Laura Dern looked fair and sunny, husband Ben Harper a bit on the grumpy side as the couple arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday. Laura’s burgundy knit dress, black tights and high boots are great on her long, lean figure.

Actress Laura Dern wowed the crowd with her acceptance speech when she won a Golden Globe for her killer performance as Katherine Harris in “Recount” but she was a bit too understated at the CAA party for Tom Cruise earlier in the weekend. Her knee-length black dress looks more PTA mom than leading lady.

Our photogs spotted actress Laura Dern hanging out with her kids at the Santa Monica Pier while Miley Cyrus and crew were filming Hannah Montana: The Movie. Laura and company actually didn’t know they were filming Hannah Montana at the Pier, so she was quite shocked by the number of paparazzis at hand. She still managed to have a good time with daughter Jaya and son Ellery, her kids with singer husband Ben Harper (who is the hotness, btw). Laura also just received an Emmy nod this morning for her role on the HBO movie, Recount. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Miniseries or Movie. Congratulations, Laura!
