good spirits, with Katie and Tom wearing open smiles. I just read a story about Tom reportedly banning buddy Victoria Beckham from talking to Kate about diets. I guess Tom and Katie are talking about trying for another baby and he was concerned about how thin Katie was getting. He was “firm but polite” with her, according to the magazine. I can actually imagine Tom Cruise doing this. Anyway, it looked like they had a great dinner last night and I’m sure Katie had a big helping of greasy pasta. Mmm, I just made myself hungry. Oye. A Scientology Birthday

I told you there was a big party brewing for Suri Cruise’s 2nd birthday. Our photogs passed by the Scientology Celebrity Centre yesterday and folks were busy bringing in the balloons for Suri’s birthday party. This Celebrity Centre is smack dab in the middle of Hollywood. I’ve driven around it numerous times and have always been curious as to what was inside. Anyway, I guess they’re having a big ‘ol party at the Centre for Suri. I’m sure all the other celebrity Scientologist will be there to help the Cruises celebrate. And I’m sure L. Ron Hubbard would be so happy.
