No Topless Scenes For Dakota

“The Runaways” is getting a lot of attention for its girl-on-girl kiss by stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, but if the director had her way, the film would be even raunchier than it is! Floria Sigismondi revealed to the L.A. Times that she was restricted in some scenes because at 16, Fanning is still considered a minor.
“If I used an 18-year-old, I could’ve maybe had her topless … just to give it a little more reality.” She also faced challenges in filming the girls’ passionate kiss. “The challenging part was all the rules. One person can be on the bed; the other person can’t.” The film is rated R—which means Dakota isn’t old enough to see it in theaters!

A couple of surprise guests joined Joan Jett & The Blackhearts when they played a gig in Park City, Utah, over the weekend. People reports that Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, who portray Jett and bandmate Cherie Currie in the new film “The Runaways,” joined the rocker onstage. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and is getting positive buzz. “The Runaways,” which is based on the story of the 70s teen girl rock band, opens in theaters this March.

The “Twilight” franchise has made Robert Pattinson the most wanted man on the planet—at least by teenage girls! To keep up his image, Rob has to keep reassuring his fans that he’s totally available, despite all those photos of him canoodling with co-star Kristen Stewart.
In his cover story for Italian Vanity Fair, the “New Moon” actor asserts, “I am single… almost everything that came out about my private life is false.” Yeah, we’ve heard that one before. Then why all the gossip?
“I think it happens because, really, there is not much to say about what I’m doing. While I am filming, I live practically [like a] recluse in [a] hotel. I come out only to work, and sometimes to go out for dinner. But, if you read the magazines, it seems that I have a frantic high life.”

Kristen Freaked Out Producers With New Hairdo

When Kristen Stewart used her break between “Twilight” projects to shoot “The Runaways,” she changed more than characters. To portray punk rocker Joan Jett, K-Stew swapped the flowing locks she wore as Bella for a dyed black shag. RadarOnline reports the actress was fine with the change, but the producers of the vampire franchise weren’t so sure.
“I knew I could still play Bella and not have to feel the sweat running down my head to make me feel I was doing something real. I knew I could wear a wig and still play her. And I knew if I was going to fit ‘The Runaways’ into this time frame that they were going to just have to deal with it.” Kristen did manage to placate the nervous “New Moon” execs.
“That was something they were initially scared about, but it ended up being totally fine. And it gave me an opportunity to do something different in between. Hopefully people can understand that.” Smart girl—you don’t want to get typecast at 19!

Jett Calls Kristen Little Sis

Ultimate rocker chick Joan Jett walked the red carpet at Monday night’s premiere of “New Moon,” and she gave RadarOnline the scoop on seeing Kristen Stewart portray her in the biopic “The Runaways.” The film is based on Jett’s memoirs of her days in the teen girls’ rock group.
“She was amazing, such an amazing talent,” Jett gushed. “It was incredible to see her transform into me, and it wasn’t creepy. It was very surreal, like having a little sister.” Kristen certainly looks the part, with her black shag haircut and vintage 70s wardrobe!
